How does this sound for a 750pts army list. So much pwnage!!!!

HQ:

Lord Kaldor Draigo 275pts

Elites:

Vindicare Assasin 110pts

Troops

Paladin Squad (three members) 165pts
Upgrades: 3x Falchions 15pts
3x Master Crafted Weapons 15pts
2x Incinarators 10pts
Total: 205pts

Paladin Squad (two members) 110pts
Upgrades: 2x Incinarator 10pts
2x Falchions 10pts
2x Master Craft Weapons 10pts
Total: 140pts

Grand total: 730pts

How evil! all i do is hold my vindicare back to kick the crap out of any vehicles (4D6 on vehicles with special round on armour penatration) and my paladins with draigo maul any infantry scattered about the board! this tactic probably wouldn't work in bigger games but when the paladins all have 2 wounds and draigo has 4 not much can take them down apart from vehicles which will be destroyed by the vindicare!!! and since it is AP1 it destroys on 4+!!! Can anyone suggest how to make this better or find any flaws?

I think it sounds like it's a seven model list.

Knocking out your Vindicare (couple missile launchers should do the trick) means that you're now footslogging across the board to get to me with those 6 termies.

I think it sounds as if you haven't read the points cost for Vindicare Assassins properly, nor have you read the Paladin entry regarding special weapons either...

Good point. I forgot about the Paladin entry. On the bright side, taking away those invalid Incinerators will help pay for your under point cost Vindicare.

I think it's not nearly 'l33t' enough.

Any list that puts over 1/3 of their points into a HQ is a bad list imo, especially an army with only 7 models in it.
You'll get over the "How awesome is this one guy" stage when you realise how easy it is to fail a few 2+ saves against a proper shooty army.

Well, if it makes you feel better. In my game yesterday my vindicare failed to pen rear armor 10 on a basilisk two turns in a row.

I'd say its pretty possible to not "kick the crap" out of vehicles with them sometimes.

i think you guys are right. i think i will fix the point by going back to my origonal army list. draigo and the paladins as one squad then a sqaud of terminators with incinarators as my second troop choice. then i have a little more bulk to my force and i get to keep it as an entire army of 2+ saves which i think is pretty fun. i know you guys will say its noobish cause of the expensive HQ but i am just using this as a building block for a bigger army. also, what do you guys think of jokaero weaponsmith? and sorry about the points mistake. took the stuff off another website cause i didn't have my codex at that point but i got it back now so everything is good good.

All i need now is something to take out the enemy vehicles.
Maybe i should replace the terminators with a purgation squad... What do you guys think?

My nid army is better cause i have been playing with them for longer so i will post that soon and you guys can tell me how you would beat it. (apart from with grey knights cause i already know they would own my nids, need to reconfigure...) that way i can adapt to be better and then no one can stop me!!!

And after reading about them i am begining to think assasins are just not worth their points in 750 games. I will save them for 1500-3000 i think. and how does the vindicare exodus rifle work? cause it does not mention any strength...

No offense, but this list is terrible, your grammar is terrible, and your reading/understanding of the rules doesn't appear to be too good either.

I think you need to have a better idea of the current metagame and also of other armies you will face. To be honest, most armies would destroy this one. Here's just a few examples; IG blobs or mech vets, Ork Kan Walls, Dark Eldar Darklance spam.. or actually almost any list.

Vindicare's 145 bro.

Also, work on your grammar.

I think a 750 point list of deathwing with thunderhammer/stormshields would put a hurtin on this 2+ save list.

Especially if they brought a librarian for pre nerf full field psychic hood.

You can get 75 bare-bones Ork Boyz and a bare-bones Ork Warboss for 750pts .

If you read my earlier post you would know that i did not have my codex while writing this list. plus i am pretty new to warhammer and came on this forum for help writing this army list... i don't actually own the assasin i am asking for help writing it...

And all you people just saying "this list sucks" or "only seven models", I am sorry but get lost. The point in this post was help making a super cheesy army list for the grey knights, not for people to come on say it sucks and just leave it at that!

And as for my grammer I am sorry. I was kind of in a hurry to write the post cause i was doing it in a local library that was closing soon and i wanted to get the post done quickly.

I also said that i was going to change it to draigo, paladins and terminators instead of the assasin. Why do people read the first post and then comment without even looking at the rest. I know now that the assasin was a stupid idea, I just chose it cause it seemed to be good for taking out vehicles with the turbo penatrator. I am trying to write this list like i did with my Tyranid list. I come up with ideas then try them out. See what works and use it. I just thought with this list i would ask people more experienced than me on this forum.

A cheesy list is one that is very hard/nigh impossible to defeat due to stupid/overpowered rules. This list does not reflect that.

To be honest, i couldn't care less if your army could beat it or these guys could beat it or anything like that. What use is that to anyone? If you post something like that then tell me why they would win and what you think i should do to my list to help with it! Otherwise, no offence, but your just being a dick...

