It is about 9pm there, actually. So they're drinking.

Subject: Rebuilding the Mantis Warriors (7/27: Birthdays for everyone!... apparently... kind of creepy)
Ah.... that explains it. Funny because all of a sudden *all* of the "most recent posts" were flagged from the UK. I just figured they'd gotten home from work but I guess it's more than 4 hours difference between myself and our friends on the other side of the pond.
So... they leave work... go have a few pints at the pub with their mates... get home around 9 PM. Kids are already in bed & wife is asleep... pillow and blanket have been angrily tossed by same on the couch. Nothing left to do but post!

Sober does not equal cheap! Means the guy has to spend a lot more $$ to woo you (dinner, show, flowers, etc.) rather than just stuffing a couple of beers down your gob!

The sponge chipping looks good for a first attempt. I like to use chardonon granite as the base colour, but still have problems with the highlight colours, found I'm happy with doing yellows and light greens, but reds and blues not so much. And something I tried when struggling with fine highlighting was sponging on the high-light colour, then 'filling in' with the granite, leaving the highlight showing. I sometimes find it easier to leave a fine line than create one...but that just might be me That way it also creates little 'chips' that haven't got down to primer, if you're getting really fine chips.
