Looks like a pretty cool kit to me.

Second that, actually. I like it. Looks bad ass. Look at those mean looking weapons it's wielding and how tall it is. Frightening. A marine with ass to kick I think.

The DK reminds me of the things used by the humans in Matrix. Especially the one with two guns on the arms, it even has the servo-armatures over the shoulders like them. (needs a guy wheeling an ammo cart full of re-load crates)

- PAGK and GKT look good.
- Dreadknight
- Draigo. So he is a basically a generic guy in Terminator armour armed w a shield & sword. Something you can convert in 10 minutes from your leftover plastic bitz.

Just noticed something. The dreadknights built by GW have the arms of the dreadknight matched with the arms of the guy controlling it, as if controlling it by his own movements.
+1 for attention to detail GW.

I'm liking the terminator kit, plenty of parts. I count 5 swords, 5 halberds, 5 pairs of falchions, one hammer and stave and one of each heavy/special weapon.

also PA kit comes with two psycannons and one psylencer/incinerator.

I have to say this release earns an overall "meh" from me. The PAGK look to have a good variety of poses but the psycannon looks weak-- a shame, since the rules mean we'll probably be seeing quite a few of them. The jump/teleport packs included for the Interdiction squad or whatever are also atrocious, they look like WHFB Skaven tech. The Terminator models' neck area looks really weird, the gap there is too overt. They also have a nice variety of equipment, though the dual swords look pretty dumb IMO and the warding staff could do with a more dramatic pose-- I was hoping for more of a Njal vibe. Most of the heads on both look weird except from certain angles.

The Dreadknight is weird. The hammer looks too small (first time anyone's ever said that about a GW model), but the model as a whole is honestly a lot better than I expected, and the fact that it's in plastic means that there's potential for some nice dramatic poses there to boot.

Draigo is completely out of the park, however. Probably one of the best character models GW currently produces-- up there with the Terminator Librarian and Chaplain-- and the head options make it even better.

Looked at the prices.

No. Just no.

I think this is probably the first GW release in a long time where I won't be buying anything, not even the codex.

EXACTLY!

Something seems 'wrong' with the PAGK, and I think those two things in particular are the biggest 'offenders'.

Definitely agree on Draigo, but I disagree on almost everything else. I love the double sword thing, even.

Aye, the stormbolters seem a tad to big, the sickle magazines don't help in that regard.

But looking at the sprues, it looks like the magazines are seperate. Can't see the side of the stormbolters were the magazines are supposed to go though, so don't know how smooth they are.

On that note, I agree that having the Marine hanging their doesn't look that impressive....but I expect to see lots of kickass conversions based off of that kit. And to be honest...it's not giving me the 'HAHAHAHA ARE YOU SERIOUS?!' vibe that the CHibi-Hawk gave me, and even the Chibi-Hawk started to grow on me after a while...

That being said, Draigo looks friggin awesome....alas for his price tag though. 13.80 quid for one model.....

Before anyone starts crying "OMG GW ONLY CAERS BOUT MY MONEY I QWIT FOREVER"

The new codex is $29 for 96 pages.
The old codex was $20 for 66 pages.

This is literally EXACTLY THE SAME PER PAGE. 3.3 page per dollar.
If anything, rejoice as the book has had no relative inflation.

Power Armor GK went down in price (oh yeah, now you remember that heavy weapons cost money).
Terminator armor GK went down in price.
You also get them in plastic with a half dozen weapons options for every model. And shoulder pad options. And heads. And poses. And the list goes on.

What did you expect, a happy end with every order?

Have to agree that the guns look just too big on the wrists and the dreadknight looks a bit silly. Although rather than a knight titan conversion, with some streamlining it could make a rather cool Eldar titan.

Also, what is with the bigh handles on the backpacks of some of the PAGK's? Are they for daemons to grab hold of while attempting to make sweet love to the GK inside the armour?

Lord_Astaroth wrote:Draigo looks very nice. Not $22.25 nice though. Also, I'd have to say that though I like the Dreadknight, I think it would look better without the GK on board. From the close-ups on the sprue, it looks like this could be converted quite easily. Take the front of the plastic Venerable Dread, and stick the GK helmet in that, and you are in business.

$37 in Australia, but that's a damn side better pricing than the $25 Beast Master next to him.
