Great work man, they're looking really neat
As far as the bases go, I much prefer the set in the second picture. Do they have more variety or is it just those 10 designs? My concern would be that it might look a bit repetative if you just have those 10 over and over and over again.

Four chimeras down one to go I am thinking of doing something like this do for the last one.

Ya know, I have 2 unopened Chimera kits, one old-style (useless road wheel spacers), and one new-style. But you know what, I like the fatter side armor plates on the old kit, although IMHO the sprue layout of the new Chimera makes better sense. I wonder why they took away the fat sides?

No command chimera , my command squad will probably stay back or be given the Valkyrie. A scout one sounds fun. Campaign netting would be pretty sweet

Won't know if you don't try I guess? Was just throwing it out there really. I've picked up some of there stuff, and haven't been dissapointed by it, with the exception of maybe the hammer.

I like the idea but sometimes when I see completed version s of it the proportions look off

Yeah, apparently CH got the proportions slightly wrong for the new chimera, it does fit but needs a fair bit of work.

Baneblade is the next one to hit the painting table. After chimera five of course

I couldn't resist! After looking for ideas I had a sudden spark of inspiration. In the game this is obviously not a punisher cannon. Lots of green stuff work to do but I really like it

Yeah, I was lucky to stumble across that guys blog! It is harder to cut that front part off then it appears. The angle has to line up almost perfect for the look to be right. TAKE YOUR TIME!

I need a set of chimera track guards, anyone want to sell or trade for a set?

Oooh I have several sets of track guards, at least one still on the sprue. When they first came out I loved them, then as time went along I decided I liked to see the Chimera tracks. PM me d00d, I'll trade.

it's looking good so far, my only thing is i think that the stubber looks out of place, i think the tank would be better without it, maybie have a cool looking boltgun there instead

i have faith dont you worry! Stuff like that dosent come together sometimes till after completion, and always a camera cannot get what an eye view can!

I think you could put a stubber on top of anything and make it look cool. Stubber=40k fashion statement! Bling!

dont get me wrong it is a nice looking gun, i was just worried that it wouldnt look right on the smaller chasis

as i thought, you proved me wrong sir!

That gun conversion is one of the reasons why I don't like the overwhelming vanilla flavor of 5th Ed. I remember a day when you could build something like that and actually use it w/ RAW stats.

*sigh*
