progress update on my pledge-
i've gotten most of the way through building the Noh force part of my pledge, mold lines have been minimal, and easily cleaned up, outside of a few of the models with really elaborate hair
assembly has went smoothly, and i don't think its taken me more then a couple minutes to figure out how to build even the more complex guys
my one complaint so far would be that so many of them either are posed so they overhang the edges of the bases, or have such small surface areas that you're about stuck pinning them to their base
kasaro to is probably going to end up with new bases with a lot of people, i'm guessing, given how much his relic knight overhangs pretty much every side of the base
Okay so we (Soda Pop) misunderstood the last update we were given. US shipping is still ongoing with the "basic" orders finished and CMoN currently working through the more "complicated" orders now. My apologies for our mistake, we were just so dang excited for you to have everything. It's coming though, they are shipping everyday.
We'll continue to give you updates as we receive them and will make sure to read them twice.

lol, it's like they said "i'm going to use all 30mm of this base" when they sculpted these guys. 2 of the corsairs have such a wide stance that their feet touch the lip of the base on each side. I put them in hot water for almost a minute, bend them together, and used a clamp until they cooled to keep them there. There were a few other challenging Star Nebula models, but then I put together a newer Warmachine model and was reminded how bad metal models with smaller parts are to assemble. I felt much better about my Relic Knight models after that.
streetsamurai wrote: Received mine today. The quality is much better than I expected. Not as good as GW plastic , but good nontheless.
If you mean the Experiment of Death(Wet Nurse and Twilight Knight) that kit is PVC, and is cancelled because of inferior quality. The only thing available that would give a good measure of KDM would be the Pinups of Death- they're made from the same process and material.
Is anyone getting inconsistent "results" of their pvc.
Picked one of the Corsairs at Random today and it cleaned up fairly quickly and notice the pvc was much more sturdy and less bendy.
So I went through a handful of them and notice their is an inconsistency. There are some a pain in the ass to clean up like sedition wars. And others that clean up like a charm. No where near as nice as hips or metals but I was able to scrape the mold lines no problem. By scrape I mean scrape. Not slice. It only took me like 8 to 10 minutes to clean up the big pirate dude.
If all PVC were like that guy, I could have lived with my sedition wars stuff.
I also didn't cut my finger.
Is it a result of manufacturing? allowing things to cool properly? or bad "batches" in the "formula"?
I speak as a founding father of the Restic Knights and not a fan boy.
Unless you're seeing a difference between identical figures it may be a result of deliberate slight changes in the formula
slightly softer more flexable mixes will allow figures to be shot with more undercuts, but will be less easy to clean
slightly harder less flexible mixes give better casts and less shrinkage especially on thin straight stuff and are easier to clean, but mean the undercuts have to be less pronounced
we saw this in some of the Reaper Bones like Cthulhu's head (soft) compared to his body (harder)
Very nice. I'm thinking it's also a great solution to the softer detail on many of the other (smaller) models. The Noh having the best detail due to their larger size.
Nice looking paints. I do have a small pang of sadness having sold off my whole pledge, but I just could let myself get into another game for which I don't like the majority of the model line. Especially if they are going to be that pricy.
It should be 80mm like the Diamondback as it's the Nohs equivalent of a big mech (athough my rulebook is mmm somewhere between China/Germany where ever so I can't check for definite )
greenskin lynn wrote: so my shattered sword purifiers are making want to commit random acts of violence
I'm not sure what you mean there...
yea, rage and it being late rather killed my grammer and sentence structure
lets just say the purifiers have been the first models from my pledge to piss me off
lots of tiny pieces, some mold lines that were tough to clean without killing details on things like the faces, or were on thin parts that could easily break
Overall, I really do like everything from this KS.
But I'm still contemplating selling it all too...
i'm pretty happy with all the models i ended up with for the Noh, but i'm giving a good bit of thought to sell/trading off the shattered sword, in part because i know i won't ever want to expand the force just due to how delicate and fiddly so many of the models have been to put together
No one knows yet. Unfortunately CMoN is not forthcoming with any shipping updates and Soda pop is either equally silent or just as uninformed as the rest of us.
CMoN seems a bit backed up. There's been no word on Rivet Wars second wave for awhile now either. I fully expected to have all my Rivet Wars stuff by this point and that wasn't even too troubled a KS.

What hope has Relic Knights?
I got a confirm last week that Rivet Wars is on the boat.
They had that production problem with the Flight Stands for the planes that apparently caused a bigger issue than they were expecting.
They THINK it may be in their warehouses before GenCon, but don't think they'll begin shipping until shortly after.
I did see that update, and I already sent in my request for the missing PACER robots too, it's just that I'm not all that confident that it will get sorted out correctly and sent to me without a few more emails.
We'll see though, and I'd be OK with a "Pleasant Surprise" here too!

