Did most of the other "Incoming!" email announcements have any more content than this one? Noooo....so why do complaints about this continue? We all know how these announcements work at this point after many months of receiving them, no use repeating the same complaints every time. At this point my question is, how long does something have to be repeated before Warhammer fans catch on to how it works? Please don't answer, it's a rhetorical question with a very disappointing answer I'm afraid. LOL.

The point is they post Incoming! articles with a little bit of fluff and no substance, at least this time they gave a date but there is this magical thing called "Marketing" and many people think that it would help their "Marketing" if they at least previewed one model to get people excited about it

Can we agree that it's an improvement but not yet at the level we can/should expect?

I mean FFG is a much smaller company but they have their GK book listed on Amazon with a price, a date, a cover image and a blurb about what is in it.

GW used a 8 year old image and told us something was coming, no details.

FFG's book is now in my Amazon cart and I'm ready to buy it. GW's stuff... not so much.

GW has not really done much to "update" the look either; they have simply made plastic versions of the models as they were from half a decade or more ago.

Even though I'm not a Space Marine player (actually, I don't really like them at all), I get excited about any GW new release. Because I'm brainwashed like that. Well... except for Minotaurs...

You kidding? I had a dream several months back I was holding the Necron codex. It was ornate looking, beautiful plastic lord kit kit bashed on the inside cover, such wonderful and easily understandable rules and a model for every choice pretty much.

I woke up and I had tears in my eyes. A man can dream...a man can dream.

But yes, kudos to the GK for their long awaited update. Now about those other 3rd ed books needing a desperate update

Sure, but the thing is that my warhammer dreams has came true before. I dreamt once I was putting together plastic juggernauts, only a few days before they were proclaimed!

If you're having multiple dreams about putting together 40K models. . .maybe it's time to get outside for a bit.

Wasn't Stickmonkey the one that said they were being pushed back, April isn't exactly early IMHO.
I admit, he did say, "much later" or something along those lines, but it's still not as early as some people were saying...

Well I for one want to complain about the complaining complaining? All this criticism has to stop and,... oops

I was hoping for a shot of the Chibihawk with grey knights coming out of it, Im really curious if they have variants, or an extra detail sprue, or metal ad on pieces, or if they are going to be exactly like the BA images, with just silver paint jobs?

When the Dark Eldar came out they did a line of articles including commentary from Jes Goodwin, it was awesome, and it was a series that dealt with the designs, I hope they do that again for grey knights!

Im disapointed because thats also what I hoped this might be.

Not yet I suppose.

So any non news parts aside, was that bit about the Grey Knights being founded just prior to the fight with Horus new? I've read the Horus Heresy books up to Nemesis and have 3 of the 4 art books before they combined them and I don't remember that bit, or that specific time mentioned in old fluff. I always thought they were founded just after Horus was defeated. Not a huge thing, but maybe the rumors about Garro and other loyalists from the Traitor Legions will be mentioned.

To be fair, that only happened AFTER Dark Eldar were released, or at least after everyone had gotten a look at the preview 'dex. We're still three months out from that.

I'm glad we've gotten confirmation, but this isn't quite exciting enough.

Once we start seeing some models and the codex rules start leaking, then it will be time to celebrate (or nerdrage, depending on content).

Meh, after being somewhat burned by the Tyranid FAQ (at least there weren't *official* Mycetic Spore models for me to buy ten of -- and buying the materials to make ten was not *hugely* expensive), I'm going to wait for codex release, FAQ release, and detailed tactical analysis from blogs and forums, before I even buy the codex, let alone decide whether to sell my GKs on eBay or adapt them for the new codex... so the only news I really needed was the release date!

April?! My birthday hits 26th march!!! Yay!!!
Oh, wait, my DKoK and BA won't be done by then...
And I'm not starting 3 different armies...
I'll only have about £50 to spend on them...
glad to see a release date (sort of) set.
Don't they normally do it middle of the month, round about 16th?

I don't play the game but I've found the books are great reads full of crazy ideas and images, usually a lot more fun to read than the recent codexes.

protip to the second inquisitor from the left: if you want to live long enough to make it to inquisitor lord, don't "HUZZAH!" during the briefing while everyone else is finding out what the plan is. other than that, nice pic. hopefully we'll get some nice inquisitors to fill out the GK line too. the old ones (other than the plasma pistol witchhunter limited edition one) are somewhat fugly.

Well, it's a little too early for any hard rumors, but it's suspected that 6th edition will be late 2012.

With WHFB 8th edition released, GW's next big project will probably be 40k 6th.

I'm really excited. I was getting ready to dive into a Dark Eldar project but I think I may just wait for April and go with some Grey Knight action.

I also would have loved to see some kind of preview picture. Hopefully in next month's White Dwarf they'll have something. Not that I buy that poor excuse for a hobby magazine, but I do always page through it at the good old FLGS.
