Thats either Kerrigan, or the Terminator from the Sarah Conner Chronicals.

( Course it could always be The Major, from Ghost In The Shell. )

Oooh, did not think of that one, good (possible) catch!

Hard to tell though, as both Cameron and the Major are pretty similar in physical lay-out. That is, mech endoskeleton with a babe overlay. Of course, the whole thing may really just be an in-universe expansion of a character, and we may be stretching to see a connection.

I would just buy them because they look cool, for example, I may get Niven Banks just for the looks, all the rest I am not too bothered about.

Anyone have any comparison shots of the scale of Mcveys guys to other ranges?

If I bought me one of those not Predators from Heresy, would it fit in this games range?

At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money.

A cyborg - the concept art would suggest the augmentation extends further than I would otherwise have assumed, but she's described as having a modified body, not something starting from scratch.

There should be some leeway - a Predator's supposed to be big.

If you compare the figures between SW and Zombicide campaign it seems SW is doing quite badly for the last few days of the campaign. Zombicide went even crazier with $22,000 as the best day to more than $100,00 on the last days. Sedition wars on the other hand seems to be rising more slowly but on the other hand it seems to have been attracting a lot more attention since the beginning anyway.
I am still keeping my fingers crossed to get the queen of blades but I don't think it will be happening this time

I got the ref. Doesn't hurt that they've been showing that movie on various channels here over and over for past couple weeks(wonder why).

Guys

Help ease my mind. So, anyone whose bought any miniature from Studio McVey can attest to the quality and detail of the finished products. What worries me about this KS is the fact that miniatures are going to be plastic.

I read a post on this thread a couple of pages back where someone was trying to get a "heads up" as to what type of plastic they could expect to find in the finished product, but this question has strated to really play on my mind.

Obviously Studio McVey could confirm or deny this point, but my guess is that all the miniatures we've seen so far are either from the resin masters or metal miniatures they currently produce, but are we spending like crazy based on an assumption that the SW plastics will be comparible (material / detail wise) to GW plastics?

We're seeing a lot of concept sketches coming out as stretch goals, but nothing concerning what the final miniature will look like.

Are we gonna open these boxes and be seriously disappointed? I hope not, but how big is this risk?

Well they wont accept plastic glue for one thing. Though should have good details

I don't know PP plastics but they are different from the GW ones. Presumably they hold detail as good if not better than GW ones but are harder.
Although this is just what I have read about from a source I don't seem to be able to find anymore.

Mike has been involved in miniatures for a really long time.

The stuff he used to do, years ago, for GW was exceptional. Me and probably 10,000 other kids probably gasped in awe about the results he could get from the paintbrush.

The models he has done from his own range are of exceptional quality. In sculpt detail, concept and quality, I would put them right up there with the very best the industry has to offer.

I would be very, very surprised if these models are sub-par or of poor quality. Personally, I think he has earned at least a little bit of 'trust' from the fan community from his work over the past years.

I'm trying to figure out how many of the Battle Suits I want.

I initially think Pre-Heresy Terminators or some such, so ... 5?

No way!

How are these handled 'in game'?

Any idea of how many I'll 'need' (Ha!) vs. 'want' (uh oh!)?

Thanks!

Honestly, I see them as the equivalent of the hovertank: a way to deal with Strain Type 4. So 2-3 would probably do ya for the game itself.

I could of course be wrong, not having actually seen their rules for the game. I'll most likely grab 3 myself from the CKPM, but I also plan on using the Sedition Wars stuff for Tomorrow's War and I imagine power suits like that in groups of three(blame AT-43 and Dust mostly).

I’m not suggesting Studio McVey are “misleading” people, they are showing you a concept sketch of a miniature they will create, but there’s no guarantee that figure will turn out 100% in line with the concept.

With 54 hours to go (at the time of this post) it’s too late to raise the question now, I think I would have been less nervous if I’d seen a plastic sample miniature up close and in detail. My nightmare scenario is opening the box and being greeted by an army of Mantic Elves.....you know what I mean

Well if you look at the range of figures he's done so far over on his site, I think there is little danger of that.

But. But you need a third! Two regs and one boss.

I have high hopes for the quality of these models although it really would be nice to have some decent shots of every model that comes in the box set. Squinting at those tiny pics kills the eyes!

Three is the magic number for me, too.

As far as quality goes, I'm not too worried. The game sculpts they have shown look ace as are the other Studio McVey offerings. I think a huge part of he success of this Kickstarter comes from what they've done and shown people they can do in the past. Mike's and his studio's reputation hinges on putting out a quality product ... so does CMON ... so I don't expect a "bait-n-switch" at all.

Aren't the GitD and opticamo picture of actual casts?
