Silly question time: given that Resin Forge gives every indication that they are paying attention to this thread (which seems to be the main source of information on the subject, or so it seems), has there been a reason given for why the "remaining 2 partners" haven't simply registered and address this criticism head-on?
It's hardly a point for or against their honesty, but given that they seem to be jumping though some fairly silly hoops (using a 3rd party to relay conversations through facebook?) it only seems to make sense.
It's not like these are negotiations between nations at war: according to their latest statements, Resin Forge claims to be as much the victim of DM as anyone else. Is there a reason not to come onto Dakka and remove all questions? Assuming, arguendo, that the statements of RF are truthful they have nothing to lose and quite a bit to gain by removing the lingering taint of this association.

Done once we have Daniel officially removed as co-owner. That way the tax and business info match. If we list it now people will say he has never quit and wont. With proof showing he's gone, that ends that topic.

Yeah, therein lies the rub: while DM could be relied upon to make outlandish claims that there was a conspiracy that prevented RF from posting... he's supposedly out of the scene. Given that we know they can post, and their previous reticent can be attributed to personnel not in current employ, their reasoning for not posting seems... obscure.

Because they don't have other means to communicate with Lexicanum And because they themselves only communicate publicly via Facebook. People would have to drop by this thread specifically looking for it. On Facebook pages fast spreading news moves in very different patterns through shares and newsfeeds.

For starters, since anyone can send a C&D, and the C&D that was charged for was actually sent, there doesn't seem to be a scam there.
And for seconds, what on earth was in it for the 'scammer'...? Seems like an awful lot of work to go to for the sake of $100.
As for Daniel's mother's ID not being accepted, the whole problem there was that by the time they got to the 'prove you're a real person' stage, it was already fairly apparent that the person behind the account wasn't a 60-year-old woman... and her claims to have no connection to Mandelbaum/Matt Bonder (not knowing him, never having met him, and driving accross town to 'confront him' about Alpharius' missing stuff, before sending Alpharius some of the miniatures he was owed out of her own pocket because she 'felt bad' about the way this person who she totes didn't know had treated him,,,) just made the whole thing look a little dodgy when it was revealed that she was actually his mother...
The problem Resin Forge has now is that they have dug themselves exactly the same sort of hole. They swore black and blue that Daniel had nothing to do with their company right up until the police report. They lied about Dakka pre-emptively suspending any account they tried to make. They lied about Dakka deleting posts and suspending anyone who defended them. They have the nonsense story about a ninja hacker and his dodgy law firm who ripped them off.
At this point, what reason does anyone have to trust anything that they say about who is and isn't involved with their business?

Btw, and again for the record, Mandelbaum impersonated Susan Bisley, his mother, to me personally during the Lord.Serpius ebay account scandal. He did so while still using yet another alias, Matt Bonder... so an attempted double blind play. He admitted to this when confronted in PMs with me after a week or two of me asking the thread pertaining to that event to settle down as there was nothing conclusive yet. He tried to befriend me and make sure I continued to champion his cause as long as it lasted.
At the point where there were several slip-ups which definitively linked aspects of the bonder alias with the bisley alias, the jig was up. He copped to it with me, after several more attempts to pretend otherwise.
He took a picture of his mother and her id, then proceeded to continue to use her alias. Now he says we are the ones who mock and defile his dead mother... no one treated her worse than you Mandelbaum if you ask me.
Now this Stephanie 'Kim' Hernandez (because as you should all know, Kim is short for Stephanie) is his ex-wife from what can be seen from several sources. If he would use his mothers name, perhaps with, or perhaps without her knowledge, then I see no reason in the world he would not do the same to his ex.

