I'd personally go with rig # 1

Well, the one with all the pouches is cheaper.... Isn't that a good sign?

If you want to be cool, you could get a metal gear solid vest

There's lots of videos of it on youtube. The only complaint I've heard is that you can't remove the front ammo pouches

And I totally see that BBL. It's a lot more fun to deck out your stuff personally. Besides, that's a great price

I feel like the molle rig will be a better purchase in the long run, but to buy all the pouches etc will be alot more money than an already full equipped rig.

However, airsoft gi has a free shipping on orders over $100 (or else its like 17 bucks shipping)
If I load up a cart with all the pouches and mags I'll need, and the rig, it should be at least 100

Evike also has a 19% off coupon right now (at least they did), so you might save some money if you buy from them.

New, real wood version 1892 on evike, for only $200, really cheap considering the original price of $185...They also added a $170 version that doesn't seem any different from the original...

200 for real wood? I'd take that, if for no other reason than the way wood feels in your hand over plastic. They can get a little funky after a while, and maybe even warp, but I wouldn't worry too much about it.

I want a wood m16

Yes! Get's a little too close to looking like an AK, but I think it adds a bit of class :3

It's the service rifle from Fallout:NV if you didn't know that already. Always wondered what that would be like on a real gun.

Ugh. May have to seriously look into getting a new AEG...or a better speedloader at any rate. P90 mags are an absolute pain to load.

Of course, even if there's not enough time to reload in between games, bringing multiple mags and/or weapons solves that issue

Looking for something of similar look, size, quality and price in the UK, any help would be appreciated. Only Shotguns like that I can find here are £100's.

Also, anyone know about buying Airsoft weapons from abroad and getting them delivered to the UK, the UKARA seem a bit wooly on it.

Thanks,

If I get some form of molle rig, what should I get other than mag pouches?

Battle Brother Lucifer wrote:If I get some form of molle rig, what should I get other than mag pouches?

Well, personally, I like a phone pocket. Somewhere solid where it'll never fall off. Mag pouches of course. Maybe a speedloader pocket, which might just be considered a 'pistol magazine' holder, or something. A canteen sleeve/ bag/pocket, because everyone gets tjhirsty

Also, look into mag dump pouches/bags. They're for tossing spent magazines into after reloads, and they usually attach to a belt or the back of your vest. If you have a knife or a dummy knife (LOL), you might want to invest in a sheath that can attach to molle (or anything). I use a Kydex sheath for my kabar.

Aside from that, there isn't much you need. I don't understand why people buy these gigantic vests if they're only going to use the mag pouches My vest has four mag pouches, and I fill up my pistol belt with Surplus pouches just for looks. I have all the space I need.

..Wha--what. That's amazing! Was it to avoid copyright or was it just for cool points?

Found a real one! You can buy conversion kits for these things, although I'd be scared to fire the gun with a wood handguard

next question, I dont know if I should get black for my rig as it will stand out a ton

this is what my camo looks like

suggestions on color for rig/pouches?

I was thinking tan or multicam, but I dont know what would look good

Well. Ideally, tan would look good. Black would be too contrast-y. If you can afford it, go for multi-cam.

I decided to 'go big or go home'

Buying a multicam BDU as well as a multicam rig and multicam pouches

Good choice. Multicam is like the new woodland. I'm a fan of it myself, but I'm not a fan of any modern gear. If only they could put multi-cam on LBVs, m1 helmets and rucksacks

You could go for A-tacs, it is more expensive than most patterns though...

Also, some of the original AR-15 test models were real wood.

I'm with the Army Cadets over here in England (Caistor platoon/detachment in Lincolnshire) and I'd love to get into this. I have pretty much most of the gear besides a rifle... Any advice?

Aye, multi-cam is brilliant stuff. Not so readily available here in the UK, mind.

I was thinking 3 (or 4) double open-top mag pouches, an admin pouch, and two utility pouches
Possible a large/ (or tall) utility or emt bag, and probably just that.

Anything I should add?

Nope, although I'd still consider a dump pouch. There have been times where I'd have loved to have one.
