I suppose that's possible but given that several websites are out right ADVERTISING it... I don't think we can really comment on it any more.
I also agree, I don't think GW can legally regulate trade between private individuals who haven't signed any of their documents and don't have a trade agreement with them. Otherwise Ebay wouldn't exist would it?

Added to which, so far as I'm aware the current regional embargoes only apply to Europe. US stores can still sell to whoever they want.
I was talking about the new trade terms of not selling GW products before they appear as preorder on the GW website. Thought this applies to all the world, but no North American online shop seems to follow that.

Only one person has said that so far but every game store I've noticed is taking orders for the LE set. It's a first come first served item and will likely be limited but they all expect to have them in and to order them next week.

Its odd how many people have said the the LE is going to be direct only. Will suck for the people that preorder from a 3rd party if it turns out to be true.
I suspect it will be another case of GW produces 1 million (made up number) copies of it, if they dont sell out of all there copies then they will release them to the retailers

My LGS is getting in 14 copies of the Limited Edition sets.
I went in yesterday to play a introductory 500pt game with the 6ed rules and I paid for a copy of the limited edition (with a small discount that my LGS offers I might add ) so I am guaranteed to get my copy.
I wisely waited to get my 6ed rules with the set rather then pay $90 for just a rulebook.

Only one person said it was direct only. That has been repeated by people or referenced but only a single person actually stated it was direct only. And like I said, stores all over and retailers I trust have stated they are getting in copies. Just that they have an upper limit on the LE ones.

GW stores still can't talk about this till it's officially posted up for Advance Order on the GW website, but I'm planning to be at our local Battle Bunker in Bowie, MD when Dark Vengeance gets posted for sale about 7 PM Eastern Time this coming Friday night. I definitely want the limited edition set with the Interrogator Chaplain model as does my son. We may buy multiple sets and want to support our local store so long as that's a GW Direct item anyway. I'm sure the Battle Bunker will have some fun release related events the following Saturday, September 1 too. I'll share that once they've been announced. Follow GW Bowie here for a list of events, address and store hours info. They are open till 10 PM on Fridays and Saturdays. https://www.facebook.com/GWBowie And a good sized chunk of my Dark Angels army is on display at the Bowie Battle Bunker along with some of my other projects so if you stop by please check them out.

Anyone else a bit disappointed they put DA icons on the models rather than just transfers? Yeh I know we can remove them (though the DA symbol on the chest eagle will be a bit tricky) but I thought they would leave them relatively generic to entise collectors of other marines chapters.
Just a minor gripe.

No, I rather like that. My only complaint would be the purity seals. They spam those a lot the last few years, never really too fond of that.

A little... not gutted, but something close... that they put all the DA icons on the models, it means a lot of file work for me to make them part of my SoO / SoD marines, but there is some good news - a lot of players won't want to put that work in, which could result in a large amount of DA models on ebay. That means a competitive market, meaning lower prices, so it isn't all bad.

I'm not sure. If less people are buying the DA models because of the extra modelling involved it might discourage sellers from doing the whole 'sell the box set in parts' thing altogether. From how I worked it out those sellers made a very minimal margin on the black reach box set as it was.

It's going to stop me from buying a box. The models look very nice, but would look massively out of place in my army without a lot of work. Everything does look awesome, and if they had put that level of work into generically useful marines, I was ready to drop the cash for a box, even thought I don't really need it.
I could use more bikes, but those are very nice ravenwing bikes, I might be able to use one for a HQ conversion, but the rest would never fit my squad. The fact that these were rumored to be included is what had me keeping an eye on the new starter.
I don't need more tactical marines that badly. I could use a multi-part box for some more bodies for special weapons, but not more snap-fit bolter marines. If they were generic, I could find a place for them in my company: replacing a squad of 2nd ed snap-fit marines.
All my terminators are old ones on small bases. If these were assault terminators, I could use a TH/ SS one for a Lysander counts-as. But I don't need more shooty ones. They were always the weakest link in the box contents for me.
And the HQ choices are all covered in DA iconography, and not any weapon options that I need. If they were generic plastic, I could use them as a base for converting wargear options that I do need. But de-DAing them is not going to be worth it.
All the chaos stuff would be traded away.
The only thing that would make me interested in this box is if they integrated DA back into the main Codex. I don't have a problem buying and fielding an ally force, but I'm not shelling out the extra cash for another marine codex. I'll buy my new Codex:Vanilla Marines when it comes out, and possibly an Eldar one (my long suffering, oft neglected 2nd army) but I'm not paying $50-60 for an army book that does what mine does, slightly differently in an alternate paint job.

Yeah, given that the ratios of people getting rid of DA to getting rid of chaos figs in this thread is at least 10:1, there are likely to be a LOT of cheap DA figs on ebay.
