This is simply to see how badly you Dakkaites have pleased/angered the Dice Gods.

Feel free to elucidate the circumstances regarding theis treachery/loyalty, and/or to explain any 10+ or 20+ results.

I rolled 8 ones out of 16 dice in my second round of ard boyz this year. Terminator squad vanished before my eyes. That basically cost me placement, I'm still pretty miffed about it.

I've probably rolled more at once though. 30 boyz attacking in close combat average 20 1's on the charge.

I once killed my own terminator squad in one go when I rolled 6 armor saves... with 5 ones.

The worst I can remember was back in 2nd edition. At that point in time, you worked out close combat a model at a time, and models fought against all enemy models with which they were in base contact.

Adding to the fun, 6's (Critical Hits) on the attack dice added a +1 to your attack score. 1's (fumbles) reduced it by 1.

The Eversor Assassin had an extra rule that gave him an additional attack for each opponent he had defeated in that same round of combat.

I had an Eversor in combat with a Bloodthirster and a bunch of Chaos Marines. Sliced and diced the marines, and when the time came to attack the Bloodthirster I was rolling 12 attack dice... and rolled nine 1's...

The poll itself is a bit skewed since the same amount of dice are not being rolled by everyone -or every turn. I probably rolled a good 16-18 in one unit's attacks back in my my 40k days when I played tyranids, but I don't really roll more than 5 dice at once these days. I know for sure I have rolled 4/4 1s in warmachine. Boosted damage on a jack and I get 3 on 3d6 plus a 1 on damage column.

I rolled 4 straights 1s with a damage roll with pButcher yesterday.

Needless to say, I still won the game as Butcher kept attacking and killed everything next to him.

11 out of 18 dice.

Close combat attacks.

Got wiped out in return.

I can't say for sure since I've been playing wargames for over twenty years, but last week I rolled seven ones, out of twelve dice, while rolling saves for my dire avengers after receiving some first rank fire, second rank fire action.

Plasma Guns on my CCS round 2 of Ardboyz Rapid Fired and 11111111 ... needless to say I lost my CSS and the Officer failed morale ...

5 Fire dragons standing 2" away from mephiston, think i got this, fire, 4 's and a 3. They were utterly destroyed next turn

The one that always sticks in my mind was a game of Necromunda from years ago. As insaniak described above, 6's were +1 to your score, and 1's were fumbles, adding to their score.

I had a HTH specialist in close combat with their heavy weapon guy, and the match-up was so bad that the only way I could literally (and mathematically) lose would be if I rolled three 1's on my three D6's. Even with two 1's and a 2 I'd still win. I even said, out loud, to my opponent "The only way I can lose this is if I roll three 1's".

Well I got to swallow my own hubris that day as I immediately proceeded to roll three 1's!!!

My HTH specialist goes down and out, heavy lives to fight another day. So... so stupid...

None, because I roll like a champ.

I guess the poll is more aimed at your most memorable huge batch of 1s, since sometimes rolling a snake-eyes for morale with a lone guardsman is more game-changing than rolling a dozen 1s for a Boyz squad in a round of CC. It's completely subjective

A Full 10 man strong SM Assault squad on the charge. Can't remember what I was attacking ro how many 1's there were. I just remember only getting 5 hits when I needed +3's.

11 ones in one go.

the only thing was, those 11 ones were 6's the time before i rolled them.

10 destroyers fired at a land-raider (only model on the table).
i think i got like 18 hits, out of 30, so i was feeling okay.

then rolled . Was bloody high on that. 11 glances on this landraider, if i'd destroyed it probably would of won me the game.
so i'm incredibly happy and boast at my opponent, saying his land raider is TOAST and...

!

About 6, but I was rolling a lot

Friend of mine managed 13 1s out of 15 dice once, though. The others were 2s. He needed 3s to hit. Edit: and as a result his Dark Eldar got wiped by a unit of fire warriors in CC.

My worst is any weapon with the "Gets hot" rule. I am forever rolling ones with them to the extent that I no longer use them.

However, my most iconic time is having two packs of Long Fangs and a CML. 10 Krak missiles at a Hive Tyrant. Every singe one was a 1.
The Nid player was in stitches. I died a little inside. =(

I think I've rolled 5 ones with 5 dice. That's pretty uncommon, and somewhat disasterous game-wise.

If someone rolled 10 ones in one throw I'd wonder if the dice were loaded.

I once had to allocate 4 wounds on my completely unhurt Abbadon after a 20 strong squad of shoota boys shot at him. I failed all 4 2+ saves. It wasn't a good day.

I'd say "Thank the gods I'm not alone!" But then remember that it is the same Dice gods that keep tormenting us. =(

To make a long story short. It is turn 2 my deffkoptas shoot to hit the rear armour of a SM dreadnougth. Strength 8 against AV10 it is gonna be easy, not if you roll 2 ones

My worst dice result was nine "1" out of 12 dice, back when I was playing Confrontation. It makes me lose a fight won in advance.

More recently, I didn't success to obtain a 5+ result on two dice, four time in a row with my eviscerator canoness against a stopped tank... Thanks to too many one, once again.

This sort of thing happens !

Five. I rarely see that many at once, though. Yesterday I got three ones out of four dice. I almost cried. They were all 'to wound' rolls for Thunder Hammers, too.

Ultimate (fake) rule : It is when you need to roll 2+ that dice come to 1's...

I rolled 7 1's out of 8 Dangerous Terrain rolls. It was either turn 1 or 2 in a Kill Teams game with Ork Kommandoz. And it was awesome

Recently I rolled 5 6's on 5 dice. My luck with dice goes from one extreme to another, always within games.

Rolled 6 dice for my plasma guns on my termi-side squad.
Managed to roll 3 1's, then another 2x 1's on the armour saves..

Very embarassing

Had two squads of Ork boyz (pretty worn down) charge an IG blob.

Out of 100+ dice, I rolled at least 20 "1's"

Not particularly spectacular, tbh.

yey for shocking saves!! i had a 10 man terminator squad, 7 saves from lasgun fire and rolled 6 1's
