Pretty good! I've hit that point where I don't know what else to do, so I should probably just stop now and take pictures before I do something dumb and ruin it.

So I guess you could say I'm about done. I'm fairly happy with the way it all turned out. We'll see if the voters agree with me.

That sounds great. I'm feeling my mini is too bland... But I don't think I can do much to fix that.

Still doing something on the base. I think I'm still 2-3 days away from being done with it completely. But then again, I'm a slow painter.

All done, barring the base. My WiP pic is a late in the process one as I didn't read the rules paaack ooops! Some bits I'm really happy with, some not so. My main concern is getting good pics of it

I undercoated my mini tonight.

First few layers and washes are on. New GW paints are "intresting"

So, got home today and found a little parcel in my letter box. WIP shot taken, basecoat done... I just need some inspiration now.

There was a little bit more cleaning up of the model than I had initially expected, but at least I didn't have to sculpt any detail back.

I have my first batch-painted unit. Since I had somehow amassed a whole four (!) Muyibs without getting them all painted. So I sat down last night and attacked them with a vengeance. So I'll have to take some snaps of those when I get home. I was going to do it last night, but my phone was so low on battery that it wouldn't let me take pictures.

Bloody technology.

My problem will mainly taking good pictures. Well, I know my painting skills are not as good as some here but I think it's coming along okay. Unfortunately real life is getting in the way lol.

That's how it goes.

I would go look up some tutorials on making a light box, or if you can afford one, just going out to a photo-store and buying on.

That right there can make a big difference in everthing.

You want some really powerful lighting to go with a lightbox... I found the ones that came with mine were nowhere near powerful enough and just cast lots of shadows, rather than getting rid of them.


I keep being distracted from my Infinity model by other things. I should really clear off my painting table so that it's the only mode on there... the Cyber-mastif I painted last night isn't going to be of any use to this competition :/

MIne are coming along nicely. My only issue is with five to pick from, I fear after the comp when I can show the rest that I had to pick from. I'll hear folks note.. should have picked number two for the comp MDS, not number four.

Regardless, it'll mean my first five Infinity figs are finished, hopefully I can press on and get my Nomads finished afterwards.

I'm still prepping my mini for a WiP shot. I hope I make in time.

Made some good progress on mine and I'm pretty happy with it. I also tried some of the new GW paints.. They actually made a competent white, for a change!

We should really have a tutorial of how to have to befriend/date/coerce/bribe a professional product photographer and convince him/her to take photos of your work.

I thought I was 95% done but my OCness kicked in... and I redid the base. GUH.

Almost ready for the final photo shoot I'm really happy, its pushed me to take more time and actually enjoy some brush time.

The first mini I painted for this turned out pretty poor. Going to start another one tonight. I guess the first one was actually the first mini I ever painted. UT was pretty good UN that regard and I learned a few things for the next one.

Ohgodohgodohgod I'm panicking. I think I just made a horrible mistake and I need to redo my entry all over again >___<.

Same here! I'll probably remember to paint it a day or two before deadline, rush it, and end up with something below my usual painting standards.... it will be quite annoying, but I have some commission work to do and don't really find the time to paint anything else.....

I just opened up the blister pack! May look at the mini tomorrow