You forgot that the fake company website (as far as I know and remember, somebody saw it before?) was just set up when the C&D letter had been published on Dakka. Not when the letter was sent. And it suddenly disappeared after I and others pointed out (publicly) diverse webpages from which the content was copy pasted. Causing Resin Forge to accuse Lexicanum of using our invincible internet-fu to IMMEDIATELY have the fake company website deleted from the internet.
So let's say RF got scammed. How many people would believe that after the scammers had collected their money they would hang out (of ALL places) on Dakka and on Lexicanum's Facebook page, waiting for somebody to discover the content of their page was cobbled together from other page and just then delete it - before disappearing in the night? They had their money, what would have been the point?

I can confirm that the 'real' Michael Duerkop did receive a paypal payment from Resin Forge, however at the time that payment was sent whomever was pretending to be Michael Duerkop (and had the Britcons.com website up and running) also had access to that paypal account.

It is possible that the "legal company" set up to send the C&D is just one of us (or another community member not affiliated with Dakka at all) who wanted to know the truth.
Think about it for a moment.
You (as in the Dakka community) wanted to know who ran RF.
A super IT Ninja PI Legal Consul contacted RF and told them he will take legal action on their behalf for the measly sum of $100. (I really wish that's all it cost me for my solicitor. But that's beside the point.)
However (and here's the kicker) He/She must be informed of all the directors of RF, to file the appropriate paperwork.
They comply. He/She sends a C&D to Dakka stating what everyone wants to know. (The Directors involved).
To me it seems simple:
YES RF was scammed by an unknown identity.
YES RF confirmed DM was a director.
YES you found out what you wanted to know.
Except by that point we already knew that Daniel was one of the owners, since he had confirmed it on Resin Forge's Facebook page. So as an information gathering exercise, it would have been pretty pointless.

What's better, is that the only way she could get my phone number is directly from Daniel, as I had only ever mentioned my extension here in this thread. I really wish I had forwarded calls to my cell, as I would have loved to speak with this person, but I am in no way giving out my personal number.

I hope to never hear from you or your colleagues again". Really? Have you or anyone connected to you contacted her/RF in any harassing manner?

Also, this is the first time I've ever had any contact with her or RF directly, other than a rather heated email chain last month which was with Daniel.

Daniel? I know you read this thread, so please take this as genuine heartfelt advice. Seek psychiatric help. Seriously. What you do is not normal, and will land you in serious trouble one of these days. You'll scam the wrong guy and get hurt, or drive away your real life friends and family, or fall afoul of the law for not paying your taxes (which judging by your unwillingness to provide a business registration number, I'm assuming you're dodging).
You have some real talent, I've seen some of your conversions in the past. Put it to good use. Talk to a psychologist, sort out your issues, and then if you decide its what you really want to do, start up a new business and be completely open about who you are. It might take a couple of years to win the community back and convince them you've reformed, but I've seen it done. Sort your head out first though, and stop all these identity charades. They don't fool anyone.

Not really, I used to use my google voice number when I wanted to text people not on my network or to call people that I didn't want to have my real number. Its not terribly suspect, but that, coupled with the fact that its coming from a company/person that is hiding behind the internet.
At a minimum, this is scripted. Whether Kim is a real person, or whatever, they were definitely reading from a piece of paper or a computer screen. Watch a real written confession or something along those lines being read, it sounds nearly identical through cadence, fairly monotone voice, breathing pattern and virtual lack of verbal punctuation.
Can ANYONE make out the noise in the background that starts at 12 seconds? It sounds like feedback or something, but I can't make it out. Not that it is, or is not relevant, I'm just wondering what it is.
I don't see why anyone should believe that recording.
It's pretty easy to use software to change a man's voice to sound like a woman's. You tend to get some distortion, which sounds like audio compression on a cheap circuit.
Alternatively it could have been assembled from audio clips.
It could even have been made by a malicious unknown third party who isn't associated with Resin Forge.

It's as simple as a legitimate business calling from a fake number. That alone is something that we have caught Daniel doing in the past and is just one of the reasons to doubt this story.

