Looks like you guys have a pretty good tournament lined up here-though I won't be playing (I don't do tourneys), as luck would have it I will be at WHW on the sunday afternoon, so if I recognize anyone I'll come along and say hi.

Umm... I see Titan has been added to the attending list. Am I to assume that Corsair has also been added to the list? He's been sat on reserves for ages. He doesn't have frequent net access so I need to clear it with him and make sure everything is ok if this is the case.

Hi all, first up, apologies that nobody seems to have been able to download anything from google docs. I have no idea what the problem is, but I keep getting a message from google saying they've found a bug...


So, I've attached everything to the first post of this thread. Everybody will need the intro and the file for their army. Please note that the text of each mission is the same, they just have a different connecting story so if you start downloading other peoples stuff, it will look very familiar...

@ Tantras - I PM'd corsair and haven't had a response. If he's definately coming let me know (also what he's bringing) I've provisionally added him on for now so the list is full again.

As it stands I now have 17 confirmations out of the 24. If your name is in bold on the front page I have you as confirmed, so you won't need to get in touch again (unless you want to... )

Just double checking, but Warhammer World is in Lenton by the uni? Also is parking available? Looking on Google maps I can see spaces.

When you get there you need to go through the barriers into the main car park. Its tempting to turn right and park by the big bronze Space Marine in front of the offices, but Tom Kirby gets annoyed when he loses the parking space for his Aston Martin...

I may end up using Dark Angels after all, if I can't get my nids painted in time...

But it will be Guard, and by the Emporer they will be painted! [even if it is only an embarrisingly plain base coat]

Ahh, that was the problem then, he hadn't been online in a long time and thus didn't get the PM. I spoke to him minutes ago and can confirm he will be there

Much like I suspect others are, he's racing to finish painting an army. It'll be Marines, Orks or Tyranids (in order or likeliness), but I shall get on his case today and hopefully have a decision for you tonight.

TitanPrincepts and I have booked our trains and hotel. Were arriving at Nottingham on the Friday 3pm-ish.

ArbitorIan is coming down early Saturday morning.

Hotels are becoming hard to book at a reasonable rate, we've all booked into the THE CLARENCE HOTEL which looks like it's not too far away from Warhammer world- 6-8km ish i think. £25 friday for a single room and £30 on the saturday.

only 9 sleeps till the Grots are cracking skulls!

I will be driving up for the Saturday morning, then heading back again when we have finished.

Same on the Sunday. Makes more sense for me having looked at how long it will take to drive there and back.

@Battlecannon it phil - I've emailed the four who haven't confirmed and given them until 4pm tomorrow (tuesday) to respond. If they haven't got back to me by then I'm taking them off the list.

Be aware that the event is supposed to be for dakkadakka members only, so if anyone who's signed up asks to go they will get first dibs. If there are no takers then your friend can have one of the spare slots.
