Not really. Sure it can be used in 40k. Its closest in size to a knight or warhound titan.

However, DreamForge Games is making its own game universe and rules system, which this model is technically for. Still, I bet the majority of them will end up in 40k games.

Lol, thanks, Mad4Minis. I've been working on this AdMech army for years, and I think that these units will provide the final touch for it.

Unfortunately, it looks like the 15mm kit may have been pushed out some. I went to what is undoubtedly the largest caster of resin kits in our industry... No, not FW but they do more business than FW here in the US. They came back with a per unit cost that would put the kit at $90-95 BEFORE any markup at all. If I gave them away, you would still have to pay $95.00 for a kit.

I know this is far more than most are willing to pay, so the search goes on for another caster.

If anyone knows of a caster here in the US or in the UK, that can handle large volume then feel free to email me or send a PM. Until then I will continue to search.

If you find another caster, let me know. Thats the problem I'm having getting my own mini line going, unrealistic pricing for resin minis in domestic shops. I refuse to support the chicoms with my money and my IP.

and this is what saddens me. Hopefully people decide to give Iron Core a try once its released, given that so many are going to end up buying the minis anyway.

Sent you a PM. I've already contacted Mark about doing the 15mm version for him as I'm confident that I can do it for a fraction of the cost. He's pretty busy so I'm standing by to see what he says.

Althought this isn't a formal announcement, next summer I'll be moving into a 900 sq ft shop and adding two additional vac chambers and about a dozen pressure casting systems. Two things to get out of the way first, finish this damn degree and clear out the cars that currently inhabit said shop...they'll be my seed money. The problem with a lot of larger shops out there is overhead. As I can probably accomodate myself and two employees in a building I already own, I should be able to beat most pricewise. Quality, no problem.

That would be great...with the 15mm leviathans sitting perfect in size for a knight or dreadknight I think sales of it would be huge.

I received part of batch 2 and will expect another delivery soon. I am still trying to get everyone from batch one out.... Due to miscasts and missing items I have been wasting a lot of time casting things in my workshop to try and get the orders filled. I don't have molds for everything so I still need to rely on the caster for many of these items.

Very frustrating.. Its moving along, just not as fast as I would like.

I got a shipping notice tonight so I should be seeing my package in fairly short order, super excited

I know that there's been some hold up on the casting end so the wait hasn't been a big deal, I'm glad Mark has kept us up to date and I hope all the kinks get worked out. Can't wait to finally see the kit firsthand.

While I understand your frustration, shouldnt the onus and duty of care be upon the caster NOT to mis-cast items or supply them with pieces missing?

Eye, it is... but the onus is on me to try and complete my orders and take care of my customers.... The buck stops here

I have been in contact with the caster several times a week pushing for better quality control and pushing to keep on schedule.

This is not an ideal situation, It takes me away from designing and releasing new kits and variants. I hope as we move forward that I will not need to spend soooo much time dealing with these issues, but for now, its my reality

Mine showed up today, opening that box is a moment of sheer awesomess, followed shortly after by a wave of oh crap what have I gotten myself into?

The number of parts is rather overwhelming at first, and that's coming from a guy who's built both a warhound titan and a thunderhawk. I'm sure I'll be able to get onto assembly with no problems but it's just intimdating at first due to the sheer volume of parts. At a glance the parts all seem to be very nicely cast and almost no flash.

Once I have a chance to tear into the kit a bit more I'll post up pics in a seperate thread. So far I'm quite impressed, you did a great job Mark

I think I was in batch two, the shipping took about a week (I'm in the US)

From my own store experiences I know international shipping can sometimes be really long, 2-3 weeks is typical and sometimes longer if it gets held in customs. A lot of times customs will have it and either take forever to clear it, or if they need to apply an import or VAT tax they drag on getting a notice to you that it's awaiting pick up. I'd put my guess on that being the cause of the hold up. It never hurts to inquire at the local post office.

I've noticed that when packages are inquired about at the PO that it often shows up the very next day, really weird timing.

So if one were to place an order today, how long approximately to get it? Did you order extra or will it take say 10 or more people ordering till you can put another order in through the master.

Yeah the swappable system is a big sell. You buy the main model, plus whatever extra weapons you want, then just swap on what you need for the game being played. Better than having to convert for magnets, and far better than having to buy another model for each weapon configuration.

One less crusader available, better get them quick.

Mark any idea as to when then next three leviathans will be available? Or at least the Eisenkern Faction troops will be out?

I'be been watching the progress for over a year now, and missed out on the preorders, but saving up for what I'be seen to be a real quality product.

Best of luck with this endeavor.
