Subject: Adeptus Mechanicus for 40k p151 new teaser
I miss the old days of 40k, where if you had a gun firing Gamma Rays you might make the target turn green and get bigger
I'll definitely be getting the datasmith, but the robots need a little work..

That paragraph seems to be talking about Enginseers, and how Tech-Priests work within the greater Imperium, so a picture of an Enginseer standing before a non-AdMech Chimera makes sense.
It also means we're not getting any plastic Servitors.
BrookM wrote: The picture basically blabs on about how the Imperium needs the Martian Empire to function with its many shades of techpriest helping them out...

Actually I kinda like it like this if you don't think about it being 40K Now imagine a Mickey mouse or Kermit voice on it.
Honestly I'd try and make the visor display a soundwave meter. Would be really nifty to. Like it's relaying information to the techsmith and all that.

Poor ignorant guardsmen, it be but one of many of the great miracles of the Emperor! The Emperor is magic, like Harry Potter, but more magic! A most real and true SPACE WIZARD! And for the last time... I'm not a space plumber.
It's actually delicious to think that friendly face is about to rip sentient beings (or Tyranids) in 2. Or Crush them. Or other horrible ways to kill, maim, burn!
I like the idea of a friendly face in a robot covered with gore

Now add the happy kid cartoon voice and the image will be complete.
34.65 DakkaDakka points to the first person to do the robots as above.
The poor man really has a stake in the country. The rich man hasn't; he can go away to New Guinea in a yacht. The poor have sometimes objected to being governed badly; the rich have always objected to being governed at all
We love our superheroes because they refuse to give up on us. We can analyze them out of existence, kill them, ban them, mock them, and still they return, patiently reminding us of who we are and what we wish we could be.

We may as well just turn the internet off now then, it's all a bit pointless now.

The Admech Skitarii looks VERY Steampunk! Look at one of their guns!
1. There's a rifle that looks ALOT like Winchester M1895! The first (and maybe only) lever action rifle with vertical magazine! (and maybe clipfed)
This weapon is designed for military market rather than wildwest cowboys just like the previous tube magazine models.
My favorite 'steampunk era' military rifle. too bad the US Army and the USMC rejected the weapons in favor of Norwegian designs. the Krag,
2. And there's another Radium Jezzhail revolver rifle!

I saw these guys last night at the local game store in the flesh.
Not bad, but honestly nothing to write home about.
I'm going to pick up a box of the basic adeptus, because they look like some great conversion material. They're not all that special., otherwise.
This isn't a beginners army, either. You have a walker tank, a few sentinels that act like fast attack, and if you want to go crazy, add in a knight. As for staying power, GW should have put more effort into what's already out there. These guys are a passing fad army, people are going to start acting like they did when GW brought out the Tau for the first iteration...
