I have to say Im totally surprised. I was a HUGE fan of TF2, and playing it on PS3 was just terrible. Id read that PC/360 owners would get updates and patches and fixes, and NEVER did the PS3 owners get that. Left a bad taste in my mouth for awhile, but wow, we got it before the 360 owners? Colored me surprised

But yea, the matches take awhile, so make sure youve got enough time to play. And its just insanity wrapped up on screen

fail...

Prior to the release of the Xbox 360 version of the Exterminatus DLC it came to our attention that there was a connectivity issue that needed to be fixed. We have taken the difficult decision to delay the title update and DLC release to repair this issue and ensure that the mode is functioning as intended when we release it. We will share a projected live date for this content on the Space Marine community site as soon as possible. http://www.spacemarine.com/forums/topic/8268

Well, having played it with a friend, I must say because of the difficulty they made it somewhat enjoyable for me. We've played it a couple times and we always lose at the point where you have to capture an objective.

Yep.

They could have told us this yesterday and I'd have been fine with that.

Instead, they shifted the blame, acted like nothing was wrong, and attempted to make it seem like this was something beyond their control.

Great Public Relations, guys. You out GW'd GW.

Same problem with us. My two friends and I can make it to the third arena, but when the shield orks and nobz start swarming, we just can't manage to stay alive on the point long enough. They really made objectives insanely difficult to capture.

I could always manage the first couple point captures, but whenever you have to capture multiple points is when it becomes a problem.

I actually find ammo kind of kills the game mode. By some irony, it seems that killing enemies with melee attacks produces more ammo than shooting them... which is just backwards. As a devastator I'm constantly running out of ammo while my assault marine has less need of bullets but gets them in droves.

Swordman's zeal by the way, totally awesomesauce

It's like I'm freakin' Nostradamus up in here.

I'm very amused by the fact that the forums over at THQ are all ablaze with "GOD MICROSOFT!" hate, when it's pretty clear that this is THQ fumbling the ball...and then kicking it to the other team to recover.

So, that's why on Monday they were "surprised that it wasn't on Xbox Live yet"--despite the fact that it would have had to have gone through the DLC processing at least two weeks prior.

Huh. Fascinating.

I just call them FlashGits, yea those guys are fething NUTS! I cant believe how fast they can drain your health! I seem to do fairly well. I was in a group last night, and we ALMOST beat the 3 stage together. We got to the last wave and just could NOT pull it off. Dear god the insanity of this expansion

Im doing tons better with my tactical though, stormbolter + melta + 4 grenades does awesome for me. I can tell ya, meltas are very much needed for those damn shielded boyz. Good god those things can take a beating

The shield guy is my biggest pain...

I find playing an assault marine most of my game is spent ground pounding ontop of my teams Dev to get guys off him, I do like the fact it's so difficult though. I am glad the XP transfers over, I wish they would have added some more armor unlocks for Exterminatus challenges but that's just me being greedy.

I do get some weird lag issues, where I click the mouse and my guy just stands like he failed a really stupid roll....

It's one of the few times PS3 got a DLC before 360...most of the time I'm jealous of 360 lol

The problem is that Sony has far, far, far less stringent standards on DLC before they put it up.

No wonder you guys are having to deal with all the glitchiness.

We made it entirely to the very very last wave-- even only had five...

Spoiler:
chaos champions on the secret 21st wave

... but then we al died and couldn't kill those last enemies :\

Ya no kidding. Sometimes Ill be blasting away on one, and think to myself, am I actually doing anything to him? Oh well that doesnt matter, because here comes 2 more

Im super glad that this one gets SO hard though. I mean, it feels like it was made to just beat you, plain and simple, but you know if you keep pushing, you just might make it. I LOVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! having that feeling in games like this. And best part is, if I get sick of dying off, I can switch over to p2p or the actual game and slow the pace down a smidge

I think wave 21 is just this never ending wave that goes on until your team is out of lives. We just kept going and going and it never ended. *cries* It never ended! It could just be really long though...

Long as in...

Spoiler:
... by the time we got to the last five champions we were joking taht we'd killed enough chaos marines to win the Horus Heresy and prevent Horus from killing the Emperor. We killed more chaos marines than you'll see outside of a stupidly sized apocalypse army-- hundreds probably, and that's not counting the waves and waves of bloodletters. AT one point we faced off against no less than eight Chaos Marines with heavy bolters all spawning at once, half on each side of the map. Then there were the tons and tons of maul wielding chaos champions that chased us around...

We managed it. Our group at the time was one dev with plasma cannon, two assaults with hammers, and one assault with axe.

But half the team was dead with no extra lives by the time we had only five

I'm literally angry with rage that 360 doesn't have this yet.

Also, the stupidly sized Apoc Chaos army?

I've fielded it twice in the past year.

Technically they're called Shoota Nobs, but their shootas are so much better, they may as well be Flashgitz.

There's many kinds of shooty orks.

Shootaboyz, rokkit boyz ('ard boyz with rokkit launchas), shoota nobs (nobs with very big and nasty shootas), and big shoota nobs (heavily armored nobs with multi-rokkit launchas like the kommando nob from DoW2).

Then five choppy orks... sluggaboyz, scarboyz (armor and chainchoppas), 'ardboyz (with shield), nobz, and big nobz (with heavy armor and a better big choppa).

At least to my memory.