I've actually been pretty impressed with how they've handled the distro of this after the 'breakup.' There's been some problems, but I think, for the most part, they've done okay.
That's still yet to be seen, of course, but I'm optimistic.
We finally managed to get some info. My apologies on how long it has taken. I have sent the update text to CMoN so it should be posted soon.
The basics:
- US shipping is complete.
- Asia Pacific starts shipping from China on Monday
- EU shipping is being air freighted to Germany on Monday and then shipping will begin.
If you are a US backer and have not received your items or tracking information, please send a mail to info@sodapopminiatures.com with the subject line: US Backer - No Shipment.
If you are a US backer and received mispacked items, please send a mail to info@sodapopminiatures.com with the subject line: US Backer - Mispack.
In the body of either include your Pledge Number, Full Name, and Mailing Address (remember your apt/suite #), along with what items you ordered or that were mispacked.
Still lots of reports from US backers that they haven't received theirs yet.
Looks like EU should start arriving the week after next again it's flown to Germany cleared customs and reshipped.

US and RoW Shipping Complete!

Hello everyone,
Fresh on the heels of our update of the Hell's Belles and Valeria replacements coming we have some good news: All US and RoW backer shipping is now complete!
Even better we have some specific dates for our European and Rest of World backers.
EU packages are shipping from the packing facility in China via air freight on Monday. Once they arrive in Germany it will take the shipping hub a few days to sort, and then they will go into the mail. EU backers will NOT have to pay VAT.
Asia Pacific packages will begin shipping from China on Monday!
Cool Mini or Not and Soda Pop Miniatures are currently working together to ship out and correct and mispacks that you may have received. Please contact Soda Pop at info@sodapopminiatures.com if you are missing anything besides the Hell's Belles torso or the miscast Valeria.
Please make sure to include:
• Your pledge number
• Your full name
• Your full mailing address (including apt/suite number!)
Finally, we had just over 100 backers who did not complete the backer kit and whom we have not been able to reach through e-mail. Please contact Soda Pop at info@sodapopminiatures.com if you know you are one of these backers so we can make sure to get you your items.
I was missing two PACER robots, so I resent my request, just to be sure/on the safe side...
The comments on this update are not happy (even by RK standards)
loads of US backers with no tracking or delivered package,
a reported contact with the CMON warehouse that stuff for the US IS still sitting there with a target date to get it all out the door by the end of the month (which if true contradicts what CMON have told Soda Pop)
still I look forward to EU shipping starting by next week (as the Monday refered to in the update was the 21st based on when Soda Pop Deke posed the info on their forums)
Actually the bigger concern is that CMON is the same people as New Wave.
And now their claiming all packages have shipped, despite evidence to the contrary.
CMON seems to be following the exact same pattern of behavior they have in the past.
I see no sign of shipment in the CMON pledgemanager (which should be updated by at least the end of the day in a competently run warehouse).
And on the Soda Pop forums there's been several people signed up for FedEx & UPS notifications (which trigger when a package is being shipped to your address) who have not received notification either.
At best someone misspoke/told Deke a lie and then posted it to the KS, and they have many orders still unshipped although they maybe packed.
Most of these seem to be variations on GGEAs, which does raise questions on their two team approach as apparently the "high backer" team never showed up

Bro, that's a pretty wild accusation you're tossing out there that has no merit to it whatsoever.
There have been MULTIPLE instances of people receiving their shipping information the day the package arrives, so go educate yourself before you start trolling.

And again, you have zero basis for any of this.
sadly it seems ThaneCawdor is somewhat right
We have a new update from CMON direct

Missing US and RoW Shipments

Backers, in yesterday's update we posted that we had completed US and RoW shipments, almost immediately in the comments we began to see a number of backers stating they had confirmed pledges and yet had received no tracking number or update. Since we just completed the above regions a small delay in some shipping information was to be expected, but the sheer volume we saw was way beyond that.
We immediately launched an inquiry to verify shipping on pledges and after completing said inquiry we found that a number of pledges, most ranging in the GGEA+ level, had simply not been shipped. The exact reason for this is unknown but all signs at this time point to it being a human error that lead to one or more packets of pledges just not being picked up to pack and ship, a critical mistake on our end and one we take full responsibility for.
We have already isolated the majority of these pledges, however, and are currently working to resolve the matter. Our warehouse, as well as most of our office staff, will be working diligently through the weekend to make sure these overlooked pledges are sent out as fast as possible. It was our mistake, and we'll not rest until it's been handled.
With this in mind, this issue should be resolved by Monday and all missing packages dispatched. Give us some time to get those packages out and upload tracking numbers. We will post another update again letting you know when all these packages have gone out.
Once again we deeply apologize to any of our backers whom this has affected, and we will be working nonstop to correct this.
Thank you.
,
basically somebody in the warehouse lost a whole load of USA pledges down the back of the sofa,
really sorry, don't know how that happened, everybody will pitch in and get them all out by Monday (sorry, sorry, sorry)
(they lost a whole load of pledges down the back of the sofa during the Sedition Wars shipping too if I remember right)
anyhoo, it will all be fixed sharpish
(and I'm sure it will, it's incompetence, not malice)
I have nfi what CMON is smoking. Seriously, couldn't they get a better customer service rep considering KS seems to be where the majority of their income comes from
I'm not sure if I would've preferred incompetence over malice here, to be honest . Both are bad... At least they're trying to resolve it ASAP. But it does make me wonder how easily folks will be able to get replacements / missing items / etc.
RiTides wrote: But it does make me wonder how easily folks will be able to get replacements / missing items / etc.
I can't speak for others... but I can say I have yet to get a response in a week about missing parts and replacements myself. I have emailed them through the channels I was directed but haven't heard anything so far.
Went to conference and got to play the game and see everything. The 272 page rule book is GORGEOUS! Glossy, full color, and full of rules/lore. All the models are in plastic and even previously metal models are now plastic.
Sining wrote: It's nice to know CMON has shipped to retailers in my region before even SHIPPING to me; as a backer. -_-
This was just a demo and we didn't actually get anything. It was more so a LOOK AT OUR COOL GAME YOU SHOULD BUY IT kind of thing.
You can buy all the stuff directly from their site.

