Thanks RiTides, I don't know whether to be glad or frightened to know that my Trolls come between the best of things!

As for an update, I have almost finished painting the Troll Sorcerer and so far Im pretty pleased with it though I will probably end up going back and reworking some of the details. I was debating between painting him normal army colors or making him a blue Tzeentchy Troll but ended up going with the normal army colors. This is mainly because I might end up using him as a Troll Sorcerer of Flying Carp-Rock... and didn't want the color to make that so confusing.

Because he is mainly a Tzeentch Sorcerer though, I decided to make the "spell" hes casting in some Tzeentch colors, being purple, blue, and pink.

As soon as I finish the Sorcerer (which will hopefully be tomorrow) I will be sure to post pictures.

Sorry for the wait everyone, I had planned to post an update but decided to wait until I had a bit more work done, and got my actual photo box (about time!).

So I got the juggernaughts that I needed for my last mounted Troll Character conversion and ended up straying away from the original idea of having him clad in Juggernaught armour. Instead, I was able to get 2 juggernaughts and because of the way Troll legs are, I was able to make a Troll that looks like hes actually riding two juggernaughts rather than standing on or surfing upon. At the moment I think it looks a bit strange in that it would be difficult to keep two juggernaughts close enough to ride, but I plan to have reins in the front hand of the Troll so it should definitely look alot more realistic (because you know... a Troll riding two Juggernaughts is extremely realistic!).

I have of coarse started the painting on the Troll Sorcerer though there is a rather large amount of work still to be done. Nothing much has changed on him though besides him being glued onto the rock finally .

The Troll Palanquin finally has his mound of Nurgling holding him aloft. Hes got very minimal work on him in terms of painting and will probably be the last of the three to get painted.

I also got a game in against the new Orcs and Goblins book and used both the Palanquin and the Sorcerer so if you want to see the exact list I used and the outcome, I got it posted over in my WHFB list thread... http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/30/345008.page

C&C appreciated as always!

The troll on the two juggernauts is fantastic! I think adding in the reins will make it even more fluid. I can't believe how well that turned out... did you have to cut the troll much? He's leaning forward and has his feet planted on them nicely.

The sorcerer is looking great, too! We're definitely going in different directions on our characters, but honestly you're giving me second thoughts about my choices . Will be sure to post pics once I have something going on them (and the last piece comes in the mail from Canada... I've already waited a month!)

Also great that the sorcerer did so well in his "debut" game . For effectiveness, I think the disc may be best for characters in a list like this, although I'm very interested to see how the juggernaut fairs (I'm making one too). Do you envision any advantage for the palanquin, or is it just for awesomeness?

Thanks RiTides/Salvage.

The Juggernaught didn't require much reposing at all actually. The way the legs are were already perfect so I only had to glue the feet on wierd then green stuff em (which I still need to do).

The Sorcerer has been a pain in the arse this entire time to be honest... Surprisingly he is fairly stable as a whole, but when it does fall, he tends to break his staff almost instictivly, and its very frustrating. So next time I make something similar I need to make sure I don't use metal rods that I won't be able to pin.

The Palanquin has done fairly well in game. So far no one has really tried to target him since there are bigger threats. But Ill keep trying and let you know.

It was a fun game to say the least, the Sorcerer was definitely what made the game for me, though I did play a game on Monday against Beastmen and got stomped. Im not one to complain about rolling but I have to admit that the game had alot to do with rolling right off the start. I lost my Drogres on turn 1 in combat and that pretty much lost the game for me since I was free to get flanked by a unit of Razorgors but hey, it happens!

As of current I'm working on the Juggernaughts so Ill be sure to post pictures as soon as I have them done.

Thanks Shattered Soul! They do indeed have some pretty good gifts (I still don't know how that Troll got wings... the lucky bastard).

As always my plans fell though for working on the army, though I did indeed model all day! In fact I spent something like 11 strait hours putting together 100 Savage Orcs... Wasn't much fun at all.

Im almost done building my Arachnarok Spiders and the rest of my OnG stuff then I will be crackin down on the Monster Mash for the next few weeks.

Ill be starting a P&M blog for my OnG army too if anyone cares to look. Should have it started up tonight and what better way to start it with 3 Arachnarok Spiders!

Thanks again for the comments, Ill be sure to post a link to my OnG blog when its up

Well everyone, its been a long while since I updated this thread but I finally got a rather large amount of work done. Spent all of last week painting the army for a 1250 doubles tourny and didn't quite finish as there are still so many details to paint, but at least they are all painted now! I've only taken pictures of the units as a whole, but as I start to finish details on Trolls I will take pictures of them individualy.

Ill try to get some more pictures up as soon as possible! Thanks for all the great comments so far, it has really kept me motivated through this project.

