Maybe it's my computer, but all the pics are broken on this thread now... :(

I'll check when I get home, but I wanted to say something in case it isn't this computer.

I'm anxious to see you GD work.

I hear you on ork plastic - now every truck looks the same, and a "cool ork conversion" is sticking a couple of bitz on the stock model. Propa' ork trucks are toys with plasticard on them! Time was, every battlewagon was unique. Now they bore me. Keep the faith though - your ork stuff is great.

Not all of us Orks believe in identical Trukks (Haven't got to battlewagons yet though...)

Oh, and this is one of the few non Ork threads I follow due to the inspiring work - keep it up!

I second this!

And it most have been the computer, cause all the pics are working now. The rough rider rat looks great. I like the new smoke better, too. Amazing work, keep it up.

Thank you.

I'll post more pics of vehicles soon - almost done with 2 more chimeras, a banewolf, and have PIP commissar chimera and another wolfy. Don't worry, they're look more like IG vehicles than the command car ^^

That has to be the smallest diorama I've ever seen... It's really cool though. I like it.

Really cool! Any army project made from the back of the 4th Ed Guard Codex, that doesn't have a model range, is always great.

I am in awe of this thread.

First you have totally captured the grimdark nastyness of the salvar lads.

Everything you have shown so far oozes character.

Very nice work.

Love the diorama, you very rarely see the real civillians of the dark millenium. It has real character, showing the human side of the space marines

The WIP chimeras look really cool too

I like that diorama. Though I think two things would have made it better. Actual Scaling the marine and having a smaller book. The impact of the diorama's situation is severely damaged by how the Space Marine's own impact is reduced by the sizes. Having a larger marine and a smaller book would increase the contrast between Super Human and child.

On another note; where did the model for the child come from?

First of all. As I said, this is my friend's diorama. I told him of this thread and here's what he has to say.

What gave me the idea of creating this diorama... Honestly? Weeping romantic sentimentalism. When my friend suggested that he wanted what I would do a diorama on the contest for him, that he would be able to paint, I said that it must be original, and what could be more original than the sentimentalism in the universe where every second character totally bad ass. I have considered that compared to Ultramarines overcoming hordes of enemies, little girl and Salamander will look original and interesting. The contrast with all this vanity crap.
Or am I just was longing for light, pure senses in the universe, where the developers say thet don't have a place.
The diorama scenario was taken from my first Warhammer fan fiction piece, about a refugee camp and salamanders that guard it. Nothing more, just pure human emotions. And I guess ... I did not suspect that will be the buzz around such trifles.
My deep-deep gratitude to all!
Cheers
Zellari

P.S. The book is marine size. They have huge tomes.

Nice to hear the origin of this nice diorama...

Thanks!! And congratulations to your friend!! A bit of sentimentalism can't hurt, when "there's only war" around...

Some painted rank&file scum.
There are some minor bugs (like teeth of flamer guy unpainted, or red-panted guy's eye messy) but it'll be fixed

And a side project. A friend convinced me to play some Kill Team, so here is a Brute Boss (I'll use him in my main army though too, possibly as a sarge) and two of eldar pirate kill team.
Still not decided what to put in eldar left hands. As guardians or DE wariors have no ccws.

Guardian Storms have a chain sword (and pistol), they also get plasma pistols as upgrades.

Cool new models, the rank look cool, and I'm excited to see some more eldar conversions. That mutant boss guy looks pretty tough.

Also, tell your friend that the diorama is amazing! I have always liked the quieter side of 40K, even if it's just in between bolter magazines. Good luck on the win with that one!

Great work so far, I applaud you, I'm completely in love with your chem dogs, and you have truly done them justice. Now, after seeing all the awesome that's in this thread, and I came up with an idea that I would present to you if I dare be so bold; I would hope that you have seen the Riddick movies, especially the 3rd one (with the Necromongers), and I think that Riddick would be a great Marbo (I havn't seen one yet), and also a hellhound from the same Riddick movie would be a really kicka** addition to this army.

3 riddick movies?
I've only heard if two. (Pitch Black and The Cronicles of Riddick)
