Hi my name is Rick, but I'm known on several 40k sites as Commander Blueshock (or just Blueshock, whatever). I play both Tau and Tyranids in the 40k universe. My Tau forces make up around 5-6k in points, and my Tyranids are a little over 3.2k and slowly growing. I'm a painter, a converter of sorts (I enjoy converting bases much more than the models though), and I love playing as much as I love the construction portion of the game. I have weekly game nights at my house in my basement (when my wife don't mind), usually with my 2 best buds. The one is rolling a 6k Necron army which I have had nothing but pure enjoyment painting (so far a Heavy Destroyer, a Lord with Veil and Staff of Light, his Nightbringer and his Deceiver), where the other who has a 1.2k Wolves army which he is diligently working on (not to mention his painting skills are pretty impressive so unfortunately I don't get to paint any of his models myself). We have 2 local gaming locations around my area, though I don't play there often unless I'm in a tournament (a wife and 2 kids take up alot of time so I don't get to leave the house much...hence the reason for game night at home), and most of the players that attend the tournaments love my paint scheme. I don't claim to be the best painter, but for me it's fairly satisfactory. Anyways hope you all enjoy what I have to offer in my posts.

Have you uploaded pics of your army to the gallery yet? I'm curious to see your paint scheme, my best friend plays a crysis suit army, all maroon and black... interesting colors to say the least haha.