Cow flinging, Chain Flailing, A Claw Arm, and a Winged Troll... What more could you ask for?

Two Heads? Giant Sythe? Flail o Doom? Sounds like pain to me!

Enough vomit to flood a town matched with a few weaponized Trolls. That can't end well.

C&C always welcomed and appreciated!

Thanks for all the comments, I really appreciate it and it definitely keeps me motivated! I will try and update sometime in the near future, but as of current I working vigorously paint up somewhere around 400 Orc models for a big game I got in April.

If nothing else, I should have some more pictures of progress on the Palanquin and Jugger Troll soon!

Well, Im glad to say that Im back on the Troll Train and am ready to finish em up. It won't be any time soon as right now Im enjoying being able to paint what ever I'm in the mood to paint so who knows when it will be done, though Dragon Ogres are in for some paint in the near future!

However, I have been working on the Troll Juggernaught lately. It still needs a tremendous amount of work but Im loving it so far!

I got to play a game this past Saturday, one which I avoided the entire day (it was against Daemons, what can I say?) but inevitably gave in to the call of Chaos. It was a brutal game and I think I should have lost, I was after all, getting my face kicked in throughout the entire game.
And only when Kharanks most beloved Juggernaught mounted Troll faced the dreaded Keeper of Secrets, and tore her a sunder, did the forces of Troll Country prevail!

Got a bit crazy there, but yes, my Troll Juggernaught slew the Greater Daemon causing a massive change in tide of the game, and it ended up a Troll victory by a mere 200ish points. Throgg however decided to scratch his arse at the end when I needed him most.

Edit: I forgot to mention, but I'm sure many of you are aware that the US GW stores are doing an Armies on Parade competition, so it seems as though this will be the army I am going to entire. I dont expect to win at all, but it seemed like fun to create a full 2x2 display board for the army. Keep in mind this wont be exclusive to my Trolls, and I might include my FW Mammoth along with some other Chaos Stuff.

Without further ado here is the progress on the Troll Juggernaught!

(Gotta love the view here... )

And by request, here is army shot of what has currently been painted (not finished, but at least started). The Dragon Ogres should be where the Hell Cannon is, but alas, they are gray and thus not with us here today

*Also RiTides, I will start to get some frontal pics of the Trolls when I actually finish them. As I finish the individual Trolls Ill post pics of each, probably with a full set of pictures much like the Jugger Troll (front, back, both sides).

Firstly, I must apologize that this is not an actual update with pictures, I just haven't had the time to take pictures, not to mention the memory card on my camera is possibly broken.

On the plus side, the next updates should be big, and by big I mean BIG. You'll understand in a second.

However, I need some advice from you guys (and girls). I just ordered Tamurkhan on Toad Dragon from FW yesterday, because what kind of monster army doesn't have the biggest and the best?
Seeing as how the fluff of Tamurkhan allows him to take the form of what has killed him (and I believe those who even he kills? I'm not so sure the small amount of fluff given about him talks about it, Ill double check though), I decided to use this to my advantage. Seeing as how my Juggernaught Troll has been on a character killing spree, one could assume he might have killed the one and only Tamurkhan. Wouldn't that mean? Yes, yes it would!

I wan't to put a Troll on my Toad Dragon.

Of coarse he would probably be pinned and or magnatized because I love that Tyrant version, and wouldn't mind the other weedier version to have a place on the Toad should I choose to make one (and I will!). So I just want some advice/feedback, do you all think its a good idea? And what should I do to convert it up? Im having trouble figuring out what to use as the axe, so that would be great if anyone has an idea.

Aside from the Troll on Toad action, I have just taken apart my FW Chaos Dragon, which was quite difficult since there were so many brass rods in it. I actually ended up breaking one of the legs in the process, but luckily it was a clean break and went back together without trouble, nor did it leave any marks (that would be the second time Ive been so lucky with that model! I broke his toe the first time too). So I will be starting to repaint it tomorrow with red skin because I play two Khorne armies and honestly, I can't have some Tzeentch Dragon parading around my armies! This also gives me an opportunity to fix his awkword base colors that didn't really fit with any of my armies (and Im now rebasing my Chaos army to fit my Troll army [is it wrong that I count them as seperate armies?]).

Im leaning towards blue inards on what will be my Khorne dragon but I'm not quite sure yet. So does anyone else thing a different color might be better?

So look forward to a BIG update in the near future.

*Since I will have to buy another box of Trolls to convert my Tamurkhan, Im thinking I will make one of the Trolls sit on a throne and put him on my FW Chaos Mammoth, anyone thing this would be awsome?

I hope it looks good, you need to make the troll on the toad dragon really detailed. And the troll on throne would be sweet. It would be pretty similar to the palanquin troll.