You have to understand the communities reluctance to accept things based only on word of mouth when it comes to ANYTHING related to Daniel Mandelbondsley. You are not obligated to do anything, but for the sake of your business you are currently poised to continue on having a massive black spot on your reputation should you choose to ignore the allegations. I didn't lie about Kim calling, hell I posted the voicemail she left. She called 7 minutes after business hours, conveniently enough to go straight to voicemail.

I'll also remind everyone that the only way RF knows my work # is if they got it from Daniel. That number is not posted anywhere public nor is it ever mentioned in any emails I've had with RF.

Resin Forge is the company that has a giant PR problem, if they feel that being afraid to call from a real phone number is something that a legitimate business does then that is up to them.
Leaving a message on a voice mail and going "OMG you recorded me" is pretty Daniel as well. If you believe Resin Forge is legit, then more power to you. They have not really done anything to make most people think so.
This is the exact playbook that we saw during his previous stunts, it is very familiar to us.

I can confirm that the 'real' Michael Duerkop did receive a paypal payment from Resin Forge, however at the time that payment was sent whomever was pretending to be Michael Duerkop (and had the Britcons.com website up and running) also had access to that paypal account.
After reading the emails from RF I was even starting to feel sorry for them and what they are going through, since all I was reading here was suspicion and quetioning of every single move they make as if everything was an orchestrated plan to rule the world. That was until I read this:

If you have not been around when the previous cases occured all this seems like too much of a hassle about a company with a big PR problem but once you really start to know the facts you see what a big mess this Daniel person has made and has brought to this company.

Basically because people don't believe things Mandelbaum or Resin Forge say any more.

Everything Mandelbaum and Resin Forge does to prove their story is done in a highly complicated, evasive and unverifiable way. People are actually asking for a few simple, clear answers to easy, straightforward questions.

Forming a new company will not prove he isn't involved, because only directors have to be listed. He could still be an owner or an employee.
No-one asked for Mandelbaum to be disowned from the company anyway. That is something RF decided to do once they realised what a liability his name is.
Resin Forge asked me to post this. Thought you all would find it interesting. I did remove the Transaction ID numbers because I don't know how revealing those are or if they can be used to get any access to accounts or anything. It is otherwise copy/pasted with no edits.

The emails are only partially convincing. Whilst on the face of it they show a claim being raised, there's no credence to the veracity of the information being supplied given its pedigree.

What worries me is that once this sorry tale comes to its natural conclusion, how long before it starts again? How much distrust has now been formented in any new startup that attempts to scratch a profit doing the same thing?

The name isn't really a contradiction. I know at least 3 women who go by their middle name, but use their first name on anything official.
The C&D letter being "official" they would have had to write "Stephanie Hernandez" then. Plus if they insist (see my quote) that the paypal system is on the name "Kim" and then it turns out it is on the name Stephanie, that is a contradiction. Um... the recording said that Kim was not Daniel's ex-wife, but looking at the memorial site for Dan's mom, there is a post from a Stephanie Hernandez (same spelling as the name in the PayPal claim) who mentions the union between her and Daniel as a young couple. Um... so she's not lying? She's not Daniel's ex-wife she's his current wife?

Stephanie tends to go by Stephanie everywhere else, only for rf was she suddenly Kim. Only through the PayPal was her real name discovered, to this point all that has been said is 'Kim is short for Stephanie', not a middle name lol.
At the absolute minimum there are huge lies happening about the relationship of Mandelbaum to rf. if it is his current wife, he walked away from the company by going into the next room for a few minutes lol. Our info indicates she is his ex wife though, going back a few years.
I still have a gut feeling though judging by the behavior of 'Kim' that she is likely a Mandelbaum alias and he is just using her info like he did his mothers. Can't prove it, but it is fishy as all hell at the least.
The only thing for sure is RFs continued dishonesty and weird behavior.

