I actually fell asleep mid way through Lego Batman (only the second time that has ever happened). Even my son didn't like it and he has a Lego addiction.

As for Guardians 2 I won't be able to see it when it is released as I will be off overseas with work :(

Oh. That Hulk.

Yep. Bloody awful Hulk film - where Hulk's size seemed to shift from scene to scene.

Yeah, but that's the Universal Hulk film that predates the MCU (Iron Man) by a few years.

Barf. Ang Lee's Hulk is an affront to the world of comic books. The only comic book movies worse than it (in any of the studios/universes) are Elektra and the newest rectal breach they tried to pass off as a Fantastic Four movie.

Even the David Hasselhoff Nick Fury movie and the Dolph Lundgren Punisher movies were better than those three! Even Batman's rubber nipples vs Mr Ice-pun was better! As much as I rail against them, even Snyder's Watchmen and MoS are better! I dislike Ang Lee's style far more than Snyder's. I'll watch Snyder films. I boycott Lee's trash at this point in the same way I boycott anything with Melissa McCarthy.

This rant has been brought to you by a comic book snob with taste.

I found Hulk with ed norton watchable, Ang Lee one? Exploding poodles? no thank you, the worst of the recent Marvel movies was Fantastic four, what was that all about. The roger corman fantastic four was better than that.

Agreed. That was a horrible waste of an otherwise talented cast of actors.

That had the finale with Nick Nolte becoming some kind of anger cloud or something?

That's the one - and it's the one that's truly awful.

Ed Nortons one (which I confused for the Ang Lee one just above) is pretty much fine as things go. Certainly got a more coherent plot than MoS or BvS.

The Ed Norton Hulk movie was great. Solid cast, solid plot, segued into the current Marvel movies (except Norton apparently tried to get too big for his britches, hence being removed from the Avengers project). It was quite enjoyable. And Abomination was a proper (perfect) villain. Had no complaints.
Meanwhile Ang Lee's "vision" was full blown stupid and the solid cast should have told him to go feth himself with a pitchfork soaked in arsenic.

The Incredible Hulk (the Norton film) was utterly forgettable. Probably because there wasn't anything to it, really.

Actually...I take that back. Asking us to believe that Tim Roth is a super bad-a$$ special forces operative was pretty memorable.

GotG2 looks fething awesome. I think we're all dirtying our collective pants over how awesome it looks. Or checking into a mental facility if thinking it looks terrible.

I must say, given the 80s references used in at least the first movie, the casting of Kurt Russell is rather brilliant.

While I don't dislike the way it looks, I will not be in any rush to see it. Kinda in marvel OD mode at this point.

I saw the trailer and Margot Robbie's spanx.

About the best thing about it. I don't need to see the rest of it.

As I've said before, I'll wait for another dredd movie before I see another comic book movie.

Anyone think we might see Thor/Hulk in the GotG? Possibly in a credit scene?
The rumours for Thor: Ragnarok put both Thor and Hulk on an alien planet (I forget the name).
It would be a perfect opportunity to introduce the characters to each other. I have also heard that the Thor movie will have a comedic tone similar to GotG, so it wouldn't be out of scope to bring them together in either movie.

Thor: Ragnarok is going to be a comedy? I don't think so. Ragnarok is literally "Armageddon" or "Apocalypse" - it's world-ending...

Not to say there won't be moments of levity a la Avengers...

... but Ragnarok is probably not going to be a comedy.

I didn't say it was going to be a comedy.
GotG 1 was potentially "world ending" too, yet the tone was quick comedic.

There have been interviews with the cast and director of Ragnarok that confirm the different tone they are taking with the film.

Given the director, I'm expecting a comedic tone too - if you've not seen 'What We Do In The Shadows' drop whatever you're doing and rectify your error. Now!

Just back from seeing this. More of the same - in a good way. if you loved the first you'll gonna enjoy this one. Big dumb fun. Didn't expect the silly kids movie to actually give me the feels tho - started to well up a couple of times. Getting soft in my old age. Wont say anything more for fear of spoilers.

You and me both, mate! Loved the movie ... perhaps even more than the first (which I rate quite highly). Drax was a personal fave this time round but everyone in the core team pulled their weight.
Spoiler:
Not so sure about Stallone, though.

Some of the references in the post-credits scenes had me reaching for Google, though.

Spoiler:
Taserface. That is all.
