YO DAKKA DAKKA!

Taken from www.scrapdragon.com.au, an online store, in the description for the Tactical Squad boxed set:

Tactical Marines are one of the toughest and most flexible troop choice in the 40k universe. Their resilient Power Armour (3+ amour save) allows them to withstand most attacks. A squad is able to field both heavy and assault weapons, so they can dish out the punishment as well as take it. In addition they can be transported in a variety of vechicles allowing them to move quickly across the Battlefield. So you can load them up in a Rhino, Razorback, Drop Pod or Landcruisers

It's true, as evidenced by this White Scars Landcruiser.

What? You've clearly never seen the punishment that a Landcruiser can take and keep on running! Now, what *I* am personally curious about is how you can fit 6 Terminators in there?!?! Must be the Adeptus Clownus Carius (one of the little known sub-orders of the Adeptus Mechanicus) at work!

A little more effort on those costumes would have gernered more respect from their fellow nerds.

I was part of a group that was going to, but the cost of materials for 10 accurately made to the models, vacuum formed, hard plastic(basically all the same steps used in the creation of 101st quality Storm Trooper armor)suits with weapons and other accessories plus the general human drama that occurs to make group members go their separate way made it a no go.

This is also, incidently, the same group I was working with to complete the entire chapter of Dark Angels within our store.

I'm not into Cosplay - have no interest whatsoever. I can however appreciate good costumes - a quick search on Google images shows some fantastic efforts, such as the guys that dressed up as Cadians for DragonCon 2008, amongst others.

These guys certainly do not fall into that category!

IMO it is a funny picture, although the guy in front HAS managed to pull off the facial expression of the front of the original Space Marine boxed set (original epic).