Well after the amount of direct, clear cut answers to direct, clear cut questions proves that the alleged "owners" would have a decent shot at being either a politician or a used car salesperson.
I think faced with the proposition of actually having to provide a LLC registration ID (in accordance with TX State law), and all the talk about contacting the State AG a couple dozen pages back, the RF owners realized continuing on their current glidepath could have resulted in bad legal juju if they didnt step lightly.
Regardless, I'm extremely grateful to the hard work by many of the community members in revealing DM's involvement with this company. I am a frequent bitz buyer, and had actually perused RF's site one or two times before this thread popped up. I'm sure you guys saved me and my brother days of frustration and monetary loss!!!
And so it ends...for now. But we will stay vigilant as the first line of defence against any further ridiculous "shenanigans" that he may bring in the future. It's been interesting to watch, each time folks on dakka and elsewhere have exposed more layers of his elaborate system of alias and evasion. There never were 3 people involved, there was only ever Mandelbonder. Much like the abuse he hurled on his mother's good name, he's now tarnished the name of his wife/ex-wife.
I find it alternatingly scary, funny, sad and disappointing that he did his best to maintain the illusion right up until the point that he F*ed up and shared the PayPal information with AduroT that showed the name the PayPal account was actually under. He forgot to alter the name, and got busted. Dakka noticed it and he was busted.
Only AFTER that point did he throw in the towel. He knew the jig was up.
I think the whole "trying to find a lawyer" thing was just stalling while he tried to find a way to game the system or put "realistic" looking misleading information out to us.

Only if you missed that that's a typical thing that DM does to paint himself as the victim every single time he's involved in something.

Face it, there isn't a 'Kim' or a 'Jason' - it's just Mandelbaum using his ex-wife's details (or his ex-wife's sister or whatever). It's the same pattern that he has used in the past (and I seem to recall him using the 'Jason' alias in his Three Stage Studios guise I believe).
He did the same thing previously when he tried to get his step-dad to play the business co-owner and call people/answer the phone so that people would think there was more than one person involved. Trouble is, it never washes, he always gets caught out in the lies he makes and ends up tripping over himself.
There is no-one else other than Mandelbaum losing out here; if there were other concerned parties then they would have swiftly proved so. Such evidence has not been revealed either here on Facebook for one reason and one reason only; because it is just Mandelbaum on his own and he has painted himself into a corner trying to use Kim/Stephanie/Jason aliases as a smokescreen, so now when the time comes to put up or shut up, he can't. The best he can do is get his wife/ex-wife/ex-wife's sister to make some phone calls and read out a statement or two and of course, it never really works for long before the whole deck of cards comes crashing down.
And thats how we treat ALL of our customers, repeat and single order customers. The haters hated Daniel, the owner who QUIT. Even after that and proving both Kim and I are real, that ment nothing. Now they brag how they destroyed a company run by 2 innocent people who did nothing bt provide great service to tons of people. Look at this very thread! We never confirmed either of these people. A woman called me. That proves nothing. Throw out a photo ID(with certain things like the ID number deleted) with a picture of you next to it and we'll talk about who is real. I can do it. It's easy.

You can't blame us. You were asked specific questions, and, like your hero, you avoided the hard ones that couldn't be answered.
Daniel has no one to blame but himself. If he had been honest from the start, all those years ago, he wouldn't have every honest gamer hunting his every move.

I found this thread and had a little hope that the three knights I purchased from Daniel in July 2012 and never delivered could be received by me. I went through all the promises). I provided all the email correspondence that I had from Daniel through October then he stopped responding. He sounded reasonable, I was used to this, and said that Resin Forge would be making good on all off Daniels past "incidences". Several emails and calls later he still was asking me about never receiving the product when it was originally ordered. The last two calls in the past week he said that he was having trouble getting the knights from the maker in France. So I contacted Enrique at resinlab models in France (the actual maker of the knights).

The truth is no one here destroyed any company. The owner(s) did through lack of transparency and feeling a necessity to combat the assertion that a certain person was involved with the company, which they themselves proved anyway.
Certain Dakka members sought to prove and inform that a certain someone was involved. This was achieved. Anything else was due to drama that Resin Forge itself created by attempting to stop that information coming to light and in the process proved the original assertion correct after all.

