Terminators and Teratons (sounds like an old boxed set) are done and in the varnishing process. Pics soon-ish.

As I already mentioned, you made those old ugly plastic models actually look like Terminators...my group never got them painted before they were replaced with metal ones.

Cheers,

Well, Cap'n, they are pretty heinous. But, they're done!

Wrapped up some things. Rollover! Pics!

First, the Terminators in question.

And with the sergeant.

Also wrapped up four more 'Stealers.

And a shot of them in their natural environment.

Finished the Teratons for Dreadball with these guys.

And the team all together. The Tartarus Thundershells.

Seen here facing off against the LexxCorp Kryptonites. Champion is about to give Holt Kazed a piece of his mind. Or a left hook.

And finally, a Malifaux gunsmith I have named Frost. Oh, Malifaux. Why your legs so long? Why the teeny, tiny parts? Skipped the sword she came with, as it was roughly the thickness of a human hair. Subbed in another pistol taken from the male model in the box, who was less appealing and frankly boring. He's parts.

Contrast is the name of the game for all these guys. Results I can live with, speed I could get used to. Plenty more still on the go. Always more minis. Thanks for looking!

51 minis! That's really impressive output. I really like the gunsmith model but I agree with you about the spindliness of Malifaux models. I also noticed that in most kits there was always one boring sculpt that didn't live up to the standards of the first two - look at the three Wastrels that come with Kincade (sp?) for example, or the three different Death Marshalls (although I think those models have been updated since I played last).

Never got much into Malifaux, mostly because my flatemates at the time (who are dear, dear friends by the way) were some of the best players in the state, and so the learning curve was pretty steep! That said, once you got them put together, I thought they had some pretty great sculpts - one of them is your gunsmith!

My painting log is full of snakes

Nice haul of minis youwashock, really ramping up the production this week! The old Space Hulk minis have a real charm to them, especially when you add flames to the flames casing, very retro! Really cool to see them in their natural habitat too

They look way better than the dark blue plastic they came as.

All the figures look great. I considered submitting a figure like your gunsmith to June's Dakka painting challenge. You could make the argument that either her turquoise bra or the leather straps she wears play a supporting role.

Though I think I'll probably enter something else.

Yeah, DJ. She's got lift. I forgot to mention that with Frost completed, I only have four more minis and all my Malifaux Arcanist stuff is done.

Thanks, guys. Appreciate the compliments.

Work continues. Quick sort of flashy washed out WiP pic.

Always more to do. Thanks for looking!

Thanks, all! I am glad you like them so far. Beholder is done and varnished, as is the BB tree. Just need their bases done, pics soon. Lelith is done, but still needs varnish and basing. For now, I will leave you with a picture from our Underdark wildlife camera.

More in the works. Thanks for looking!

I'm always amazed how you can produce such good looking minis in so little time! Just wow.

Frost is looking really good. Especially the... chest section turned out well, and I really love the turquoise color. Makes the model pop!
Been browsing some of those Malifaux minis and they seem pretty cool. Not sure where I would use them, but they could be fun to paint.
Looking at the original model, I think skipping the sword was a good idea.

Ah! A beholder. After seeing a bunch of them going around in this forum, they are becoming one of my favorite monsters.
Really looking forward to see the finished pictures from the Beholder and Lelith.

Did you leave the beholder in front of the camera to scare the next viewer? I so hope you did, that’s genius! I need one of those just for those sorts of tricks!

Now we know why we cannot find Bigfoot. He was disintegrated by the beholder.

Thanks, guys!

Ezki, it sure doesn't feel fast sometimes...like Lelith's base STILL not being done. Soon.

But, these guys are done, so on with the pics.

Blood Bowl Treeman, who the kids have been referring to as Groot. Guess he am Groot.

Goofy old sculpt. Nothing too spectacular, but he goes fine with the Wood Elves. Third tree I've painted to stand with those guys. First actual BB tree. Why? No idea.

And finished pics of the Beholder. Figure everybody needs one of these. Just too iconic. Pretty good sculpt, too. Lots of chunky texture. As usual, the cheap plastic guys are better when bigger.

BEHOLD!

THE EYES HAVE IT!

FEAST YOUR EYES!

OK. All done.

Like I said, Lelith is right at the cusp of being finished. Mushroom, shark, Ainoa, Dread. The list goes on. Thanks for looking!

Great looking beholder, those eyeballs are crazy good.

Treeman is a boss. Might be an old sculpt, but to me he is a lot better than the newer models.

Fantastic job on the Beholder. Love the individual muscles on the iris, and the shine effects are perfect.

Happy to throw some love at the Treeman as well. I agree with Theophony that he holds his own compared to newer models, I like the absurdity of him wearing a helmet much better than the new treemen that have grown their own.