Glad you are enjoying the game. The book is very pretty; I was a little sad to sell mine.
Yah the demo was very fun. It was a little difficult to get the hang of it, but I can definetely say it's much easier than learning every rule in warhammer.
The book is very pretty. Super colorful and vibrant. Each character is well represented with plenty of *coughfanservicecough* cool details.
Yeah, I'm not referring to the above. My local retailer HAS the RK stuff in stock while I as a backer have received nothing. Heck, mine hasn't even started shipping yet according to CMONs timeline. APAC backers will have shipments starting on monday. Meanwhile, APAC retailers will have stock already.
Just got Sophia Drake and am pleasantly surprised. She actually has something more closely resembling a face. Couldn't grab picture to do it justice, though.
Hello Backers, we're here with a shipping update for you on the heels on last Thursdays update (dealing with the missing US and RoW pledges).
We've finished our inquiry and, according to our records, have retrieved all missing pledges. After our inquiry was complete it did indeed turn out that the vast majority of the missing orders came from GGEA+ levels, aka the order with the largest volume of items ordered. Of course all pledges are important to us, from the Champion of Justice orders of only a single model all the way to GGEA and higher, but we understand it can be overly painful and frustrating to the ones who pledged $300+ to be the ones who have experienced this issue.
Again, as stated before, this was a mess-up on our end, completely and fully, with what appears to have happened is a docket of pledges having been marked as packaged and shipped when that simply wasn't the case. Regardless of exactly -why- the situation happened, it still happened, and a number of backers were negatively affected because of it.
To correct this, our warehouse staff as well as most of our office staff worked extra hours late into Friday evening and continued working throughout the weekend to correct this issue. As stated in the previous update, our estimate was everything should be resolved and completed by Monday. Unfortunately, even with the extra hands and the extra time spent, the fact that these are some of the largest single orders means that completing this task looks like it will take a little longer than expected. By our counts we're about 70% of the way through the remaining orders, and even as I type this our warehouse staff as well as many of our office staff are currently packing boxes for shipment.
Given this, it would appear unlikely that, even with everyone pitching in, it will would be very unlikely to complete the remaining 30% today. With the pace that everyone has been working at over the last few days I would estimate that the remaining packages should be wrapped up tomorrow, if not then Wednesday at the latest.
Of course we'll immediately post an update when the last package has been boxed and completed, so please keep an eye out not only for the Update here but for a tracking number to appear should you be one of the unfortunate backers who are experiencing this issue.
Once again we would extend an apology to any backer who has been affected by this error, and I can only restate every member of our staff is working hard to fix this mistake.
This update was intended to give our US and RoW backers the current status of correcting a problem that was discovered.
Here's what I can tell you for EU and APAC. The Chinese factory has told us that they have finished packing EU orders as of today and are now loading everything into a container. The container is scheduled to leave warehouse July 30th, then it will be air shipped to Germany. We don't an ETA currently, but we will soon. After the container leaves then APAC packages will begin being packed.
We were holding this update until we had a few more concrete details because when it comes to dealing with China it is often incomplete information until things have already happened. So once we have the container inbound we should have an ETA, and once they've done a day or two of packing APAC orders, then we should have a time frame before those begin shipping out.
This is what we know currently, we'll keep you updated as we learn more. Thank you for your patience and understanding."
I received my replacement Void Herald (sent the wrong item instead) yesterday, which is a few weeks after I asked for replacement. So those of you who got the wrong items in the US might well have your stuff coming soon.
Wehrkind wrote: I received my replacement Void Herald (sent the wrong item instead) yesterday, which is a few weeks after I asked for replacement. So those of you who got the wrong items in the US might well have your stuff coming soon.
Do you receive any acknowledgement of your request, or a shipping notice, before the item showed up at your house?
The nice fellow at RK emailed me back about it and said they were up to their necks and would get it to me after they finished the US shipping. Never got a confirmation number or any follow up till it got here, however.