Has anyone in the USA reported him to the IRS for audit? I mean you have his name, address, phone number and know he trades online and claims to be a LLC. Same goes for Kim/Stephanie Hernandez not sure about the Jason fella though.

3. Resinforge says they intend to attend a Horus Heresy weekend and buy several copies of Fulgrim. 1. Resinforge is unable to post a single picture of their trip to the Uk to buy Fulgrims. When pressed, this is apparently because members of the resinforge team are in the photos. All of them. And somehow, Resinforge is bizarely technically incapable of cutting out the faces/figures or blurring them appropriately.
2. Daniel Mandelbaum supposedly leaves the company.
3. Despite several requests, Resinforge proves unable to provide a business registration number, something legally required for all Texan companies. Can anyone seriously read the above and tell me this is an actual legitimate company? One that I should buy from? Accusations of scamming and kim/stephanie's identities aside, I would NEVER buy from a company with the track record I just laid out.

I'm amazed at the amount of people that are sad that they are "Closing", even if RF were legit, which I doubt, watching that explosion on Facebook certainly would have sent me elsewhere. I wouldn't deal with a company that seems incapable of dealing with things in a professional manner.

Hmm. I have a "disposable" facebook account (beyond the one that was banned for asking a simple question) which I used to make a few thoughtful, honest comments on this explosion. Mostly comments about PR and public outrage not being particularly professional. That disposable account has now been banned and all comments deleted as well.
Clearly ONLY support will be allowed, despite the "Free speech and all that" (referencing the RF reply re: racist comment made by RF).
This is truly an example for anyone who wishes to do business of how not to handle public relations.

'Liking' on facebook don't necessarily mean that someone actually likes something. It can also just be a handy way of bookmarking a group page, since it appears in your profile in the list of pages that you like.

Well it's usually for companies and such. But it doesn't really work as people said here. Spam filters dont whipe your comments directly if you just post one time... Well spam filters is against spam. So they delete the comments themselves.

I think lots of them haven't looked. For example JoeMamma Hoover (whoever that is) said they will come over here and give it a shot. That to me sounds like they haven't been here before, so they were just sticking up for the store they bought stuff off/wanted to buy stuff off rather than checking it out. When they show up we can direct them to the evidence and they'll see all the problems, the inconsistencies, etc, and understand the problems with RF. And if they don't, then it's on them, but we can only hope to show the truth to as many people as possible.
I really wish people would understand, the danger of this guy is that he WILL do things properly for a while, you will be a happy customer if you buy at the right point! It is only later, when the ponzi scheme is ripe that he will disappear.

Frankly I am offended he immediately attributed it to Dakka as if we have ever condoned that type of talk, about anyone. Why us? I can currently see the page, and see new comments on the page, but I cannot comment on the page, nor do I have any posts on the page anymore. Which unless I'm mistaken, RF has probably hidden my posts from view.
Wow, scary: I just looked at the Resin Forge Facebook page, and two guys I personally know like them. Time to warn them. Just when you think a place like this will have no personal affect on you...they can get their hands on your friends. So yes, at least two likes are not purchased, they are from real people-I used to work with one of them, and played warhammer with the other in college.
I must admit this whole nonsense went in a direction I never expected. Would be nice to see all the "posts" of stalking and harassment that has caused them to shut down there store. I don't know if it means anything but there is nothing on their website stating that RF are not taking orders, so I decided to test out RF's ordering process on their website.
I got as far as clicking on confirm payment via paypal (wasn't going to go further than that!) - it would seem to me that contrary to RF stating otherwise they are still taking orders on their main website.
They said they're offering 'good deals' to customers to move their last stock on their Facebook page, then they're closing. So that's probably why you can still place orders.

