Up close it looks brilliant, but I think it might look a bit plain from a distance when its such a large area.
Great work though, I'm loving it
LOTS OF LITTLE DETAILS
I do agree that currently it is a little plain, but details and weathering are still to come. The floor alone is a huge project. I will be a little less sane by the time this one is done. If you want i can take some pics of all the little details?
Also it's give away time more info to come!
thanks again for the comments and support

Cool, I thought you might be adding to it, I was just making sure I really like the colour though. If you've already started on some of the fiddley detail bits then it would be cool to see, no rush though

Yes and No! They are great but expensive and you only get a corner for 35$ us. If you want a 4 sided building expect to need at least three kits. The kits are easy to work with and loaded with (skulls) details! The imperial city box set is the best value for starting out. Pegasus hobbies is cheaper and complete buildings. The Capitol building is three Pegasus hobbies kits, they are also easy to work with. So to answer you question I think you should buy one kit build it and paint it, ultimately judging for yourself! I do recommend the GW kits to anyone who has the money to invest and does want to scratch building anything. I should start my next building in a few weeks and I would do an unboxing and step by step construction if anyone is interested?
dsteingass wrote:Yes! The Shrine of the Aquila set is the most useful bitz GW has ever made IMO.
Agreed, but it s still only two sides. The bastion and the space marine base are the two most useful and complete though.
Since the lighting was so much fun I have decided to light up the skyshield landing pad!
As always thanks for the comments and support

I was toying around with that idea to. The issue is how much glass to use. If you only have a few windows done it may look inconsistent too much and it isn't special. Decisions, decisions!

I have no idea, but I have shipped stuff to the USA of similar size for about £4 - I don't know how expensive or otherwise it is to ship from the USA, but I was always under the impression it cost more?
