While I prefer pen and paper, I have screwed up the math a couple of times... where is this Games Workshop one that is referenced here?

I was a long time pen and paper'er(?) but I have started converting all of my lists to spreadsheets which I put up on Google Docs. Now I can access my list from any computer and my phone. If I ever get the time to get fancy with the spreadsheets I will probably make it a list building spreadsheet instead of just a simple line item entry and totaling tool, but finding the time is always key

Army builder for warhammer 40k and fantasy ( I really hate the license updates though, and the fact that there's no App or Mac version yet ) . Ibodger for anything PP. Just works better.

I usually use army builder from my local hobby shop. I don't feel like paying for all the updates myself. Otherwise I like to use excel.

Pen, Paper, & Calculator are the standard, though I will dive into Army Builder sometimes.

Just too many bugs in the program currently.

Army Building, I play lots of games and it does 4 i play. Interested to see most that reply use pen and paper and us Army Builders are too busy to post?

I currently use Excel for my lists. I typically use a building block system at 250 point increments, and since I don't change my lists that much it works great for me. Took me a while to get everything setup, but now that it's up and going, it's a breeze to just print the sheets and get started.

I'm using my own custom coded solution that I'm building in php/mysql as a module for phpbb3. It isn't nearly complete yet though. Once it is, it will be going live with a certain 40k website I'm working.

Notepad. Makes it easy to send on to Dakka or Vassel. Pen and paper is my backup for when I can't use the laptop

I always do it with pen and paper, then transfer to word for torneys.

I've been using Army Buidler since I started playing 40k. It has really made it easy for me to figure out what I want in my IG list, and to make tweaks as I go along.

Army builder. I use to do the list on a spreadsheet but it was taking to long to make lists and check test builds.

Used to use Army Builder for 40k, till their owner decided to be a douchecanoe. Now I typically use pen and paper, or iBodger for WM/H.

I use OpenOffice, but not the spreadsheets. Just the word processor with a table and some sum functions.

I use the online codex (http://www.onlinecodex.de) for army lists. Like the Armybuilder just for free^^

Unfortunately only IG has an english version included. Because I mostly play IG, it is perfect for me, I have both

I would use pen and paper if i had the books. I have online copies of the book so its always notepad for me.

Pen and paper... Plus a calculator 'cause I'm an art student and we dun do the maffs.

I recently started using the Battlescribe software that I found posted about on DakkaDakka.

I rather like it.
