The trick is to not get all 30 in the photo at once, 3-4 guys at a time is really all you need to do.

I really like the rust, the only problem with it I can see it that it is pretty much opposite of where it should be. When something rusts is usually starts the in area were it is used least, but it appears your is at with it is used the most.

Armies:
Space Wolves - 2000 pts (3000 pts with very very little proxy)
Orks - 6000 pts
Dark Eldar - 1000 pts

Grie Verlon : Lots of photos would be a bit boring. You get the idea of what they look like after seeing several of the boys and I only did it to show how many I have done.

As for the rust, I'm just going to go with the excuse that it is orks: maybe they only applied rust protection on certain places, maybe they used different peices of metal to build their guns, maybe it is because they belive it will only rust their or maybe it is just an weird ork thing

Well thats one troop choice down. 5 more to go. Only bad thing about orks. You have to paint so many. Now if they would just let you use 10 orks give the 3 wounds and triple their attacks it would cut back alot on the painting. But so far no one will bite to that.

Ah but where is the fun in that ? And also they would only get 40 attacks on the charge instead of 120 !

Yeah thats why I paint huge mobs of them.

Sigh, I still have a whole load of orks on my desk but the good news is only 10 more to complete my slugga and choppa mob. I took a break today to change my avatar but now back to painting. Does anybody know a way to speed up the painting process ?

Been working on the trukk I got in the ork battleforce and I decided change it up a bit to make it slightly unique. Sorry for the blurry photos but I took the photos in a hurry. The red areas are done in the same way Arakasi does his except I replaced mechrite red with blood red and instead of washing it Asurman blue I used Baal red, on the wheels and the front ram I used Badab black, I used a stipple brush for the weathering aswell . I still have some work to do but I would love to hear your thoughts on it.

I am looking for a good way to paint metal, anybody got a good technique ?

Oh and I am starting Warmachine and Malifaux, does anybody want to see it ?

As you can see the gunner is on top

I attempted some blending on the black areas, I am pleased eith the results

Here is the ladder for the dirver !

I use both the Asurmen Blue and Baal Red - but for different purposes. Mix some Asurmen Blue with some Gloss Varnish and paint it directly into the crevices - it may just be your photos, but it should increase the contrast very effectively. I use the Baal Red wash at the end to tone down the orange-y look I end up with, and help integrate all of the layers. It's looking good - though better pictures would always be nice!

Yeah better pictures would definatly help but I did it in a rush. Thanks, I will try the asurman blue idea.

I didnt notice before but I like how you repositioned the gunner and added the ramp. Gives a whole new feel to the trukk. Very nice.

Thanks. I wanted to get the driver to look as if he is sitting in a watchtower or somthing. I like to think that he would sit in it even when it was not moving to stop it from being stolen and to shoot grots who wanted a joyride. It is a really simple conversion and for the next trukk I am considering adding a ramp that goes from where the passenger seet it into the back (It is hard to describe).