I'm really disgusted by resin forge, I've never seen a "company" act the way they do. I simply do not understand how people are sticking up for them when they are doing nothing but bad mouthing anyone and everyone.
I mean its great that people in the community are looking out for each other and keeping people that may be harmful to said community in check, but at the same time you have people sticking up for someone that clearly is wrong and it seems crazy to me why anyone would do that.
After seeing some of the things posted on RFsFB I'm surprised they have any customers left at all. I do worry about the whole "closing down" sale. Seems like the perfect time to gather a bunch of money and close up shop.

He preys on people's good nature and willingness to want to believe him. I fell for it for a bit back in '09. Then I finally woke up.
And you and MT11 are right about the "fire sale". It's a perfect time for him to screw over a lot of his waning support. Kind of like a cult.....
Technically, Alpharius accused Mandelbaum of not sending goods. Since Resin Forge is not a limited company (or is it? the matter has never been clarified) Mandelbaum's debts are its debts, so RF owed Alpharius money. This was paid.
There was also the user who started the whole thing by a complaint about a month ago. I don't remember the name, but he was in Canada and had opened a PayPal dispute with RF, and they got him to cancel it, then the second parcel of goods didn't arrive.
After the storm broke, it was "discovered" that the goods had "twice been lost in Chicago by UPS" (how careless! Time for a new courier, perhaps?) but again, this user reported he was ultimately compensated by RF.
From that point of view, no-one on DakkaDakka has accused RF of not supplying the ordered goods, and two people who were in dispute have reported being paid back for their missing orders.
I'm amazed at the amount of effort being put into spinning the situation, instead of spending less effort posting a handful of pictures (with faces edited out) or providing a registration number to prove that they are a legitimate company.

In the interests of disclosure I can confirm that the image was edited to remove content that would fall short of Dakka's community standards (and has been clearly marked as so) and a to remove the name of a third party who may not want to be named on this site, nothing else has been amended.

He got out of paying customers back or sending goods for months to a year by saying fictional Matt Bonders fictional wife Sarah was dying of cancer and he was too busy taking care of her to send stuff. Of course people defended him, of course the victim looks like the a-hole for asking for their stuff in those circumstances.
Then after the wife, it was a fictional daughter also dying of cancer. Same reasons too, to dodge real questions and put the victims as the aggressor and put the liar and morally bankrupt individual as the victim.

My post was more to illustrate that Mandelbaum has no right to claim any credit or a pass based on something being 'too crazy' for him to say when the net result is to his benefit.

Indeed... at the same time although there is no rationality or honesty to be had from Mandelbaum, I do feel it is important to address his claims when we can to illustrate to people he is duping that it isn't at all, not one bit, anything like he is painting it out to be on that site. Even if RF sends them their stuff, it doesn't mean he isn't absolutely bold-faced lying to his customers on nearly every single front, which in itself is a problem regardless of delivery. Not to say delivery is by any means a given either of course.

Yeah its blatantly obvious.. there is a guy my mate works with who is a total tit who routinely takes months off work, and its always under the guise of his missus having a miscarriage. My mate said he gets so wound up about it he has taken to remembering the dates, and he has had about 12 months off in total over the last few years, all on full pay, because his missus has about four miscarriages a year.

I have one statement of correction and one question on it.
1) It wasn't a daughter. It was a Son. I remember this specifically, as the "Son" was named Erin (this is how he spelled the son's name). I remember that specifically, as [a] I have a daughter with that name and [b] wondered, but did not ask -as I was a believer at that time- why he spelled it like a girl's name.
2) Question... Didn't "Matt" lose his "Son" then his "Wife" in the stories he told? I could be misremembering, but that is how I THOUGHT it went.

True, it did happen back in Jan., but the harassing phones calls sounds like what I have read others say DM has done before...oh well.

The police report has it classified as "family violence", make of that what you will.

And because they themselves only communicate publicly via Facebook. People would have to drop by this thread specifically looking for it. On Facebook pages fast spreading news moves in very different patterns through shares and newsfeeds.
