More progress on the servitor. The large yellow areas on the sides of the track will be hazard striped. Decided to put him into a prisoner smock as if transformation to a servitor was punishment for his crimes. No idea how that fits in with the fluff... but it's good enough for me. Still quite a bit more work to do, but I'm getting there.



Progress is slow as I'm feverishly painting nids for Thing 2's b-day. Did I ever mention that I really hate painting nids??

That is fan-smeggin-tastic looking Gits. I really love the stubble on his face.

He's really starting to come alive now. Good Job.

My only critique would be the left eye. As a servitor, he doesn't have much personality, and while eyes on minis are a pain in the arse to paint, I think if you painted the flesh tone over the top half of the eye, so only half the pupil and the bottom half of the eye is visible, it'd go a long way to make it look as if he is a mindless servitor.

Also totally in the fluff to re-purpose criminals as servitors. Hell in the Tyranid Imperial Armour book the Inquisitor in the book gets turned into a servo skull to serve out his like 150 year sentence .

I like the veins around the right eye.

For those of you who don't know... moonpie is one of my Adepticon team mates who's been living the life of an internet recluse until recently. His up in some cave on a hill top in Ohio somewhere... probably with a Browns flag for a door cover (which is why he rarely has any contact with the outside world).

Lovely utlility servitor. It only needs a yellow warning light on a pole. Unless you want it to be flattened by a speeding Land Raider, which didn't see it

A little bit more progress. Hazard stripes on the side and a lot of work on the head. Even though I can't enter Nerdfest's competiton... I wanted to participate in spirit... so I've vowed to do the best that I can on the face & head.

Well, I've been up all night painting Nids for Thing 2. They're done (well, done enough). I have about two hours to either sleep or not before I have to get rolling in the morning.

Either way... it's going to be a rough day.