Yeah that is what I'm trying to figure out. I haven't received any acknowledgement of my requests or that they even received them. I have no idea if my messages went to a SPAM filter or if they are on the way.
I did receive a request to properly format my missing min request and was then told I'd be put on the list to be taken care of when shipping concluded. Didn't receive any notification of a replacement actually being sent out, though, until the postman left it on my doorstep.
(the EU stuff may actually be preparing to get on the move and the APAC stuff may be preparing to prepare to get posted out)
Update #128 Aug 2 2014
Shipping Update 8-2-2014 and Important News
Hey backers,
US
Yesterday we sent out the last of the packages in the US that we had missed due to our error. If you haven't gotten a tracking number yet please send an Email to Support@cmon.com. Support will try to find the issue and provide you with a solution.
EU
The container is packed and waiting to be picked up by our air shipper. They're scheduling a plane for us right now. This about a week later than we were originally planning, this is due to a delay on the air shipper's side. They have been trying to find us a plane. It appears we should have one on Monday. The predicted ETA after shipping is 7-10 days. This is if things go smoothly with customs, which, as we've said before, can be a very nebulous time frame. We'll post an update once the container has left for Germany, and again after it has arrived. Once it arrives it tends to takes two or three days for the German hub to arrange the boxes. Then they should ship out quickly after that.
APAC
China has confirmed they are packing APAC orders. They believe the first wave of those orders will go out as early as Monday. Again this about a week later than we were originally informed. Part of this has to do with the EU container being delayed in getting out, the other part is a longer than expected turn around time for setting back up for APAC orders. They have given an estimated time of completion for next Friday, which is when they think the final packages will ship out. We will give you updates during next week to let you know how completion is going.
Please note:
At Soda Pop's request, the remaining Remaining Relic Knights products from US/RoW fulfillment are being inventoried and shipped to Soda Pop. Due to this, they will be handling all customer support starting today 8/2/2014. The inventory of remaining product will be shipping out soon, please allow for few days of transit time and incoming inventory check, but after that Soda Pop will be able to help you with any any items that may have been missing from your pledge or damaged. They can be emailed at:
Alpharius wrote: I've already sent my request in, but haven't received a reply, or a confirmation and certainly no package...
Finally received a confirmation to my request I sent in. Judging by other people's experience that is probably the only response I'll receive until the replacements come in the mail.
So my brother emailed them Saturday, since he's still not received a single word about his CGEA shipping. Does this mean he has to resend his email to Soda Pop?
It's amazing what a botch they made of this Kickstarter, when Zombicide's been handled perfectly well. Maybe CMON has turned into Game Salute.

I got my two missing PACER robots yesterday - but no "Hell's Belles" rider replacements!!!
So now in the UK you can pre-order new units that where not part of the original kickstarter with 20% off before UK backer stuff has even left china (allegedly, I still think it's on a boat personally).
Assembly has been a breeze for me(other than missing parts). Trying to sync schedules to get a game in- but pouring over the rules they seem pretty solid.
GiraffeX wrote: Has anyone who's received their minis played the game yet?
Is it worth looking into or would you recommend to stay clear both from a rule/mini front.
I'm assuming the retail version wont have all the missing parts.
I'm in the UK so I've no direct experience yet but I'm following the chat on the facebook group https://www.facebook.com/groups/relicknights/ seems to be largely positive both in terms of the build of the minis and the game play
things to bear in mind seem to be,
use plenty of terrain, failure to do so means that squad based shooters (like black diamond) end up pretty OP as they get bonuses based on how many members of a squad can see a target
Noh seems not to play well as the melee beat sticks they look to be at first glance... made worse if they are played on tables with too little terrain(which annoys some), but do seem to do well using their area denial stuff so if you pick them be prepared to experiment on how to play them
Spencer posted this on the CMoN forum - would it be so hard to do it as an update this is getting rediculous the EU product still hasn't left China yet.
First I want to say that I understand your frustration and anger, and I apologize for lacking quality of service you feel that you've received. I know that doesn't ease your frustrations, but trust me when I say that we aren't pleased with how things have worked out either. Obviously we'd like for the project to be shipped and in everyone's hands.
Here's where things stand: EU is packed and in a container. We're waiting for confirmation that the container has been loaded onto a plane, and I assure you it is a plane. We were told that it would ship out on Monday, but I cannot confirm that the plane has left until I'm given a confirmation number. What I have been told is that the ETA is sometime next week if everything goes smoothly with customs. We will update you once we know more information.
APAC is being packed right now in China. We were told they would start shipping this week. I have emailed three times (Monday, Tuesday, and now today) to get a status update and they have not gotten back to me. It's frustrating for me as well as you can imagine.
We know everyone is eager to get their orders and we are equally as eager to get those orders to you. Unfortunately this is the problem with delivering worldwide and dealing with multiple third parties. We have to wait for information to come in, and we prefer to wait until things have happened to share information vs when we're told things will happen. As it has been demonstrated, sometimes we get told information from third parties that isn't accurate or reliable that makes us look bad when relaying it to you. However, we also agree staying silent until things have happened doesn't provide you the backers with any peace of mind. So we're really working hard to bring you the best information when it looks to be the most accurate.
The fact it, it is one thing with product delays, but the products are made, there is no reason for us to deliberately slow down the delivery process. We are doing our very best to get this project fully delivered as fast as we can.
What drives me nuts is I still have yet to get any tracking on my stuff and they claim that the US is done. So I called CMoN and they said they may ship it this week but most likely SPM has to do it. I emailed SPM like they said too days ago and no response. All it seems is these guys are committing fraud and I've never Been so disappointed in a game is te 20+ years I've been in this hobby.
Dentry wrote: Any word on what's being done with the twisted foot issue with Valeria? I can't imagine a simple replacement if it's a factory issue.
SPM seems to have replacements made and will ship them to backers as they will with the missing hell's belles torsos. When that will start is a whole different question.
Dais wrote: SPM seems to have replacements made and will ship them to backers as they will with the missing hell's belles torsos. When that will start is a whole different question.
Impressive. It's much sooner than I'd have thought for producing replacements; assuming the replacement's plastic as well.
Alpharius wrote: That's OK, but...that HAS to be adding a lot of work AND cost.
I can't imagine that they're thrilled with that. Hopefully my remaining RK stuff is complete and lacking miscasts to save both myself and SPM the trouble of having stuff mailed out.
Mmmm while we are still waiting Secret Weapon are releasing esper crystal basing kits. $10 for 10 random pieces (of one colour) Crystals are between 3mm and 10mm in size. This is the first of some new Relic Knights tie ins.
Reports today of APAC backers getting shipping notices.
One EU backer managed to get something out of CMoN via facebook
their response
"EU pledges should be shipped out within the next few weeks. At this time we do not have an exact date. But, I should be sent out soon."
Weeks! seriously enough is enough, CMoN seem to have washed their hands of this they are even recommending following up EU shipping directly with SPM but what can they do?
I'm now expecting to get Rivet Wars wave 2 which the factory in China have started to pack before RK arrives.
I'm guessing the comment on the EU stuff was via PM as I couldn't find it....
with Gencon so close I'm hoping all the folk who might be able to make sensible comments are busy/away and this is just nonsense from an intern or similar,
but I wouldn't be surprised if it's true. The factory can clearly pack stuff (since APAC stuff is going out), although what the error rate is we'll have to wait and see
so is the EU stuff packed ?, Is it in a container ? at the airport? (or a port?)
I fear you're right and we might even see forgotten king first
Automatically Appended Next Post: Oh for those that picked up the Candy Heart 'apology' mini instead of using the store credit on forgotten king I've just got a shipping notice for mine
A few pages back I showed some pics of the unpainted Pit Crew. They were pretty horrifying with blank faces.
Anyway i put some paint on them and they're not as bad as I feared, so I wanted to give you guys some second impressions. I don't have any metal versions of Relic Knights to compare with, so it may be that the range in general has always had flat anime style faces and its not just the new plastics.
I clearly need to do some touch up on these
They take a LOT of work to clean up for paint though, and the detail is pretty flat on some figures like Marie Claude. I'd rather paint the stripes freehand than try to match lines that sometimes exist.
Mold lines are really hard to see until priming, and in some cases they run along other sculpted lines (on the Belles bikes for example) and that's a real pain.
Final impressions is that I like the figures, at the Kickstarter price
Not having done work on anything other than Noh so far, it's good to see that there's more to be done with the models than previously thought. I'll agree that, even the bulky Noh, are a pain to prep.
Good lord those look nice! Hopefully I can similarly use my full palette of fantasy paints on them. As you say though, the careful brushwork is presumably doing the work that sculpted detail should be, which isn't going to go so well with less-experienced painters.
I also really like the overall aesthetic look of Cerci, I just wish it wasn't so insanely booby. Or even just not as homogeneous. I suppose some of it could it be masked as skin-tight bodysuits, given the abundance of chokers/scarves.
GiraffeX wrote: Has anyone who's received their minis played the game yet?

