Good job Shame it involved breaking, but as long as you can fix it, all's good, definitely looks more natural now. 'Da dark angel' looks good too, like the pose.

Artsoldier35: Thanks!
The Good Green: Glad you like it . As for the retaliation: it can't be worse then wat orks regularly do to grots so...
Gitsplitta: Yes, Empowerment! Time to burn some grot braziers! .
monkeytroll: thank you! The breaking wasn't all that bad in the end, the killa kan ankles are a good place to break, very easy to fix. Da dark angel's pose is all about the stuff under his back really, it adds a sense of struggle, this time even without it looking like he's tripping up a kan
moonshine: Yes, he does
Arakasi: Bring it on! Glad you like him, and this just means we'll have to play each other someday I guess

Commissar Agro: Thanks! I kind a like the wings as well - Now I just need to find a spot for an ork helmet with the big HE helmet wings somewhere
moonshine: Thanks!
Heffling: lol; not exactly a banana peel, but if I ever manage a shokk attack gun... I have few nice ideas for things to do to orks !
Young Logan: painted pictures would imply it being painted and I'm not quite there yet - not even an undercoat I'm afraid.
I've been busy with holidays, construction work in the house, and preparing for Conquest of Mythodea. Cleaning up full plate is hard work. So, little modelling time, but I'l hopefully be able to pick up the pace after I'm back next week. I've got a tourney where I'll be takign the grots end of August and I still need a buggy, a bunch of grots, 8 lootas, and 4 burngrots, so I'll need to pick up the pace! Not only that, but I got a stompa from my wife, so I'll have to something special with that as well.
To more or less justify my blabbering on: here's a minor fluff update:
++++++
The ‘free’ Ogryn freaked the grots out. They had followed the hunting party to the camp, carrying the dead miners when told to do so. They had kept following Scrabz and Scragnutz till they had told them to stop. And then... They had just waited, standing there. They had accepted orders, but shown no intention of acting without being ordered. To the hyperactive grots, this was highly unsettling. They had been offered some of the ‘umie flesh, and they had just looked at it, only eating when told to do so – it was good though, Scrabz loved the taste, he’d eat Enemy over squig any time! “ Come’on ya big lug! Do something!” Scrabz threw his hands up in despair and frustration. They had saved them! Yet, the servitor didn’t understand! All of a sudden, the drill-armed servitor blurted out a message: “T his unit will require additional power within 24 hours”. “What Power? Big Lug?” “Electrical systems are running low on power; please replace or reload batteries within 24 hours” The grot was dumbfounded. It sounded technical though, so he decided to get Gitskag.
Gitskag’s genetic ‘awakening’ had been speeding up, and symbols such as a lightning bolt immediately made sense to him now. Soon, they found a power source in an abandoned tunnel, and hooked up the servitors.
The servitors’ cybernetic augmentations also made clear what some of the refuse was, which had been puzzling Gitskag: it was mekanikal bitz to replace body parts! He immediately set to work on that as well, stealin’ juice from the same powercable they used to reload the Ogryn’s power source. Soon, Squealy was walking around again, his crushed feet replaced with stompy iron ones. They occasionally misbehaved, but getting kicked by your own feet still beat crawling around like a crippled squig. Gitskag and Gutrag had combined their knowledge, and they were proud of the result. The offer to replace limbs was made to a lot to grots with small injuries the next few days, who generally were smart (and cowardly) enough to politely refuse – and bring witnesses.
++++++++++
The ogryn had been accepted quite easily into the grot community. In part, it had amazed him, considering the grot’s vicious nature. But the servitors were a visible symbol that the Enemy could be defeated. Besides, the grots called Scrabz and Scragnutz had taken a liking to the Ogryn they had saved, and defended them ferociously from any grots up to some mischief. The drill-equipped Ogryn had started to respond to BigLug (mainly because Scrabz always called him that),and in doing so had gained a name. The grots considered the servitors big and dumb because they didn’t understand what had been done to them in order to turn them into servitors; one could say they treated them like small children or pets: bossing them around, but with a hint of affection.
++++++++++++++
The Enemy had erected a plasteel barrier in the tunnel to keep out what they thought was a subterranean monster, but the grots had waited for a few days after the construction was finished, and had then tunnelled around the barrier. They had an entrance now, a way to get at the Enemy. They weren’t going to give it up! The hunting packs had been training ferociously, a new goal in mind. The spearguns were good for hunting anything, even if they were very heavy and low on ammo. Gitskag was already thinking about designs to improve them. The highly volatile substances they had found in the toxic waste sumps had been promising, and he had been experimenting with the explosive mixtures, a genetic need kicking in and providing him with an instinctive knowledge, if not with common sense – the resultant explosion and the burning squig hound running around the village sparked the interest of more grots, and soon there was a group of like-minded grots experimenting with explosives and burny stuff.
+++++++++++++++++
The grot parties had slowly explored the tunnel system and the artificial caves created by the Adeptus Mechanicus when they constructed the Biologis facility. The size of everything was intimidating to the grots: huge caves filled with engines powered by geothermal probes, tended to by servitors; loading bays bigger then the ‘uge cave they called home… And not a living soul around! All they encountered were servitors, who were rarely programmed to respond. Some, however, had been programmed to eradicate vermin. The grots quickly adapted and learned to recognise them, and soon they were toting laserweapons and shotguns based off the servitor’s weapons. All the new tech made Gitskag drool all over the place, forcing him to reluctantly admit more grots to his inner circle of techies. The grots made sure to evade capture, and managed to advance technologically at an astonishing speed. Without the bigger orks to suppress them, grot society came into its own.
++++++++++++++++++++
Bigger updates when I'm back from Conquest of Mythodea!

