I always thought you just ran them through your hair. How many different ways can you do that

Gits - Well there's a blob of putty there so I could attach the tentacles to something It will be just a ball of squirmy things when done though.

graven - Not sure if it's got ears? It can certainly sense you, not sure if it's technically hearing though.

OK, so I always felt if you had a lot of different style projects it was better to seperate them somewhat - I don't expect many peeps with no interest in orks regularly keep an eye on this one for instance - and there is a lot of JD stuff incoming - I went Council of Judge level on my pledge, which was something like 20 starter boxes, a whole bunch of special characters and a couple of pat-wagons, along with the bits I've picked up, plus there'll be the conversions and terrain - It'll get awful cramped in here

What's the general consensus out there folks? I kinda prefer the seperate blog idea myself, as I think that generates more interest in each project, but what do you lot think?
I know a lot of you like a mixture of stuff, but not everyone does, and if you're coming here for orky goodness and constantly seeing CSM and Judges are you going to let it drift out of your perception?

I also think it makes it easier to find stuff - and as I am experimenting with different styles for several of my projects it kind of keeps them seperate in my head, if that makes any sense (probably about as much as anything in here does )

I know it seems like I'm pushing for discrete threads here, and to an extent I am, but I am interested to hear other's views on this point....

I can only picture a pair of incredible hulk legs with this ball of tentacles for a top, running through terrain like it's nobodies business

I have no issue with separate blogs for separate projects - in fact - I think I agree with you. I usually follow threads for a given topic and/or a given author, so worst case I end up following multiple blogs of a single person - a small price to pay IMHO

Awesome - That was a tempting idea for a pic, but I couldn't get the support out, so no go this time...

Brian - Sorry about that old bean, I thought it was rather cute myself. All it wants is a cuddle...

Arakasi - Good man.

And that means I'm not alone either, good

I see both sides, but when the projects are quite extended I prefer the split blogs. Having said that, there's a couple of chaosy bits below - but I think they're reaching a suitable mass to move back to their proper home after this...

weety - Well I believe I mentioned something a ways back about wanting to give Da Judj a companion on a bike - I think we have a potential winner right there

Don't worry, updates and new threads will always be mentioned here, this is most definitely the main blog

ldd - Good lord, I think he's been smoking the grass, rather than cutting it

dstein - But what a bicycle

weety - He is...

dstein - He does...

weety - Why thank you, but that's not a...Oh, that fella, sorry

Anvil -True dat.

Okey dokey, pig in a pokey..

There will be some greenskin goodness over the weekend - I don't know what yet, but I will ensure there is progress on something - or I start something new, or....

In the mean time I have a base for the chaos dude with the floaty ball pack....

So something like that, I'm feeling a rusty, grimy thing going on with the base - but that's probably no surprise

And warning, incoming tentacles:

Primed and ready for colour - not decided yet on whether to go down the wash route, or actual paint...or indeed a colour scheme.
And thinking it might go on a base with a few tentacles reaching up towards it from whatever chaotic area it's floating over....

Back later....

Sorry Monkey But my Granddad tried so hard to build that big JD fan.

The base is pretty cool I like the look and step level to it

That tentacle ball is ace I want one even though I have no use for it what colour pink, purple or even fleshy

It needs to go on a base made to look like an open mouth, with a giant tongue reaching up to lick it.

I would be so excited if you brought back your other threads - absolutely loved the mutants in the chaos one.

That tentacle mass is disturbing, Monkey - can almost see it writhing. Ace job! Hope there's some gloss in the paintscheme plan...

KC - Excellent

ldd - I can imagine he tried to build an iso-cube for you

Cheers, I do like multi-level bases.

No pink on this one, but there's a bit of purple and a bit of fleshy

Brian - Excellent idea - I enjoyed this one so much I plan to do some more, and the tongue is going to hit one of them Need to work on my GS-fu to pull off a good mouth though...

Scarp - Well, there'll be mutants in Dredd too I feel there's enough going on to warrant re-opening the lost and damned thread, probably tomorrow

Good to hear! Plenty of gloss

weety - Unless perhaps it was an army of cyborgs Or perhaps two armies of mutants. Or an army of cyborg mutants. Or two armies of cyborg mutants fightin' and stuff! Yeaaaaahhhh!!!

Nevertheless, a fine sentiment

So, snuck in a little detailing on the klegg

And re-attached his arm after he made a break for it whilst being transported for priming. Unfortunately jetpack was out of fuel.

And on to da Boyz:

Early PIP, so looks bloody horrible, but look, it's progress, and it's an ork
Going for denim dungarees, much lighter and faded than the base blue.

He had some red on when I started, but still, more progress.

And finished up detailing a couple of other loiterers who were hanging around da surjary.

And just noticed I didn't round off the lenses

Been in da surjary so long dat da Dok used his bitz on some ovah gits innit?

But he's better off for it. Originally planned as a shoota I hadn't liked the couple of options I tried for his gun hand, and then realised that just having one arm is no reason not to have a choppa and a slugga - the can go on the same arm I'll admit the choppa in this case is perhaps a little small - but considering what else is going on with some of these guys I'm not that bothered.

Punk head from Kromlech, gun hand from Anvil, ammo from Zinge

Both have been primed, along with the big mek based on the AOBR warboss, he just needed some minor filling and detailing.

Tentiball has been finished, I'll get some shots in the light box tomorrow, and post 'em in the chaos thread, but here's a quick preview for the faithful...

Too blue in the pics, there's more purple in there which will hopefully show in the beauty shots..

Ohhh Youve been super busy since I last popped in here.
Im really liking the turbine on the shoota boy. I many try to replicate that on my fightas (if I figure out where I packed em! >< )
The tenti-ball looks awesomely chaotic, and the base is almost exactly what I imagined when I saw the WIP earlier!

On a side note, hows the Zinge ammo in holding its shape? Do you need to heat it? How stable is the shape?

i totally like the tentacle ball... the sculpt and the posing is awesome and creepy at the same time... where it goes a bit down hill tho is due to the painting... reminds me of a can of worms... and not in a good way... too bright too... sadly... but the flying base was again a good choice!

the rest of your most recent updates... wow... very good looking and way too much to comment on individually for me now