I'm assuming the retail version wont have all the missing parts.
Just started playing this a few days ago. I bought the Shattered Sword Paladins starter box and it has been a blast.
Models look nice, but I especially love the gameplay. I like the pace of the game with all the movement and action. Imagine this scenario that happened earlier.
Typical skirmish type terrain with my Knight(Mallory) about to grab an objective in the middle and my opponent has a squad of mages up on the rafters across from me throwing spells at Mallory.
My solution?
I fly my Paragons (jump jet infantry) right in front of his mages to get into melee range. Then I use my Shield Bash, which I press(Some abilities have "Presses" that do additional effects if you pay more) to do more damage AND push them off the rafters killing 2 out of 3. (1 from the melee damage, the 2nd from him taking fall damage). Afterwards, I fly my guys away behind a wall nearby, so I am out of LOS from his mages.
The rulesets and character cards are actually posted on their website if you are interested. The game plays out like some over-the-top anime action sequence. Its really a lot of fun. The best part I liked about it, is that the starter sets by themselves has EVERYTHING. A 30ish point army, rules, character cards, tokens, dashboard(playmat), esper cards (resource).
Due to seeing the actual models at GenCon, my brother has emailed SodaPop asking for a refund.
All the actual production models are flat in detail and rely on the pro paintjobs given to them to look good. It was really disconcerting to see the resins in the front of the SP/ND booth that look fairly decent, and then see the actual models in the cases inside the booth, which are 10% smaller and lack any detail that wasn't painted on.
Soda Pop Miniatures - We were told shipping for EU and AsiaPAC has started, and have confirmed because we have backers showing off their things - As we are just coming back from Gencon, and so is CMoN, we will get a final tally on the progress for all regions

Other reports are coming in that the shipment has actually reached Germany and courier shipping to backers has started. No actual word from CMoN yet though.

