Well today I got a model that I have always wanted to get in the post a week ago. I painted him once before but did a crap job, the paint was so thick I could not make anyh details apart from arms, legs, head and knives. But this week I got a chance to paint him again and I did a good job this time, I even mounted him on a custom base. He was a real treat to paint, I love everything about this model from the many eyes too the giant knives. I would recomend for everyone to buy this guy and just enjoy painting him, even if you don't play orks.

And here is a picture of the base (Sorry it is not completly clear). It is supposed to be a tiled road with sand and grass on either side. I simply cut up peices of base from the Black Orcs set, and the gluing them down in a pattern that looked like a road.

I finished the trukk this morning. I painted the checks on the side of the trukk because I intend to paint the same check pattern on every vehicle in the army to give them look more uniformed.

sorry for the lack of updates lately, I have not been able to take pictures lately. I have recently been able to get into malifaux and my dark eldar are coming along nicely, not much time for the orks. I will probably be putting up pictures of the lootas soon.

Nice looking stuff Moonshine.

I love the Warboss with the chrome helmet/mask. Striking.

I am really liking how the black ork parts work out with 40k Orks. I've toyed with that before and definitely am going to have to go with it for Gorgrimm's boyz.

I like your vehicles too. How do you like the Killa Kan models? they look dead 'ard.

I personally love the Kan models, I think they are one of the best kits gw makes. As for the black on orks, I think it is brilliant, it pprovides an perfect basecoat, i broke it all up with various reds and browns. The green and black really unifies ork armies. Thanks for all of the compliments

Oh sorry, while I really do like black painted orks, they look dead mean, I meant Black Orc parts in 40k. The heads just fit so well.

I have some very old killa Kans I got online a long time ago. I have been toying with replacing them ever since I picked up one of the new Deff Dreads. Yours look awesome, so its tipping the scales. I love those grotzookas.

Thanks, the black orcs are great for making Ard boys, they ra enot big enough to be nobs but stand out amongst the regular boys.

The new grotzookas are great, because I needed three I was forced build one from scratch using the kanon from the battlewagon kit and some other spare bits.

So it's been a while but with good reason, I'm quiting 40k, this army is being sold tommorow ot some time in the new year, I'm not quitting gaming though as I intend to use the money from my 40k stuff being sold to get into Warmachine, Dystopian wars, Infinity(maybe) and to buy a whole bunch of Malifaux crews to expand that for me. Thanks for supporting this thread, I'll probably post a link to the next one here when I get going.

Yeah, it's been 5 months since I last played, it cost 400£ for an army, GW sucks in general, I like other models more and I like other game systems more, I don't know why anybody still bothers playing it.
