Well, that may be true of our current gun tech, but in the future glowing barrels help light the grimdark.....

Great work on the base...

@mt: Love your comment... made me laugh A LOT.

Unfortunately, I have a lot of things to do before Adepticon that 7 other people are depending on my for. I can't get bogged down in a pet project. Perhaps I'll add the glow later on.

Love the quad gun figure. Could have spent a couple of weeks fiddling around with it but just no time. This'll have to do for the nonce. Enjoy!

Very nice, and the little hazard stripes give it added MW vibe!

The funny part is, I put this up as the "final" shot... and immediately notice that it needs more work. The banding metal is supposed to be the same brownish color as the metal on the base, it needs some edge highlighting, etc. So I dive back in and put in another half hour or so on it. I think it actually IS finished now, but I'm not going to muck around with more pics. You'll have to trust me on this one.

Let me finish the last marine... my dev sergeant. Then I'll do an official Adepticon army shoot. Good enough?

After that... I suppose I'm about due for a new chapter shot. Quite a bit more has been added since I took the last one.

I bet I'm close to 5000 points now... if not over.

*chuckle* Well, you get my meaning anyway.

I spent some time fooling around with Army Builder and worked out the points for what I've gotten done. Are you guys interested in seeing a pic of everything I've painted, or a pic of the biggest legal army I can field? My most expensive legal army is just shy of 3800 pts. (using C:SM). If I were to count up everything... it's well over 5k, but nearly all of the extra (close to 1,300 pts) is just made up of different HQs. I think you're really only missing 1 dread and 2 LS Storms as far as real troops go. I'm not including my GMS marines in this as they're from a different "era" of the chapter. This is just the Badab War stuff.

Let me know.

Well, not too much really. Have traded away all of my later period marines in the GMS. I have about 2.5 tactical squads worth of "modern" GMS marines, and several Mk 7 characters to go with them. I so much want to get to the later stuff... I just never seem to get there. The early period stuff just keeps piling up.

In general, the quad gun has been good for one hull point per turn of firing. That would be helpful if the Dev squad with sky fire would ever live long enough to also shoot their weapons... Which they haven't.

Can't believe I only have one marine left to paint. He's sitting on my painting desk right now... mocking me. (from afar)

Can i ask where this 300 nonsense is coming from? We (Gits) just went over 350....

in other news: i think whole army shot has got to be done, legal armies are nice and all, but a whole collection is a thing of beauty....
