The Bombshell Babes are by Bombshell Miniatures, not McVey.

Gotta read a bit closer there Kroot. That is decidedly NOT McVey. It is Patrick Keith's new company/venture.

And aside from the big wrench and the combat pants, not really that similar. Similar themes, but very different takes on it.

That is a great sculpt, kind of regretting not adding that one in. I just went for the basic set when all was said and done.

I was expecting normal styrene plastic models though. I kind of worry a little though when it comes to resintasitc models, thanks to GW's finecast debacle, and considering they have to mass produce 4000+ sets. But I'm betting the McVey's will have much better quality control.

Privateer's PVC plastics don't suffer from any of the Finecast resin problems other than warping due to heat.

Aside from the big wrench, the combat pants, the boots with the belts, the goggles, the bare midriff, the gloves, the tool belt, the rolled up sleeves, the vest to enhance her decolleté, ... yes totally different.

But I admit, that I read too fast over the "found on the McVey forum" part.

I think that should really go out as a KS update, I feel like they (CMON) have been a little slack in that department...

It's almost like they've had another KS to worry about this past month...

Meh, as along as they are on the way soon I'm a happy camper

So many of them to paint when they get here but the cool part is I'll have a solid counts-as sisters army

I would take it from Ali's post that they are on target for November shipping. Packaging up the actual game boxes and extras and then shipping them by boat from China to the US and UK will probably take another 6 to 8 weeks.

I'll try to keep things as up to date here when I hear of new updates as for CMON communications well not much I can do about that.

While that's true, McVey could be updating things on their end as well. In either case, it's not really a good excuse that one has left your first group of customers in the dark... so you can attract yet more customers!

Well Studio McVey are posting info on their forum as it comes up

CMON is the only one able to do a KS update as 'creators'

(But since we got an update when Zombies made it onto the ocean, I'd think well get the same here)

Heh, the McVey forums are an... interesting read. Seems the sculpt for Jada Lilly has not been received... warmly.

There has been strong opposition,

strong support,

and 'we liked both', can we move on'

but then the concept art was ahead in the favorite SW character poll.

I wonder if the head sculpted for use in the THI will generate as much 'debate' when it shows up!

Strange. The proportions of the actual model look better to me than the concept art. The head on the concept art is to small and the legs were overly long. Oh well. I like the scupt. Glad I'm getting 3 of them

I thought the face was a little chubby, specifically the cheeks but nothing worth complaining about! The more time they spend fiddling around with faces, the less time they have to sculpt the rest of the models. Not saying they should rush the process, I just like seeing updates!

Personally, I didn't think the actual model was bad, it just suffers from comparison to the truly excellent Yannick Hennebo sculpts. The biggest problem I have with it is that it's like having a 28mm scale mini and a 32mm in the same game... it just looks off.

Heh, I'll say one thing for Kickstarter, it really helps one get an individual appreciation of artists! Gives me idle fantasies of organizing my own line someday... heh, emphasis on the idle!

You also need to concider that Jada is a member of the Firebrand Rebellion

the workers, conscripts and genetic experiments that underpin the corporations structure.

She may well be modified from what we would consider 'pure' human so might not be meant to look the same as the two 'homage' minis
(now I don't nessesarity belive this, but from a Sedition Wars background point of view it's completly reasonable)

(& I'm getting 3 too now, Yay
