Subject: Me Orkz Blog:Scratchbuilt everything. From landsub to weirdboy and more. Also a mutated freak stompa
Man, what a way to re-join the forums here! After what seems like almost a year of no posting, I'm glad to have caught up on this thread. That stompa is so epic that I think I have to purchase me one of those desiccator figures (a mere $25!) with your blessing, of course, sir Sauce of Awesome.
Glad to see you back Sentinel! Thanks for the compliments Dude I actually just used your thread, particularly the pics of your lifta droppa as inspiration for my stompa I was wondering what happened to ya. Hells yeah you can loot away. It's a pretty awesome figure, it really doesn't get much better for a giant ork. And whatever parts you pull off him and don't use for a stompa can easily be used elsewhere in an ork army.
Thanks 'Sauce! College suddenly took over my free time (go figure) but I hope to get some good progress started over the next few weeks! In fact, I finally got around to slapping some paint on the burna wagon.
Glad you found my work inspirin'! It's official... we're mutual looters.

So I finally got my power back, a solid two weeks after the hurricane hit. I suppose I can't really complain though... while that certainly did suck, luckily there wasn't any damage to my house, and it's very unfortunate that a lot of people are still a lot worse off than in my area...
As for the hobby, I was still able to finish off my boomwagon during daylight hours
It says "Crump" in Russian on the side... Or at least that's what google translator tells me it says...
Here's a magnetized grot rigger for the [never] times that it gets immobilized
Thanks For looking! Haha
Ah and I'm now working on a CL4P-TP!
I'm thinking of using him as either the squig that zogwort turns an enemy IC into, or just a general purpose grot oiler or squig or something.
Now that I think about it though, I will definitely be casting him once he's done. And making different poses and stuff, so there may or may not be a clap trap detachment, along with their associated shenanigans, in my army in the ensuing days....

For this one, I'm going with the classic flailing arms running away approach. Though once I cast him and make a squad of 10-20, there will be everything I can think of... Including the punk one, a break dancing one, and probably a russian one for the hell of it. Plus any others that you guys might think of.
And here he is all primed up. Actually, at the time of this post, he's almost completely painted. I just took these pics a few hours ago before some errands and painting, with no chance to upload them.
Haha you got it. Actually a full dino-wing would be pretty sweet. Who says dinosaurs are extinct, orks ride them into battle every day
Yeah I totally stole the dewback idea from the internetz, but it just works so perfectly [or so I hope it will]
And the other one is another spawn toy. They make for great conversions! There's plenty of others that I saw that would be excellent 'nid or daemon conversions [and a fraction of the price]
And also, for those of you that don't know who or what in the hell a claptrap is; THIS, in short, is claptrap:
Hmmmm....could get very interesting... The millions of more ideas, compiling on top of those that I could already never possibly have enough time for, flying around in my head!
So here's some more WIP shots of the squigglys. I've got about a week and a half to finish them now... The seemingly long time frame is catching up with me!
I really liked what I've seen with pics of people literally just plopping a battlewagon chassis on their squiggoths.... but I don't have ALL of the necessary components laying around (ie. the sides) SO I made my own damn walls.
Also started making his metal gob
Then the mek called for some ARMAH!
MOAR ARMAH!
And BUTT ARMAH!
Prolly about 75% done with the build of squig #1. Still gotta make 'im some nice and sharp teef, get that iron gob done, greenstuff the massive crevasses on it's bod, Add a ton of detail to the incredibly plain howda sides, and prolly throw on some more armah on there too, for good measure. And of course, rivet. Then paint! Squig #2 on the other hand... Not lookin so hot. With everything I still gotta do for #1 I May only have one of them done by the apoc game....
Last WIP pics before he gets some real paint on him
Got 'is gobb done!
Now primed and riveted:
It's got a big tongue...which was a pretty huge pain to build his teef around
I've decided to pretty much scrap the other one for now, given my time frame (I've only got till Saturday) Though only one of these guys alone will surely die very quickly into the battle.