Ah, yes. My Grandmother was Belgian too... Flemish, French, German, English, Latin & a smattering of Spanish/Italian. One of those horribly polyglottal countries, bit like Switzerland . Shame I can only bumble my way through German at best.

Wow, you're away a few days bashing people's head in with a sword and.. lots of replies
The Good Green: Yes it is, not to mention the goold old Duke Nuike'em! And: thanks!
Arakasi: Thank you! Practice helps, plus getting taught our second language real quick: we start age 10.
Hobofisherman: Thank you!
Commissar Agro: Thanks man!
Gitsplitta; part 1: Thanks!
part 2: Gotta love gretchin. It's the weird and humorous stuff that got me into playing GW games in the first place, and I tend to miss out on those in the newer editions - so I've decided to add some weirdness and humour myself!
KingoftheJuice: Thank you! It's not coming along as fast as I wish, but that's real life for you...
monkeytroll: Thanks! And it's never too late - consider Chinese,; there's plenty of people to practise it with
Atre: Thanks, and your grandma got me beat: I'll match her Flemish, French, English and Latin, but I only know a few words of German besides that. That's what you get get when only a few people speak your native tongue: horrible polyglots
Rose_Mountainz: Thank you! I'm aiming to have some stuff moving a bit faster, but I need to get some things sorted out first.
Now, I'm back from Conquest of Mythodea, got to meet some nice people (and kill them), and it's back to modelling! I've agreed to take the grots to a tournament the 29th of August. No way they'll be fully painted, but I aim to have all the modelling done for my list.
You can find the list right here, and I've noted what still needs to be done to get it finished. I won't be changing the list build for this tourney, since it's already been sent to the organizer!
1750 points Grot Revolution:
HQ
Warboss, mega armour, bosspole, cybork body: finished
Mekboy, Kustom Force Field, Power Klaw: finished
ELITES
10 Burnaboyz: 6 built, 0 painted
5 Lootas : 1 built, 0 painted
5 Lootas: 1 built, 0 painted
TROOPS
29 gretchin, 2 runtherds: fully painted
18 gretchin, 1 runtherd: 16 grots PIP, runtherd finished
18 gretchin, 1 runtherd: 9 undercoated, 9 to be built, runtherd PIP
5 meganobz, 2x rokkits, 1x skorcha: 4 meganobz finished, 1 PIP
Battlewagon, 2 big shootas, defrolla, boarding plank: finished
FAST ATTACK
1 Buggy squadron, 1 x trakk, 3xrokkits (twin-linked): 1 needs to be built built, 1 track painted, 1 undercoated
1 deffkopta, twin-linked rokkits, buzzsaw: undercoated
1 deffkopta, twin-linked rokkits, buzzsaw: undercoated
HEAVY SUPPORT
3 killa kans, grotzookas: 1 finished, 1 PIP, 1 undercoated
3 killa kans, rokkits: undercoated
Battlewagon, 2 big shootas, defrolla, boarding plank: built, needs to be painted because the tracks can't be attached till painted
So my priorities for the 29th:
get 9 more grots built: easy
get 1 more rokkit buggy built: easy
get the last meganob finished: easy
get 4 more burnagrots finished: difficult
get 8 more lootas finished: difficult
get the battlewagon finished: difficult
get everything painted: impossible!
Looking at it like this, I'm wondering the smartness of my decision to enter the tourney with the revolution . I'm not going to give up hope though - we'll have to wait and see what the next few weeks bring!
