Hello!

I got my lovely Ork Trophy base in the mail the other day, and since then I Orkified it, hopefully enough to please Chronos Trigger

There is space for a personalised Ork Gliff plate, and it's big enough to house a 40mm base, so this boy must have snuck onto his nobs base!!

On Sale as of now, only £14!

You guys should consider making Dice Cups. Capped containers with etched insignias. Those would be bad ass!

Just had a look through the bases and they look great. Gave a couple of them a quick wash (as in soap and water) and it really made them a lot clearer.

Also, love the extra symbols I requested - they look fantastic.

The whole base design probably would not suit other people (I placed a regular IG model on the base and it blocked out a lot of the design). However, as my bases are all for "jump" infantry with a minimal footprint on the base they should be fine

I would advise anyone who was thinking of getting some custom bases made to pick a relatively simple very clear design so it can be easily seen when the model is placed on the base. If you had a base similar to mine which is quite finely detailed the effect would be lost when a regular style of model is placed on it.

I think I may end up tinting the bases very slightly just to make the design stand out a little bit more (I will almost certainly be painting the squad numbers/marking so they show up really brightly).

They were also very quick to arrive from me actually placing an order (rather than jabbering away to the guys at Warmill ).

Very pleased

Hi all

We've been a bit quiet on the update front for a few days, a combination of us both working extra hours at our respective day jobs, Ed coming down with the man flu and us working away on all the boring stuff before we can get the website up properly means we haven't been able to make lots of cool stuff unfortunately! We did get a couple of commissions out the door and got some good feedback which will help us in the future ( many thanks Silver and Dionysus ).

We've both been burning ourselves out a bit so took a break at the weekend to do a bit of painting (though there's not much to show yet) and we've decided to enter armies on parade, Ed with Eldar and me with guard or space marines depending on whether I can get that Valk kit done. I went to cut the next master and discovered all my chemiwood was too thin, so it's on hold until we can order some Hopefully it won't take too long to arrive and we can get cracking on it again.

We're going to focus on our website for the next couple of weeks, so updates will be a bit slower, but we'll try and squeeze in the odd bit of making here and there

Cheers all

Harry

yeah all better now, started on a Friday and ruined my weekend, but better for work on Monday - what is that about?!?!

We received a bunch of sample silicones and resins in order to make bases, shoulder pad icons and the like, so that could be where we head next. Work is still mental as every course at the Uni is prepping for their final shows next month, its really draining!

Thanks for the comments, a lot of the motivation we had needs to be re invigorated, we were producing stuff at a rate of knots - all seems quiet now doesn't it! :(

Hello!

Things take ages! Well, we had somewhat of a lazy Saturday...whats this world coming to!

Firstly, we have to thank two people for this idea, Asylum_Inmate for the nod, and then the proprietor of our LHS who wanted a set for his converted marines chapter!

Secondly - sorry for the bad iphone pics :( (they are actually terrible!)

'3D Transfer sheets'

So, the images show a green stuff push mold - we in this direction as its what we're safe with - lasering acrylic and pushing in a two part epoxy!

It worked so so, Harry drew up the file, I lasered it, but apparently lasered the depths the wrong way round! Oh well - it is a first run

The two part epoxy thing went OK, initially I just pushed in the putty and pulled it out, but was not the best method, as it often distorted the icon, so instead I left it over night to cure, and simply popped them out in the morning with a scalpel. The detail is hot, and the results look promising. All it requires is to shave off the icon and glue it to your model, be it a shoulder pad, dreadnought rhino whatever!

We recently received sample flexible resins, so I think the next thing for us to do is make a master mould and pour in our resin, which we think will give us cleaner results, faster...but again..Things take time. :(

Hope you can interpret the pics well!

Thanks for looking....

Ed

Awesome stuff as always

This gives me so many new ideas for stuff too, I really am going to have to get round to sorting out my marine army soon, seeing as I can finally get done all the little bits I always wanted to.

Great work guys

Time seems to be alluding us at the moment! Doing alot of the back end stuff hence the slow updates! Having said that - haven't really been doing much of the back end stuff!

We did buy an eldar battle force though... We're thinking ahead to enter Armies on Parade, but as with everything...time issues!
