The OSL on the juggers eye is fantastic

I've not tried running possessed yet, they look like they could be good as long as you can deliver them into combat. They have fantastic modelling potential though

No real update worthy of pictures Been really busy and distracted lately with real life (woo). I just thought I should show my face so people know I havn't given up on this blog

I finally have some pictures to show off! The Juggernauts are done for both the Banner Bearer and Musician. I really struggled to get motivated to paint these up, but now I am halfway to finishing these two it's starting to come back

Looking good! What's your plan on the bases? Might just be the pics but it looks like the read could use a bit more shade - in the brown tones. I still like that red osl you're using. Goes so well with chaos.

Man, it has been too long since I posted on my blog. I have done work but I haven't really had any motivation and been playing Forza Horizon a lot lately.
I've finished the main hull/chassis and next I will be doing the pillar and icon at the back. I was thinking of doing all of it as stone apart from the flames as I don't see why they would think the Dark Gods would care of it's made of stone or gold.
However if it looks rubbish then I'll do it as gold . Some pictures!

I feel your pain about not posting in forever. I finally got my custom helmets in sprue-castable form and painted up an assault marine with one.

Your work on the shrine sides is great. The contrasts between the different metallics works very well together and the shading really pops it out. Keep it up!

I'm not much of a Chaos guy.

I toyed with the idea of a Thousand Sons army for a time (even have some minis painted up that you will probably NEVER see )

But these are pretty wicked. Maybe I just like fantasy Chaos a bit more.

I've been distracted by Tales of Vesperia and other games and TBH I haven't really had the get up and go to paint. I really want to work on my 40K stuff but If I don't finish my Fantasy models they will never be done.

So yeah... Its been another week I think? Like I said been busy with other games and not feeling the urge. But I did force myself (not a great idea) and I've got the entire shrine done minus the guy on top and the two that carry it. I've left the 2 lanterns off the sides as I thought they looked out of place and slightly goofy. Maybe that's just me? Oh, and it's my second time at painting flesh with my new colours but I'm pretty pleased with it






I'm hoping the blood on the altar looks better than just paint with gloss on it. It was a mixture of Blood Red, Bloodletter Glaze, Carroburg Crimson and 'Ardcoat. I may experiment some more and replace 'Ardcoat with PVA glue and use washes and PVA glue.
Also I apologise for the quality of the first photo. I'm off sick at the moment and my hands are bit shakey.

Use hot glue. Lay down a layer, drop some inks over it. Lay down another layer of glue, more ink.

Repeat as desire.

I'm really having a hard time believing that the brass is just two colours drybrushed. It looks amazing! I might try that with my plague marines since I haven't yet decided what to do with all the metallics. I think it would look awesome on my palanquin!

I apologise for the delay. Real life has been in my way. I've been off work sick twice in two weeks, GFs birthday and my general attention span. I did finish my first JRPG as well. (Tales of Vesperia)
The Warshrine is finished! Impressive looking, and I won't be doing another one in a hurry. I've also built the box Dragon Ogres as well, so they just need priming and some paint.

Well I've made a cock up today. I took the Dragon Ogres to work to spray them up so I could work on them when I got home. I finished work came home and realised I had left them at work...
Oh dear So I'll have to start them tomorrow...

Apologies for the long delay. The Dragon Ogres are making progress though The human coloured flesh is all done and I've applied the base green to the Dragon part of the flesh.

They are looking great Nash although you might need some better pics as they are a bit dark.

xXWeaponPrimeXx: Thank you very much It's a base coat of Caliban Green, then washed withBiel-Tan Green, drybrushed with Warpstone Glow, (Drybrushing with Moot Green after is optional depending how bright you want the skin/scales), then a wash of Waywatcher Green to tie all the layers together.

Well I've managed to get the Dragon Ogres done AND a Fantasy Chaos Lord. I personally think the Dragon Ogres are some of my best work to date. I would of posted sooner but I've been having issues with my PC.
Now all my Fantasy backlog is all done it's back on to 40k Brazen Legion and the first job is cultists from the Dark Vengeance set. I'll have some pics next time

Ahh it's so nice to be back on 40k models. As much as I enjoy Fantasy, 40k is my favourite.
Onto business, I'm currently working on the Dark Vengeance Chaos models. I'm currently doing the Cultists with the Autoguns. I've finished 4 of them but I have to paint their twins next so it would seem like I haven't done much.
The colours don't in anyway shape or form match the Brazen Legion apart from the weapon casings. That is what ties them to my army.

The colour scheme was actually made from colours I had lying around, because I was too lazy to get some more from my local GW
Also I might not be here for a bit as my PC keeps overheating and shutting down so I'm taking it back to be repaired. Should be back soon though!

I'm back baby! My PC was in for repairs but I wasn't in the mood to paint but it's coming back I did manage to undercoat all of the Chaos Dark Vengeance models so that's better than nothing

Oh, and also I had a 1500pt game against my friends Crimson Fists. It was nothing short of a disaster. Lost the Forgefiend turn one. The Heldrake didn't arrive till turns three or four and was the damaged and stuck lock velocity. Everytime I won a challenge I kept rolling no reward on the boon table. My rolls were pretty poor all game but all it means is a rematch is in order to put him in his place
