Hey all,

To prove I exist (not very active on forums) I am taking pics of my existing armies. This one is going to be sold to fund future projects.
Wanted to do a Chaos army with lots of regular marines in different Legion color schemes. World Eaters were fun to paint, as well as Black Legion. Did Berzerkers in a black/red color scheme which turned out nicely I think.

Was going to add some Havocs, Defilers, Dreads, but caught the Fantasy bug and been playing that for a coupla years.

Abaddon with Forgeworld Khorne Terminator head

Greater Daemon with big 'ol chainsword made from plasticard and bitz

Daemon Prince of Tzeentch or Slaanesh with resin wings. Think I got them from warstore? Always wanted to paint up Deceiver and here he is

Chaos Sorceror. Wanted to try some different hues and brightnesses of red

Terminator buddies for Abaddon or Termicide. Great plastic kit. Tried different freehand on their shoulder plates

Black Legion Marines with all trimmin's and Rhino with freehand on top hatch. Always wanted to put a combi-gunner on a Rhino and there it is

Detail of freehand

Always wanted to paint up regular CSM in World Eaters colors. Some of them have to shoot, right?

Detail of freehand and you can see some chipping I experimented with

Plague Marines - mix of metal and plastic. Experimented with new washes on Rhino

Berzerkers in World Eaters colors. Fun guys to paint. I swapped out their old, giant, ugly hand weapons for sleeker, newer chain weapons and pistols. Champ has mutated arm that can count as PW or PF

Obliterators with some head and weapon conversions. Painted up in Nurgle colors

Obliterators with some head and weapon conversions. Chaos termi heads work nicely with this kit. Painted in Black Legion colors

Landraider with some freehand and weathering I played around with. Usually Abaddon's ride

Hope you enjoyed looking,

Blackbone

Very nice painting. I especially like the colors you chose for the sorcerer. He is one experiment that turned out very well. The freehand is also very nice. Good job all around!

Impressively done! Your freehand is excellent. I hope you get what you ask for this, it is obvious a lot of work went into it.

The defiler is funny (In a good way). The expression on his face mixed with the wings is fantastic. Very Cool, Sir.

Very nice conversions and paintjob. Almost a waste to have to sell them.

Thanks for the kind comments. I enjoy looking at progress threads (at work, of course) and rarely contribute anything myself.

@Depraved. The bright reds were just built up from GW Blood Red, going all the way up to Blazing Orange I think. Then I just glazed it down with Baal Red wash and watered down Blood Red.

To everyone that is scared to do freehand, just prime up a piece of plasticard and practice some stuff. I start by drawing in very light pencil and just slowly build it up with very thin coats of paint. Just get some inspirational pics in front of you and try it out.

Absolutely stunning, a true inspiration to a fellow Black Legion player. This has given me a kick up the 455 to actually finish painting a squad. XD

Things I particularly liked:

The classic look of the color schemes at such a high standard!
The Freehand rhino tops!
Subtle conversions that make individual models unique!

Outstanding, I'd be proud to play against those! Well done!

Well, I hadn't noticed you had started a thread before PM'ing you!!!

As I said, there are some really original colour choices in here, I like them a lot(sorcerer, berzerkers, plague marines).

Did you say you would sell them?

Nice to see a whole army in the one thread. I really like your freehand work. I think you undersell your skill in this area. Your other painting is of a good standard but your freehand makes the models ping in my opinion.

Lovely looking army. When it sells I would imagine you'll get a good price for it.

Absolutely AWESOME! Love the paint schemes, really bring out everything about the various allegiances. Love the simple yet effective Deceiver conversion...

and those Termiesare great. I agree, as a fellow Chaos collector, the termies plastic kit is fantastic!

Well done on a great army!

I really enjoy the Obliterators. very nice