And you won't see any update from CMON. Quote from the Last update on the KS page 4th August:
"If you are a backer outside of the US, Cool Mini or Not will continue to provide updates on the status of shipment."
And given this and the rest of the update, there will be no more updates on the KS page as only CMON as the Project Creator can update the KS page. As a UK backer myself I can confirm that I have yet to recieve anything, either physically or a shipping notification. I can confirm that Wayland, a UK retailer, does have physical stock as my mates have recieved shipping notifications from Wayland for stuf they have ordered from them.
So confirmed that Sodapop have broken their word as Retail have this before the people who provided the funding for the project nearly 2 ears ago.......... Yes, I am suffering from Nerd Rage.
Yes, haven't heard anything about shipping either (although am also in the UK).
Hey, at least take solace in the fact that the retail prices for these things are horrific, so the KS was the only way to own a decent amount of it! Apart from all of the models developed after the fact of course...
It's interesting on just how major the discrepancies in price ended up being too - 'Betty & Lug' and 'the Diamondback' were both $35 options (with a couple of bonus models each). The former retails for £17 (substantially cheaper than $35), the latter for £34.
Well it seems to be clear that the EU stuff has shown up in Germany and EU pledges are being sent
a couple of reported arrivals in Germany, and one in the Netherlands in the comments and second hand reports of others from twitter/facebook
However it seems that you may well not get any trakcing info until after stuff has arrived as CMON has to update/post that, and they can only do that after they are sent the info from the German shipper (which will at best be done at the end of each working day)
Plenty of reports of EU parcels getting delivered now. They are missing the Hells Belles torso and have the Valeria with the twisted foot so the extra delay wasn't used to resolve those issues.
I see Wayland games have the Dahon on preorder for £14.70 - cheaper than I was expecting given the size.
Has there been any word on fulfilling mispacks and such? I contacted Ross about five weeks ago, and he said they'd get right on it... I still haven't seen my torsos or gaming mat. I sent off an email last week, and haven't gotten a reply there either(checking both inbox and junk), but I suppose they could just be swamped right now.
I'm sure they're swamped (a fair few folk seem to imply they are sending daily emails),
Plus gencon (and the other cons they are going to) seem to involve the whole company getting in a big lorry and driving cross country
A few people have reported replacement bits (Valaria/Hells Belles) arriving so some of it is being done (at least in the US)
We've not seen any official presence on the forums for the last couple of weeks either which tend to reinforce the impression that they are run of their feet as they Deke especially does usually post (even if he doen't answer questions)
so long you should wait after you first email to try again I'm not sure (Depending on what's missing it could be they need to wait for China to do another production run, it all depends on what CMON actually managed to pass over
Anyone else hear that Soda Pop is basically redoing a lot of the sculpts?
I think they had some of the new sculpts at Gencon.
I really like the game in concept, but with anime stuff, getting the core sculpts looking good is problem enough since there's such little detail. You need to get those shapes perfect.
Haven't run across that particular rumor but are you sure the Gencon models aren't simply resin masters? Or old models that were done up before final tooling?
Suppose it's old hat now, but my package has also arrived. It looks like (irritatingly) there aren't enough base inserts for every model as was promised, but things otherwise seem to be in order.
They are *tiny* though! Really, really small. I'm not sure what I was expecting, but if they're asking £35 for the PVC Candy Rush, I thought it would have more...presence. The female character proportions have them being ~2mm at the waist in some cases.
And while the restic is better than some I've come across, important details like faces are extremely shallow (something I'd attribute to the CG modelling not factoring in the end material), and there is quite major 'slippage' between some mould halves. The Cosplay Iron Chef has the bottom half of his cigar about 0.5 mm displaced from the top, for example. Most of the models are low-detail enough that cleaning is relatively straightforward though.
I really, really think they've screwed up the retail pricing for this line - single characters being £10 is comparable to much larger £12-15 Studio Mcvey resins, and the detail just isn't there. I think it was a perfectly fine deal for the Kickstarter though, 2 year wait aside.
Got a chance to skim through my box and I have to admit to being pleasantly surprised.
Ok I have a couple of the facless ones in among my order but stuff like the big black diamond mecha and in fact most of the black diamond stuff is nice.
Apparently I've had my pledge delivered by DPD although it's nowhere to be seen, not with friends, neighbours or the depot. I'm happy to see movement even if its wrong,at least other folks are getting stuff which is a good sign. Let's hope SPM are more helpful than CMoN.
I think the biggest difference are in models 'clearly' designed for Restic, and others that were... not.
My Princess Mayla for example. Her robot is awesome. It looks great, was easy to clean, etc. But her body and face were not. It was clearly designed for very subtle detail only metal and resin can get you.
Meanwhile, Sophia Drake, a model that never was released in any form prior to Restic, looks great and is as clean or cleaner than any GW plastic kit I've seen.

This is good news - and you may have just 'solved' the Restic PVC problem here, and in doing so, made it easier for us to determine which figures to avoid?
And maybe there's hope for the future of the line, and maybe of this material?

