Right. With that, 5, 7 and 12 are the winners! Thanks to everyone who voted! Thanks for picking the three that need GS work...

You know, I do believe I have more Orks completed than when I previously played! Possibly more models completed than when I previously played too! Thank you Dakka for all of your support - now let the next batch begin!

I would not want to be the one in charge of washing in your house.

I really like the biker, his CCW arm is awesome.

edit: and the gun, I just noticed there's only one there. Is that from the Necromunda Goliath set?

Doh! You are probably right. I was having so much trouble with white I forgot it might not be right to have it so clean! Still, he was just a tester for my Kommando paint scheme, so no real harm done. I will make sure this doesn't happen again. Better now than when I get to my Big Mek...

Devlan mud is your best friend here. Alternatively, a tundra schema could easily be based on the white pants. Love your orks, keep up the good work!

Da Dark Angelz vs El Quixo (1000pts/Pics!)

It had been quiet, too quiet. Skarag found it… perplexing. On one hand, he had had time to concentrate on repairs and modifications. On da uvva hand, da boyz were getting restless… Still, he didn't like being interrupted - which was why it took several grotz to eventually inform him dat Da Boss wanted to see 'im. Skarag grunted. Being summoned by Da Boss was, inconvenient. Travelin' to da Rok would take 'im away from 'is important work and there was always the possibility dat da tellyporta would land you somewhere, else. Worse, it would probably entail bumping into Grimskab and a dose of gin seed and progoid lands…

Skarag left his makeshift workshop and 'eaded towards da tellyporta. He had only taken a couple of steps before a familiar voice stopped 'im in 'is tracks. "Oi! Da Boss 'is dis way you lug!" Grimskab had appeared from behind one of da trukks. "Wot are yuze doin 'ere?" Skarag said, warily approaching da Pain boy. Grimskab nonchalantly played with 'is 'Urty Syringe. "Boss' orders. 'Urry up - don't want ta keep 'im waitin'! E's in 'ur, I mean 'is, hut!" Grimskab lumbered off towards what used to be Skarag's hut, a couple of grot orderlies scurrying after him, weighed down with large syringes, indelicate rusty tools and suspicious looking canisters. Skarag loped after 'im. If Da Boss was on da planet, something' was afoot - but Skarag couldn't help but dink Grimskab would be behind it…

"Wot took you so long?". Morgrim Grimork, "Da Lion", sat relaxed in what could only be described as a throne, surrounded by Nobz from Da Inna Circul, barely able to all fit in Skarag's hut. 'Is voice, however, was serious, dour. "Neva mind. I 'ave reports dat da Fall'n are aroun' 'ere somewhere an dat dey 'ave been in contact wiv da Fishboyz." The grin on Grimskab's face did not escape Skarag. "Ready da boyz - we 'ead out to check for clues to dere whereaboutz, an if we 'appen ta come across da Fishboyz, well I expect we'll be asking' dem nicely fer directions and loot…". Morgrim paused briefly as Da Inna Circul burst into laughter. "Silence! We move out now. I will be comin' along ta make sure its all done propa!"

Grimskab smelt at the air and pointed a taloned finger to the north west. "Ova dere. Da Fall'n have bin 'ere, I'm sure of it - I can smell'em. Morgrim turned to Skarag. "What of da Rav'nwing - any news?". Skarag smirked at Grimskab. "Fishboyz. Two 'Amma'eadz, a Dev'lfish an some flyboyz. Morgrim signalled da boyz. "Mount up lads. Take care ov da Fishboyz first." Grimskab started to speak, but Morgrim cut 'im off. "Then we'll see about dem clues to where da Fall'n are…"

Da Dark Angelz vs El Quixo - The Revenge! (1000pts/Pics!)

Morgrim surveyed the carnage with indifference. Da Fishboyz 'ad not impressed 'im. If anytink, he woz mildly annoyed. Not by da destruction of 'is Trukk - plenty more where dat came from, and da culprits 'ad bin dealt with - personally - but by da delay. It would 'ave bin okay if da Fishboyz 'ad put up a decent fight…

