I really cant get over the amount of detail you are cramming in to these and not making them look over loaded, Warmachine has to be my favourite that guys pose is just brilliant, I just hope his base is covered in spent shells.

Well, at least I've started painting before you this time...

Oh wait I haven't even finished building the squad yet, or based them

But in all seriousness, I can't wait! This is gonna be awesome!

And ruin may have been an exaggeration, but you certainly were a massive threat, not that I care

@lone dirty dog: It's a delicate balancing act - even for Orks Warmachine does seem to be a favourite If you zoom in on Warmachine's base in the preceding images, you should be able to make out two piles of shells - is this enough or were you expecting more? I did play around with having shells kicking out from both guns, but I'd have to modify one piece for one side and it would make it trickier to paint in there, as well as being delicate and perhaps stepping over the too much detail line...

@Matt.Kingsley: Threat... or motivational? I'd just like to have completed them in time!

Basic is so optional. Whoever said that was clearly lying and not understanding what he or is or was doing. I also love the Manz

That's probably a good shout, save it for another model. I think the main problem is the armour behind his head, stops you from giving them a more natural flow.

And no rush on the pm, bud. I'm thinking of throwing up a blog soon since it's a short term project.

Missed that see the piles personally I would make a load of randomly spread shells as they look a little organised rather than spent, if that makes sense

I think he is a favourite because he looks so bad ass, wielding to massive large shooters spreading carnage in his path EPIC

I forgot to mention the Angel scrap motif is just AWESOME

@Casey's Law: Agreed. Make sure to throw a link to your blog here - I'll try to beat it with my PM reply... it was just so long I felt it needed more... consideration

@lone dirty dog: I'll see what I can do - I've still go time... oh - and I can't take credit for the Angel scrap motif - whalemusic360 came up with it when he was putting a Deff Dread together for me (one of these days I'll follow that up - probably about the time I do him a Razorback or something...) - but I have now liberally plastered it around the place...

Will do, thanks mate. I'm sure you'll beat me there, I'm ordering some more green stuff so I might wait until it arrives. Hah, yeh it was a long one, you should have seen the original! You dodged a bullet with that.

Well tel him it looks cool then Yes if you have the time I think it would be worth the alterations as for the dispelled shells from the ork you could just do it on the easy side like he is just clearing up rather than shredding the landscape

@Matt.Kingsley: Well, hopefully more motivational than threat

@Casey's Law: Phew! (dodging a bullet...)

@lone dirty dog: You want the easy side? I can't handle the easy side! Today's update is all your fault You better like it!

@Gitsplitta, SelvaggioSaky: Now if only it was an epic completed project - but we're getting there - the end is in sight - thanks for all of the support guys!

Without further ado or fanfare, I present Codename: War Machine with added shells:

And a slightly different angle:

Had to pin the plastic to the resin. Only had to cut the plastic in one place to rotate to give the same arc on the left (resin shoota) side - so thanks lone dirty dog for the push - it ended up easier than I initially had thought, and I don think it looks more "cinematic"TM - without (barely) getting too busy...

Now I'll finally be able to get to the liquid GSing, work out how to arrange all of the pieces for undercoating/painting, and then wait for appropriate weather for undercoating.

Catchya!

Looks great! I think these guys are going to look suitably imposing on the battlefield

Can't wait to face off against these guys when they're all fully painted! (We should be able to record some suitably cinematic (TM) shots I would think

Lordy, paralysis of choice. Well, let me just say that in amongst all the genius, the scenic base is outstanding and the grot helm bearer hilarious. You're a freakin god mate.

Pretty cool to seem them all together and finished -bar the painting that is

On a more serious note: I just spent 15 minutes looking at the pics, marveling at the detail. Oustanding work! I would add some cabling to predatork's bionic eye though, unless it's a monocle?

Oh, and loving the grot helmet bearers, I think you should paint them orange