This appears to be yet another variation of restic different to that I have seen in sed wars, wamahordes stuff or any of mantics mixes.
The few mold lines I have encountered scraped off easily, you can even file it if your carefull but best results were obtained with a sheet of high grit sandpaper.
I have to agree It would appear that any deficiency with the models is down to the sculpting process not the material.
For example I just checked out agent 7 who suffers from an overall appearance of soft detail, next box I opened was the Royal Wrecker which is a beautiful little model with nice detail on both the mech and pilot.
I still have boxes of stuff to sort through as I went in for 4 armies but I am seriously considering keeping it all now, where I had pretty much written this ks off to experience and was ready to sell the lot.
Also after reading the rules it actually sounds pretty fun.
I decided to go for it and have just ordered the Shattered Sword Paladins Battle Box from Wayland games, the game looks so different from anything else currently on the market it will make a pleasant change.
I'll need to pick up a second starter at some point, not sure which yet but the Doctrine Battle Box looks like it has an interesting selection of models.
GiraffeX wrote: I decided to go for it and have just ordered the Shattered Sword Paladins Battle Box from Wayland games, the game looks so different from anything else currently on the market it will make a pleasant change.
I think you will get what you are looking for from the game. "different from anything else" is certainly a good way to describe it. Take your time in the first few games because it shares so few common threads with other minis games you may get a little confused at times.
The shattered sword starter has some excellent models but they can take some time to assemble. Each of the five swordsworn is a unique sculpt without any interchangeable parts and four to seven parts each. The paragons also have two unique poses and several parts. Francis Mallory was one of the metal models that made a good transition to plastic but he blends in with the swordsworn a bit when unpainted.
Regarding the restic, it is certainly a bit better than Mantic's version. There is also a lot less warpage, so far I have only had to heat-bend one model. I was most impressed with Princess Malya's mech, where there are 3-4 parts between the foot and the hand, but they end up being perfectly aligned with the base with no bending needed.
I daresay the models are mostly just easier to clean up because they have less detail, though.
Any ideas on how to glue Mr. Tomn to his base? I'm tempted to just Greenstuff a rock to stick his toe in. There's just so little surface area to keep him attached to the base.

You should try the Shattered Sword starter. I had to make at least three "rock" for various ballerina poses. Seems Soda Pop don't always take into account that you actually have to mount these things to bases.

