wow it looks amazing i'd like it if it had a suction tube on it but what you've done is good

monkeytroll: thanks. this will be one of those pieces were vicious humour will make it work

Rose_Mountainz: Thank you! I've added a new pic to make thigns a bit clearer.

Dysartes: Not sure yet. I like the Nac Mac Feegle idea, but I'll have to see how it works out with the models. I know I can make it work with a grot, but a lot of snotties do have some humorous (sp?) potential

Moonshine: thanks. I liked the grabber arm because I wanted to improve on the orky design, and because grots are too weedy to hold on to a suction tube

Anway, clearer pic with one option: a grot controller. The basic gun build is finished, it's the other worky bits that I'm still considering. I'm rummaging through my bitz boxes to see if I have enough snotlings that could work, but we'll have to see what I dig up.

I don't mind it extending over the base, but this pic does show how big the darn thing is

That looks really cool. Great idea for the attack gun. I think you should have some grots trying to stuff an Ork into the box that is attached to the Shokk Attak Gun's "ammo" tube.

Also, will you be adding any more fluff, because I am a real fan of it and would love to see another installation.

EDIT: changed my idea.

I think it needs more of an entrance for the orks to get into the gun. What about running a huge hose from the gun to the grabba bit and having it be like a big vacuum?

The gun looks cool, very much a SAG. I think the rig needs more grots, though.

Gathering Storm: thanks! I don' t have many grots in good poses, so I'll have to settle for a bunch of grots controlling the crane arm . I've been working on and off on some fluff, but it's not quite there yet...If I get it roght though, expect a bunch of fluff updates followign each other (relatively) closely!

The Good Green: The entrance is there, and hopefully it'll be clearer in these pics - and there's more snotlings now - in fact, there's only snotlings, quite fitting for a SAG as has already been pointed out

moonshine: glad it makes sense now - I feel conversions should be very obvious if you're straying from 'regular' stuff.

grotsrus: watch the pic, this should make it clear

So, more piccies! The gun itself is finished bar removing some mould lines, now I just need to gs the ork hangin there and find an additional snotling in a suitable pose to be pestering the ork

Now, it's back to painting the last battlewagon bits and the burnagrot - since I actually see myself using those in battle . Let me know what you think!

Adjust the ork's free leg (ie. his left one). It's not quite natural in the current pose.

Other than that - Awesome

That's looking great, CK. Why do I feel that the Snotling with catapult would be appropriate here?

Atre: actually, it's his caught leg I adjusted. I wanted him to look like he was wriggling, trying to get out of the grip. And: thank you!

The Good Green: see the comment above Thanks!

monkeytroll: Thanks, I really like the old snotties. I'm going to order me the lootin' grots from GW Direct as well I think, it's a nice way to add some variation and humour!

Gitsplitta: I wish, but thank you, glad you like'em!

moonshine: thanks!

Dysartes: the one with the catapult is sitting on another snotling's shoulders, and these guys are already being used to control the crane arm. I found a tomato-throwing one though

grotsrus: Thank you, and feel free to loot it! My only gripe with it is that it's a tad big for a 40mm base, but I doubt anyone'll make a problem of it .

Anyway, I finished the ork and added another snotling to the SAG, and I'm calling it finished for now.

I'm going to be building some more grots to keep me sane while painting lot sof orange. In the meanwhile, expect a painted burnagrot somewhere this week, as that's next on the list of things to finish!

Looks great. You should have another Grot on the SAG which is pointing a stick at the Ork to bait it.

I really like the ork it's like some torture plan by a james bond villian.
I imagine if they were talking it would sound like this

Ork: do you you excpect me to die?

Grot: no i excpect you to travel through my impossible machine through the war and apear craved on the other side.

Must... not... encourage...

If that Ork ends up another in Da Dark Angelz colours it'll be an objective, not a SAG!

Really like the job on the chute thing on the back though.

wib: That's more or less the point . I just wish there were more grot models that are useful for this kind of thing.

RaptorsTallon: Thanks!

Gathering Storm: Thank you! I wish I had a proper model, but a grot would be too big compared to the snotlings. Maybe if I find a good model in my bitz box!

moonshine: Accusing us poor grots of torture? It's the orks that tortured us! This is just poetic justice - applied with a pointy stick

monkeytroll: Thanks! Good ide aon the legs, I'll try and add some shackles or something.

Arakasi: Glad to see you're still around! The chute is what makes it work IMO, since a tube would be a tad heavy for the little snotties . And: I'll be going through my bitz box for a few feathers in that case

Now, onto a painted model: I finally managed to get a burnagrot finished (shock!horror!gasp!) . Here's the piccies, painfully showing I need to fix up the yellow and black striping a tad more. Pictures always show the bitz you missed :(

Pics were taken with flash, so the colours are a tad paler then they should be. Let me knwo what you think!

Behind th Mask: Thank you!

Rose_Mountainz: Yeah, I know... Painting is just a lot slower then modelling

grotsrus: the gun itself uses a zzap gun from the battlewagon as a base, with KMB bits from the dread. The crane is a BW grabba arm, and the track unit is from a wartrakk.

It melted.... it's better not to ask why.

On the up-side the new version will have custom made helmets, jump packs and shoulder pads... so maybe it was fate. Also on the up-side your grots are freakin' AWESOME! Put that in your pipe and smoke it... *grin*

Have to say when talking about the Grot SAG I just had this image of half a dozen signs "Come here for free Gunz" "Free Teefs here" "Dead good choppy loot 'ere" until it leads to a large X below the giant vacuum cleaner which fires them into the warp....Yours looks far better however!

"But me no buts! Our comrades get hurt. Our friends die. Falkenburg is a knight who swore an oath to serve the church and to defend the weak. He'd be the first to tell you to stop puling and start planning. Because what we are doing-at risk to ourselves-is what we have sworn to do. The West relies on us. It is a risk we take with pride. It is an oath we honour.