Grimskab paced before 'is two prisonas, gesturing wildly with a running buzzsaw. Grot orderlies scurried about, making sure to give 'im a wide berth. "Right you two!" Grimskab addressed da captives, "One of use is gunna tell me where da beakies went, da uvver is gunna say 'ello to my little friend." Grimskab opened da throttle on the da buzzsaw for effect, the whir of da buzzsaw elevatin' to a high pitched whine. "So whose it gunna be?" Grimskab spun so dat 'is back faced da captivs, 'is arms stretched out and back. Somethin' stopped 'im from spinnin' completely aroun'. Da buzzsaw's high pitched whine reduced once again to a whir, but dis time more laboured, and accompanied by the sound of bone and flesh being ripped apart. Grimskab felt something warm and sticky splatter across 'is back. He turned back around, pulling da buzzsaw free of what remained of da capiv's 'ead. "Oops… You lot!" Grimskab pointed to the grot orderlies, "Check dat one for gin seed." Da remainin' captiv looked on in horror as three Grotz tore wot remained of his comrade apart with cruel, vicious tools. "Right, where was I? Yes - you woz gunna tell me what I need ta know!"

"Wot took so long?" Morgrim demanded as Grimskab, covered in Fishboy blood and flesh, approached. "'Ad ta check'em for gin seed." Morgrim scratched 'is 'ead. "I thought only da beakies 'ad gin seed?" Grimskab grinned. "Can neva be too sure Boss!" Morgrim's muscles flinched impatiently. Grimskab took the cue and proceeded directly with 'is report. "Da beakies woz 'ere, but sum time ago. Dere's a fresha battle site dat way…"

No matter how much Devlan mud I add, people always demand more! Apart from my matt varnish (which ran out), I think my Devlan Mud is the next closest to needing replacement! (closely followed by Dark Angels Green...) A tundra scheme would be cool, and befitting Blood Axes, but doesn't quite say Dark Angel to me. Ditto - love your grotz (and I can already see you are keeping up the good work!)

Thanks! Its nice to know people appreciate them, though that is only one of my reasons for making the effort. And an effort it is - those things take for ages to put together (for me anyway) - hopefully I will get faster (and better) with time... (much like my Orks!)

Right, I think that is everyone - oh, except the last Nob by @endtransmission, which is back in Coventry awaiting varnish...

As I mentioned before, these were finished a while ago. I have been busy working on my first Trukk - which has become a much more detailed project than I had originally anticipated. Hopefully I'll have time to post a WIP of it this week, as I value your suggestions and, well, its hard to make suggestions on something you can't see...

Until then,

The Life and Times of an Ork Trukk! - Click through for better (large!) image...

This Trukk is taking *forever*. As you may or may not be able to see, I have magnetised all of the Trukk options in the Codex. And of course, as I do more, I find more to do... Here is the current "to do" list:
  • Greenstuff modelling gaps
  • Clean mould lines from 4 wheels and armour plates
  • Model and magnetise Slugga hanging on to driver side a la picture in Codex (denotes Sluggas on board)
  • Redo driver to be looking towards where he is turning and steering in that direction as well
  • Model and magnetise Shoota sitting on back tray (denotes Shootas on board)
  • Model and magnetise Ork operating Wrecking Ball

  • Once all of the modelling is done, I get to move on to the last three Shoota Boyz. Then the paint. Thankfully I have realised I don't need to paint all of the options at once! (Just the ones I regularly use - ie Standard above).

Comments, suggestions and questions all welcome! Its still a WIP...

Bonus: Nob (painted by @endtransmission, base by me - awaiting varnish - does GW even sell Matt Varnish anymore?)

Model and magnetise Slugga hanging on to driver side a la picture in Codex (denotes Sluggas on board) - Check!

Apologies for the poor photo quality - focus was off somewhat. Don't bother clicking through, it gets worse...

He is magnetised above the foremost hand and also his back foot in the Trukk. Looks better in person than in the photo. He won't be painted anytime soon - I just didn't want to have to go back and rework the Trukk later. I'm thinking about (for the far future) magnetising a base for him, so that he can double as a usable Slugga as well.

I started playing with the positioning of the sitting Shoota on the back. I may need to do the Wreck'in Ball operator first. Got me thinking to putting a Nob with Powerklaw opposite the boarding plank... when will it end??? Thankfully I don't think there will be enough room - but that won't stop me trying!

    Thanks for reading,

Hm... but how is it staying up if it's not on another vehicle...

I think I'd have to see that one first. Of course, there is no doubt in my mind that you could pull it off. (and not just cause it's magnetized)

I was thinking of placing some plasticard to stop the boarding plank from falling all the way to the ground - either straight out level with the ground or slightly up or down. I'll have to think about it some more... maybe mock up with blu-tack and get some opinions/ideas before committing the glue...