He really should have a peg! But I just put him on tiptoes as intended and so far my super glue is holding. If he breaks off, I'll pin him.
Next question: Darkspace Candy & Cola come with 2 bases, but rules wise they are obviously 1 model. Put both on the same base, or separate for display purposes and don't deploy Cola on the table at all?
I'm fairly certain that there was 1 missing torso per box of Belles. So however many packs you're supposed to have, that's how many torsos you should receive.
SPM are also replacing the miscast Prefect so you should be getting one of those if that was part of your pledge.
Helle's Bells were only missing 1 torso per box. So, if you kickstarted and had Cersei, that means you got 2 boxes. Thus, two torsos. A fairly easy thing to miss.
Now that I've put together and painted most of my Cersei, and started on BDs, here's the 'model quality' ratings I figure:
Cersei
Princess Mayla: Meh to OK. Her Robot is fine, but her head has lost all detail. Mr. Tomn has an issue where he's two peices that need greenstuff. Nasty mold line over Mayla's goggles needed a scrape.
Suicide Queen: Good. She has a bit of clean-up, but I didn't get any 'critical' mold lines.
Pacer: Good. Very little clean-up, logical design of model.
Rin Farrah: Good-to-OK. She's pretty great across the board except for the gun. Her model's design keeps a ton of detail. The gun barrel is even worse than in metal though. I ran a brass tube underneath to make it double barreled and to keep it straight.
Helles Belles: Bad. The torsos and heads are good, but they don't quite slot in right to both the bike grips and the foot-rests. There's some annoying mold lines in the rider's hair, which is a pain to clean but can be done. The bikes themselves have a ton of nasty mold lines that are a bitch to clean. I gave up and just relied on hugely bright annoyance colors to conceal that. The base mountings suck by default so I replaced them with brass rod.
Black Diamond:
One-Shot: Great. I owned the original Resin One-Shot (and will be using her), so I have good comparison. But they halved the number of parts, and made them look good! Even the rider has about as much detail as the metal version, so that's great. Fritz remains the coolest, if tiniest cipher.
Magnus: Great. Very little flash, and his model has a good design that makes sure none of those fiddly bits will ever fall off. Static looks good and has minimal clean up. Even Magnus's staff is solid.
M8 Auto-Tank: Meh. Requires heavy clean up and has some issues with how it's surface looks uneven. The treads are the worst, but the model is fine if you give it a cartoony paint job, as that makes the soft edges part of the look.
Diamond Corps: TERRIBLE. They have horrific mold lines across the sides of their bodies, which goes up and down between armor plates. My batch also had probably some poorer batch of the PVC material that had some warping, making clean up harder. Arms fitting into sockets was slightly annoying but not terrible. The heads don't have a socket connection, but rather a really dumb little nub-and-cavity setup that is nasty. I'll see how they come out painted, but they're not great.
Suspect 7: OK. Very managable mold lines, good design so you know how to put them together. They're clearly a later PVC batch, as their plastic seemed harder and easier to trim than the Diamond Corps. I had a flaw in one of my guys though: Her foot was completely missing from the ankle down. I sculpted a new foot really quickly from greenstuff, but that's why she's an OK instead of higher.
Sophia Drake: Amazing! She came out with a ton of detail and almost no clean-up. She fitted together just fine even dry-fit, and her head slots in perfectly into the suit. I'll post pics later, but she was very well cast. Clearly, a later batch.
Prismatics:
Candy and Cola: Great! She's like a fixed version of Mayla. All of her is just better. She fits on her robot, the robot fits together fine, there's minimal clean-up, her cypher is one piece... and she actually has a face that holds some detail.
Cordelia Clean: Meh! Her model makes so little sense in terms of how you put it together. I think I may have trimmed part of her arm a little, thinking it was flash. Her jetpack fits in, but it's super hard to understand where it goes. The gun looks nothing like the art, so I had to chop it up a bit with some other parts. But she's fairly easy to clean and has few mold lines at least.
Did buy her seperately, card was missing. Contacted them but no reply yet. Was just wondering if anyone had a copy of her stats/card so I could use it in a game tonight
Here's some test paints for my Black Diamond scheme. Still need to do a clean up and blend pass, but I think it works. I'm happy with Drake even with a cartoonier scheme though, since it fits the game's style. For the tank, it's WIP on a few details but it's not going to be able to sustain the love that your average infinity model can handle.
XCOM tank wins the thread! The only reason I bought Black Diamond at all was because the tank looks like it's from XCOM
I'm one of those people who just put together the bare minimum of miniatures and play them unpainted, so I'm getting the hang of the rules instead of fiddling with PVC. I have to say I quite like them and I'm going to go out on a limb here and just declare that RK has the best rules ever for handling units of multiple models. Really streamlined while still being meaningful. Seriously fantastic.
I got my missing Hell's Belles torsos in the other day, but no playmat. Getting irate, I started prowling the Relic Knights board and found this thread. The important bit(for me anyway) was this-
Deke wrote:Hey, hey my apologies for not being as active as I had been. Between getting the warehouse set up, the month long Gencon push, Super Dungeon Explore: Forgotten King and getting new employees up to speed we have been slammed. It's a confluence of awesome things that are happening all at once, and has us a bit breathless.
But you don't care about that, you care about progress! So here is the progress:
We have received all pledge items from CMoN except for Lithographs and the Mangas. However, CMoN has already shipped them to us and they should be arriving within a day or so.
We have hired an additional dedicated packer and an additional dedicated e-mail customer support person. I'm sure most of you who have contacted the rkbacker e-mail have already heard back from him as he is close to being caught up on that address.
We have sent out the missing Hell's Belles torsos and fixed Valerias to all US backers.
International backers:
-- If you only needed a fixed Valeria it has gone out. If you needed
-- Valeria and Hell's Belles torsos or just Hell's Belles torsos they are going out in a steady stream.
-- They are coming from the US so give them time to get to you.
All Hell's Belles and Valerias were sent out independant of any other missing items you may have. This was simply for logistics reasons. It does not mean we ignored or do not know about other missing items you may have contacted us about.
Now that we have all the product we need to start correcting mispacks and missing pledges, shipping for missing pledges, parts, and items began this week from SPM. We are shipping daily. I do not have a good sense of how long this will take yet. Every issue we receive is unique so we can't "assembly line" the process. We're also having to check against multiple e-mails often sent to multiple addresses and the backer records provided by CMoN. I know that's not your problem—but it does slow the process. We are working through as quickly as we can.
Our understanding is that most of the EU orders have been shipped. We were provided with a whole swath of tracking numbers for them. If you have not received a tracking number feel free to contact rkbacker@sodapopminiatures.com to see if we have received one for you. We are also checking to see if there are any orders that have not yet shipped, and will get their tracking information. Note that if you ordered a battlemat, it shipped separately from the rest of your pledge and will arrive in its own tube.
I will keep checking in weekly or relay info to Jestor and Hausdorf with new status updates so you all know the progress that is being made. We will make sure every last one of you have each and every item you pledged for, so we can all enjoy our games battling for the fate of the Last Galaxy!
I had gotten a refund for my pledge way way back and was happy to do so. However, a day or two ago I got a small packet from Ninja Division with a couple female bodies (I assume these are the Hell's Belles mentioned above).
Anyone want/need them? They'll be yours for postage (I am in the US) and feel bad just throwing them away. PM me if they'll be of use to any of you. I'll wait about a week before I chuck them.
We have finished fulfilling all of the US "late backer" pledges that had not been sent out.
We will have all unfulfilled, international "late backer" pledges done tomorrow.
Hell's Belles torsos and Valeria foot fixes will be also be finished tomorrow.
Wednesday we will begin fulfilling all missing parts, missing items, and damaged products.
Yes, I already said. It's a very different game and needs a completely different approach to anything else I've ever played, but I've been enjoying it so far.
I especially like the mission system, they have achieved a great variety of possible scenarios through different combinations of a fairly small number of distinct objectives.
Protip: Don't be afraid to forfeit a model's activation to do the "hand management" action (Refocus, I think?)
Has anyone received any missings items(besides the Belles and Valeria) yet? I'm still waiting on my battlemat, and I was curious if they've gotten to the stage of shipping those things yet.
Automatically Appended Next Post: Has anyone received any missings items(besides the Belles and Valeria) yet? I'm still waiting on my battlemat, and I was curious if they've gotten to the stage of shipping those things yet.
Is there a deadline for reporting missing bitz? I'm missing Darkspace Gabe's arms but I haven't even gone through all the piles of PVC yet and I'd rather not have to make a second request later if I find anything else missing.
Dark Severance wrote: How long ago did you report the missing items? I was told they were shipping out soon on Sept 12 and still haven't received them.
Reported it at the start of August. It's been awhile.