Listen kid, you're new to the forum, as you've said. But there's about a million Draigo/Paladin army list/discussion threads, and to be honest the same conclusion is always made: Paladin lists don't do well in the current metagame. So calling people dicks when you're inexperienced to how people act on forums isn't the most educated decision to make.

This list will probably walk straight over any of the newbies you find at GWs, but when people judge army lists they judge it in comparison to the metagame. That's just what you have to expect.

But, did you know, that Paladins, with Draigo and a Librarian, can have S10 via 6 castings of Hammerhand? There's your cheese.

If you want to make a super cheesy list.....start over.

A bunch of people have pointed out lists that would eat you up. I play Dark Eldar. My armies start with 3 ravagers (315 points) and add from there. Oh look - Vindicare gets popped in turn 1.

Dark Eldar and terminators are like popcorn in a Microwave - except that when your terminators explode, they leave us a juicy soul instead of a fluffy kernel.

I also play Necrons. You uh...can't hurt a Monolith. With any model in your army. And a C'Tan is giong to walk through your army too. You can't activate your force weapons because then you aren't strong enough to wound T8, so you'll have to activate hammerhand, hope for lucky 6s, and try wounding him like every other schmuck. While he eats through your army.

Orks were mentioned already so I won't go there.

In short: You don't have a cheesy amy. You're not even in the cheese factory. You're not even in the town that the cheese factory is in, so how can we help you make some cheese?

Ok i get where you are coming from but i still don't understand why people do stuff like that. If you think the list is stupid, fair enough, but i don't get why people cant just say don't use paladins, use ... instead. I know you must be annoyed with "newbies" like me on forum sites but there is no need to just post "this list sucks". It is of no use to anyone as I have said before. The point in this is to help make a cheesy army list not just critisize the base list i have come up with...

1) Change your avatar to something that isn't one of the most hated models.
2) Look at all the other army lists.. hell if you go on my profile and look at my created threads I have about 4 Grey Knight list threads. Read through 'em and you should learn a lot about the Knights.

Listen to me very carefully. We're all giving you advice and for some reason you're taking it in some ultra-negative way. If we weren't trying to help you we wouldn't still be posting here. Even my last post previous to this one gave good advice. But instead you continue to persecute us for apparently not offering help.

Fix your attitude. Read the Dakka Rules - #1 may be of particular interest to you. On Dakka, you're going to find ample feedback for your ideas, but if your ideas are presented offensively, egotistically, with false claims, (OMG SUPER CHEESY) people are going to evaluate your claims at face value. And if they are found wanting, they will be commented on accordingly. And if you get butthurt and respond in all caps and call people names for disagreeing with them.....then Dakka is probably not the place for you.

1. Calm down.

2. Stop being offensive.

3. Stop making absurd claims that you can't back up.

4. Listen with an open-mind.

5. Follow the Dakka rules.

Dash is correct, even if he is being harsh towards you. But us "big personalities" on Dakka with several thousand posts don't take kindly to new posters who act in an offensive, annoying or stupid way.

It's a lot like how the Mods hate all us normal members.

I think he's saying he wants the community to write a list for him. Essentially, what would you use to replace the Paladins?

I'd start with 2 Riflemen Dreads with Psybolt Ammo and go from there. Your list needs more Psycannons. I'd suggest 5-man Purifiers in Rhinos & Crowe, but I am really undecided on him. Maybe Strike squads.

It was my fault and I am sorry for that and i know it is against the Forum rules to get aggressive but when people are making fun of me or what i wrote i just try to stand up for myself. So thank you both for the helpful stuff and I was wondering, with the Hammerhand thing you were talking about. would they all be in the same squad and then all use hammerhand as many times as they could? i did not know you could do that... sounds awesome.

'tis okay, just don't take people's posts so seriously.

As for the Hammerhand stuff, it's mostly due to the fact that the codex is so poorly written and there are many rules issues and an equal number of debate threads. Some people don't believe you can/wouldn't let you play with stacking Hammerhand.. but as it stands, until a FAQ is released stating otherwise, you can get S10. They'd have to be all in the same unit, but to be honest it doesn't really matter because nine out of ten times S6 is just as good as S10. They would indeed have to be in the same squad though.

Librarian with Mastery Level 3 can cast three Psychic powers.

It's an upgrade, in the same way a vanilla Space Marine Librarian can be upgraded to an Epistolary, allowing him to cast two powers instead of just one. I suggest you read your codex more.

Fair enought the vindicare was off but i am pretty sure it is only 5pts per Incinerator. Or is it that you only get 2 weapons per 5 Paladins..

Yeah I havn't had much time to read it. Been Studying for exams unfortunatly. Most of what i read was the background and the info on the Models that I had. But i had a skim over the page on the librarian and he looks pretty good. Another problem is money, i am only 15 so i don't have much of it and no-one is hiring these days so i was looking for a cost effective army aswell as a powerful one (maybe asking for a bit much)
