Thanks but the question still stands, when you update the rules are you going to write an article so the rest of us can play with your rules? Cause I really want to make a gang for myself but I would like to see the rules before making models willy nilly.

Rules questions should be directed to THIS thread.

Then you fail to see the true beauty of this idea - which is to do models willy nilly killy hilly and then come up with rules to match

See also our Jade Vessel thread for throrough discussion also of the rules etc.

Once we start with the new rules, we will share them of course.

Just a little sitrep. It's been a little silent for a while - some dark clouds gathering around our "Broodheim" Campaign. Lots of people gone MIA and the two GMs don't seem to talk to each other about the campaign schedule and rules situation - which is all a real bummer as the Legion is itching to play, to get inspired from gaming and to draft more operators

I should no more soonish. AFAIK, we are still meant to begin in February. When/if we do, I will do a full war diary with pics from battles.

Due to tight schedules of some of our players, my needing more time to build stuff and our needing to finish Jade Vessel campaign first, the Broodmunda campaign is now scheduled to the early march start slot.
Alpharius and co. will get their chance to kill some hybrids.

I have the results of the last chamber: You are a horrible person.

Nothing exciting yet - just proof that I am working on a new Shaddes offe Greye mutant and the "door" thing for Legion Both WIP and getting a lot of details next. The mutie will be about having fun with rust and wear and tear effects, which I intend to really play with come painting.

The door is getting a lot of details on the inside too, alarm systems and small narrative touches that are great fun to do and think. I'm going to try and really capture the material feels and different textures in painting with this one.

Cool stuff as always mate. I've been looking at the new Ork kits to try and identify cool parts worth having handy, seems you've found some already!

The door is looking cool already, really looking forward to seeing the finished article!

Not much news on the legion, the campaign start looks to be postponed due to moodswinging GM @ Hammer

, other than possibly an ally that is.

My little brother has started working his "gang" for Hammer's campaign. It is basically a cloaked star strider expedition and I will show you his process here as we will be painting our stuff together mostly.

the list will be.

a. Ambitious and young warlock leader.
b. 5 Pahtfinders, the fluffiest unit for this sort of thing
c. A striking scorpion. The Craftworld, ahem, insurance for this young and travelling lot.

So 7 models. No heavies, but then fairly expert marksmen and from the War Mongering Biel Tan.

The squad is almost ready for priming. "petsula" had his first stab at GS work today. He's such a fast learner I must say and has a strong opinion and an idea for the end result. He want lighter, more subdued green Biel Tan, and "Dust capes". He will be painting on white for the first time too. "Because I like the challenge". My man.

Sounds good. Eldar pathfinders are excellent for this type of work as well, an lots of opportunities for modeling in the WH+40K plastic kits these days too.

Will be interesting to see what he makes of them.

Sad to hear that your campaign is looking shaky... Feel free to drop by our campaign if you get bored

The beginnings of my little Brother's gang, ready for priming. His first metal mini conversion and his own idea. Quite neat, I almost feel like he could've done a few more shuricat swaps, like a sniper + firesupport team, but he intends to be more experimental with the farseer and aspect.

He also designed a color scheme today and we wrote all the shades down and are painting this weekend.

You know what migsula? After seeing your upscaled Alpha Legion marine, I now have to make a similar upscaled Cypher for my warband. And since I made a vow of nt using termie legs I'll have to sculpt him.

And it's all your fault.

Some bad news on the campaign. I've decided not to take part, even if there was a campaign by our two GMs, which I really really doubt. It's been months of getting people excited, then disappearing and or totally changing focus on other projects and letting this hang with no news. This happens every month. The rules are another joke, we've been waiting for the supposed finished rules document for circa 3 months and now the GM in charge of the rules has disappeared all together. And the two GMs, who see like daily never have a clue what the other one intends and when. True Chaos Agent's I suppose

So now I'm thinking about other options with friends and my brother. A few of us are totally committed and excited about this, so we will find away. If by some miracle the original GMs get their gak together, and still have us join the campaign, who knows, but I'm 90% sure it's all talk and no walk.

Thats a shame about the campaign mate but I hope you don't let others' lack of focus detract from your own modelling works.

I'm still waiting on close ups of the 2 newest members!

Really stinks that the campaign has seemed to wither and die on the back burner.

The inspiration is still there though, and hopefully you can pull from it still as you move forward with this project. I would definitely see what you guys can do instead with your warbands. It would be a complete shame for such awesome projects to never see the tabletop.

Best of luck getting it all straightened out!

I think this is a really sensible approach. Gamers can be very flakey- no sense sitting on your hands when you could be having fun!

Thanks for the comments and support lads!

Close ups are in order, you're right - even the water effect is now finished. I also need to take a group pic of the legion and the "shaddes offe gerye" together to share my nearly one year's worth of =I=munda modeling

Please do. Would be great to get some close ups, as well as a "family photo"

If it makes you feel any better, our campaign is in total sleep status till this summer, due to players actually being in three different countries at the moment.... So you´re not the only one who gets way too little gaming done :S

Wow, I haven't read this thread in ages!

You really made some good progress on the gang, Migs! I especially like the explosions expert, I like what you did with the cloak!
It's good to see your brother is getting involved in =I=munda as well! His gang is looking pretty sweet, looking forward to see how he's going to paint everything!

Cheers!
