Thank you, i get quite a few comments about how i paint ork eyes. It's easy first go over them with blood red then add blazing orrange to one of the corners, finnaly add the smallest dot of skull white to the corner. finally go over the eyes with gloss varnish.

Hi again

I'm working on the killa kans with the grotzookas and i've put down the basic coulor scheme, i satrted with catachan green and used da green and a 50/50 mix of bleached bone and goblin green, he's not done but I love the way he looks.

The other squad of kans will be deffskulz.

I tried to do some sorce lighting around the lights under the eye-thing and on the sarab, waether it's alive or part of the grotzooka, we'll never know

and he is

Erlier theis morning i sat down infront of my workbench and got to painting the battlewagon. Even though it's not finished i'm very pleased with it. I mostly worked on the wheels and the side. The front of the battlewagon has been highlighted and wethered and i'm pretty pleased with how it came out. The horns were great fun to paint and i also painted the part the crew look out of red, and this along with the horns and teeth on front, make it look like an angry face. Unfortunatly i didn't get the door, orks, big shootas or grot rigge painted. For the wheels i looted the red from arakasi who's trukk, inspired me to get working on my battlewagon . I am really happy with the results (even though i spilled chainmail all over the white dwarf guide ) On the back of the battlewagon I painted one of the bits on the back yellow and the painted the bad moon symbol on it, and crossed it out, I think the orks stole this from another battlewagon that they blew up. On top of the battlewagon i attempted some source lighting that came out alright imo, the red would suggest he crew are burning somthing in there.

the yellow looked better than i thought it would, this has given me the courage to try some bad moons in the future

thanks again arakasi, i love the way it looks and i enjoy painting it.

this wheel isn't as good as the first but I like it anyway.

heres my first ever attempt at source lighting

and finnaly the front of the batlewagon, I think it looks like an angry orky face, what does eveyone else think?

I think the interior of the source lighting needs to be brighter. Also, it looks more like the metal around it has heated up to be red-hot, rather than being lit up.

Really like what's going on in the thread.

There's probably something on U tube about the ource lighting. My 2 cents worth though is that I think the glow is meant to be darker round the outside than the actual light source, so if the light was a blood red then I would drop down to red gotre or scab red. (please be aware I have never tried this so it's just an initial thought)

Ooooh, nice army moonshine, in particular I like the converted big shoota boy and the battlewaggon Great to see you are salvaging some of your previous orks too, but maybe next time you move, use a different removal company

Looking good! A wor dof advice on the graffiti: I found it it looks better if your colour transition from dark to light goes from one side of the letter to the other instead of lighter towards the center.

The horns look cool, but aren't they very fragile?

A Squeaky Waaagh!!

Camkhieri: "And another very cool thing, my phones predictive text actually gave me chicken as an option after typing robot, how cool is that."'

Meercat: "All eyes turned to the horizon and beheld, in lonely and menacing grandeur, the silhouette of a single Grot robot chicken; a portent of evil days to come."

Thanks for all the commentsguys, it's really motivating.

I've done some work on the grot on the killa kan but there really isn't picture worthy and i I got in a game 1500pt yestarday with my chaos army vs a wraith haevy necron list, it ended up in a draw but was very memorable, I only had to kill three more wariors to make them phase out.

But back on subject :

bunnygurl : Thanks, i try and make things look orky, it's one of the best things about playing orks

Arakasi : Cheers, The red is a great technique thanks for showing me it, i'm not sure wetheri'll do it for any other vehicles, maybe i'll replce the red with another colour next time ?

taffiarti : I checked you tube and did'nt find to much. I went with blazing orrange and built it up by mixing it with blood red .

Boyz "R" Us : Thanks, most ork armies end up looking nice. The big shoota is a cool model, i could have used the normal big shootas but I wanted all the special weapons in the mob too look diffrent, and the battleagon is a fantastic model to work with. And as for the removal company well, they're lucky i didn't do to them what gazghul did to yarrick.

CommissarKhiane : Thank you, i'll try that when i do more graffiti cheers. The horns were very weak at first but after they fell off th third time i realized they would be terrible to keep on so i used the some Jb Weld (industrial strength adhesive ,for when models really won't stay together) and that did the trick.

Sorry, I am not really an expert on source-lighting. I've seen lots of good tutorials on here though, so you may want to look for them.

I have to say, the source lightning looks better now. It looks like the drivers/pasangers are building a fire in there, or the thing is running on a steam engine.

I really wanted to paint last night and i wanted to paint somthing blue. So I grabbed an ard boy and got going. The feet are the most weathered and I like how they look now, but I was doubting it earlier today . The blue was great to do but now i'm stuck with chosing a second colour to go on the ard boy, I was thinking either red, black or bone colour. I also built another ard boy.

Heres the blue ard boy

And the unpainted boy

The work on the ard boy is really slow, I got slowed down because I've built an ammo runt and an attack squig. Next weekend i'm buying DoW (I can't spend everything on wargaming) so that will probably slow down worka bit more, but by the end of next week I should have pics of the ard boy, finished and the ammo runt and attack squig.

Thanks, the only thing i'm worried about is will it look good on the table, all the diffrent clans might look like they're from diffrent armies, but hopefully the green skin will make them all work together

Well this just poped in my head - fly with me I don't know the way to play the tabletop game - you can also mix up the troops, you know a unit of bad moons evil suns and some goffs or something I dont know
This might work better with a HQ (?) unit like nob bodyguards, Imagine a warboss followd by a Badmoonz, Evilsuns and Goff meganob that would be awesome in my book
I'm just spitballing here

I dont have anything to say here....

DamienOfTheWRAAAGH: I like you're idea but every member in a mob will be the same clan, it makes it easy to tell who goes in what squad.

Anyway tommorow i'll be going down to my local gw for a game or two, i'll be using my old, badly painted models unforunatly but it's just until I replace them with some nice new models.

I'll be taking

Snikgrim, he has alot of gear so i can't be bothered to write it all in

Big mek with kff, burna, cybork

11 ard boyz, nob pk, bosspole, in a trukk

30 shoota boyz, 2rokkkitz, nob, pk, boospole

30 boyz, 3 big shootas, nob, pk, bospole

30 grotz, 3 runtherds

3 killa kanz, 3 grotzookas

2 killa kanz, 2 big shootas

so thats what i'm takingn i'll tell you how it went tommorow and in the words of
Snikgrim "OI Wana see what me boyz do to ya, Shoot yerself in da face and chop yer ead off and ya get da idea"
