yep verdigris is cool , and the red/ pink looks like the sun is setting on the cathedral, giant object light source

I think the color is close, but the areas shaded dont look quite right. Yours seems to be the worn areas that become red, which might make sense on a red planet or around metal processing plants, while the RL image seems to be a red stone, with places like the statues and arches grey.

Not enough detail on yours. YOu need to add some of those minaret-- oh, wait, you mean the paint? Yeah, that's good.

Yeah, it is still going to get one more drybrush of medium tone gray. I make use weathering powders for a deeper red As much as I want to like it , it looks like faded pink Oh well that is why we have spray paint

I think the base colours need to be the pinkish sandstone with the grey overbrush, so other way round to yours...

Toned down the red/pink

Better. Now it just has a hint of red in it, and is much less pink.

I love the colour !

As for the interior maybe something like this the red look is created by the lights.

Or maybe leave it grey like most cathedrals and have red banners running down the centre to give it some colour and more character ?

I like the banner idea, gives it more color and some extra depth.

By all means finish the dread up. I really liked the way he was looking when you last showed him. Amazing what a different scheme can do to make it look nothing like BA, and I think the raptors suit your paint style very well. My board got delayed as about 90% of my free time is going to my very last class for my degree.

Wow. Truly inspirational work, love the weathering. I wondered if you might have painted the bird as alive, perching on statue (with obligatory poo!) though the Emprah might object, I suspect.

Nice work, dude. I would have some stones be more red than others, and also have some charcoal-colored stones on there.

The drybrushing looks great, and so does the statue!

Wow, I'm loving the paintjob! I agree that the red looks a lot better now you've toned it down a bit.

I tried (and failed) looking for a picture of the red banners that you see on the buildings from time to time in the older Dawn of War games (Dark Crusade I think), I think something like that would be fantastic for the inside.

I like the grey with the red banners as it look more martial.
The contrast of grey vs color brings the focus to the color. If the banners are of the same colors as your Space Marines, the focus will really be on the Marines.

I rather liked the initial pinky grey.

The toned down greyy pink also looks good.

I'm with Paranoia_Agent the banner idea is good.

While I don't disagree , if I put multiple banners in the building they will have to mounted flat against the wall instead of jetting out on a pole.
The playing space inside would be mute if I did more then one or two

Anyway SilverMK2 had a great idea I love the banner idea and would love to show off your chapters in my latest building. So those of you who are good with photo shop or any other creator software, whip me up a banner and I will proudly display it in the Capitol Building

Here's a banner I made for DA. Unfortunately, I only have GIMP at work, so that's about the best I can do. I think printed pretty small it will look good. Lemme know if there is anything you need changed.
