I am however, concerned if the above picture is true, they just look like recast of the metals.

that would suck, the only way i'm replacing my 50+ grey knights is if I can customize them all with purity seals and poses!

No way the Terminators are going to be cheaper than $50 US for five and they may even charge more for the power armor dudes than they do for "regular" Space Marines, especially if there are a lot of cool extras on the sprue. Some things get reduced in price when they move from metal to plastic and some do not. It depends on the kit, the model range, projected sales, in-game effects, etc. The secret "goblin index" will always come into play in pricing.

I agree they'll probably cost more, maybe even $60 for 5 GK terminators, but that's offset by the fact that they'll probably cost more points in the first place. Deathwing lists tend to be cheaper than regular Marine lists in my experience, despite the sticker shock.

I wonder how buying into each army with a "standard" -- if there is such a thing -- build would cost and how they'd compare. I wonder if GW has numbers on that. We always talk about them like they're the freakin illuminati but I'm not sure that GW is really all that sophisticated.

Ill agree with this. Id expect the GK termies to come with more options and customizing bits than the reg SM termies, so a bit of a price increase should be expected.

Id say that is extremely likely. Would be pretty sweet if they did a SC box like the CSM term lord.

I can't wait for the minis to come out. I'm not intereted in the Grey Knight COdex (I already have 2 armies), but I do want to kit-bash the hell out of their PA and TA marine parts for my Black Templar army. Sword Brethren are supposed to look fancy, afterall!

I've been holding out buying some metal models to represent my sword brethren for over a year now because I don't want to chop apart what I just payed $35 per 5 for. I can't wait until I'm able to buy some plastic kits with a Knight/Crusader style helm outside of fantasy and the upgrade sprue.

All the new SpecialCharacters should be a blast for conversion projects and as representative models. Be nice to get a IC termy sprue outside of chaos marines; Could use just a single purchase for IC models in termy armour across any SM codex.
Run him $25ish with a bunch of options and I'll pick up a couple-three myself for the bits if nothing else. Roll out the plastic PAGK at $40 a box of ten and I'll grab 4 boxes to start.

Now I can't forget the one thing that I am looking forward to most: Daemonhunters Battleforce.............Probably gonna be 2xPAGK squads and 5 man termy squad with a GK hero.

Same here for the most part. I just want some GKT. Ive started working on a collection of custom/converted terminators and the GKT would make a good base for a couple conversions.

Also interested in what the SC and that "knight" thing are going to look like.

Actually, from what I hear, they are very much updated, Terminators now resized to the current Terminator size (which means, yes, that pic shows resin masters of the old terminators). All armour is much more ornate than before for a start.

Nice. Pics would have been good. Might buy some PA GK to kitbash with some Sangunary Guard. Or DC. Would be a sexy unit.

Another somewhat pointless announcement from GW, they could at least have provided some preview regarding what's in store.

For those doubting that the posted pic is of the metal TDA GK, I highly doubt that a Marine kit would come with the heads set in the model.

I hope the termies come with similar quality to Space Wolves ones... if so, i will buy a box just for mag and paint.

I walked into my FLGS today, which I hadn't been in for years (for anything 40k related, anyway). I was going to ask the owner, a friend of mine, if he still had my old GK army I had left there. I assumed it had been snagged in the ages I had left it there and nearly passed out from the shock that it was sitting on a shelf, with all of the for sale product, as if it was just waiting for me.

So I find about 1750 points of fully painted and based GK today AND they confirm the release date of the new Codex? Geezum crow, I must be on a hot streak.

They said they will be realeasing more info in the coming weeks.
