I was in my local GW store today, talking with some other games, and in the conversation it was mentioned that every 40K player has painted an Ultramarine, or at least an other Space Marine. I contested this as I have not. And now am wondering how many people have or have not painted a Space Marine model.

And to all those wondering, there is not intended as hate for Space Marines, just a simple curiosity.

yes. Aurora Chapter, 5th, 6th, and 7th companies.

After the orbital strikes, Thunderhawk bombardments, Whirlwinds, Vindicators, fusion and starfire and finally Battle Brothers with flamers had finished cleansing the world of all the enemies of Man, we built a monastery in the center of the largest, most radioactive impact crater. We named the planet "Tranquility", for it was very quiet now.

Did Chaos first to be honest, noise marines to be precise.

Black Templar for loyalists.

Gray Knights as second.

Never painted an ultramarine, not once. Not even curious about it.

I started an Ultra marine army in the last edition of the SM codex. They were cool and had the tyranid hunters. then they went and took those guys away. I lost interest in them after that.
