I like the bases of the Lobbas and ammo runts and OBJ's - their color around the rims really fits the rest of the model.

The bases... ugh. Goblin green bases make peoples eyes drift away from the model. If you cover them up with your hand and look at them your eyes drift all over the model to all the little details and awesomeness. I think the bases are distracting and the army would look much nicer with a more neutral tone.

Wish I found 40k in my neighbors trash! Great conversions mate, Keep up the good work.

I'm not a religious man but it made me wonder. I mean a whole freakin land raider in the neighbours garbage just as I wanted to build a battlewagon.

I really like the black and white - very Goff. Your modeling is off the hook and very inspirational. The Skorchas and the really big bow legged monstrosity are my favorites.

Where did you get the face plate on your Deff Dredd - the one that looks like a smaller scale of the plate thats on your battalewagon?

New wip shtuff. a Buddy of mine hooked me up with an assault on black reach dreadnought so I give it an orkification and voila a shooty deffdread. I managed to make a mega armored warboss out of some of the leftovers from a killa kan box, a stompa foot and an assault on black reach warboss. Next up is my count as snikrot model. I used the torso from the aobr warboss and a few other leftover bitz. His head a little small but I still like how he turned out. I'm really excited about the last new thing. It's an ork warkopta. The rules are from imperial armour 8. It's basically a lightly armoured open topped fast skimmer with a skorcha and a "rattler kanon", a shoota that fires 2D6 but if ya get doubles it runs out of ammo/jams. The main hull is made up of a stompa foot and the front of a landspeeder. I've also put some vdr rules together for it for bigger games giving it armour 12 on the front and side ala valk. I just got a valk stand for it in the mail today, all that's left is to magnetize it.

Rock solid awesomeness.

Your converting skills for orks are pretty much the best I've ever seen! It's a shame you seem to have had a dose of 'powdery primer', but since it is orks it is not showing much in the final result. I would suggest that you do 3 things, first, hit the white with another coat, and use a sponge chipping technique on it after. Second, get a hold of some weathering powder and dirty em up a bit more. 3, I think brown base edges would work better, as they are very 2 color now, and switching them to brown would put more focus on the green skin of the orks.

Spectacular work so far, you are going to be inspiring plenty of people with that!

I love powdery primer, fits my style of painting

What's the sponge chipping technique? How does weathering powder work, I've seen on forgeworld's site, never understood it.

Never gonna change the bases, old school eavy metal for life.

Thanks for the kind words guy, I'd like to know more about the weathering powder and the sponge chipping.

Dude I play orks as well and I must say you have done them justice. You did not fall into the trap of just glueing stuff all over the place and calling it orky, it actually looks like the stuff you build could work. I LOVE the warboss on the bike, brilliant.

I HAVE A MAJOR PROBLEM WITH THIS ENTIRE THREAD! . . . . AND THAT'S THAT IT'S TOO DARN GOOD!

I'm supposed to be focused on my BA and all I'm thinking now is Orks Orks Orks!

Amazing!

Loving everything! The Goblin Green rims work really really well. Touch of old skool bought right up to date.

Looking forward to more!

It's basically 2 stompa feet, the front of a land speeder, 2 tau engine things from the devilfish kit and a few extra non gw bitz. Feel freet to give it a go, I'd be flattered to see more like'er.

Thanks guy, I've tried to make them the no foolin around orks. My army is mostly nobz, sorta like the elite center of a goff whaaag. Lotsa dead space marines and looted marine vehicles.

This thread is amazing. I've been around Dakka for a while and I have to say that this is quite possibly the most Orky thread I've seen overall. If it's not, I can't think of one off the top of my head that I liked more. Your modeling skills are pure madness, your painting skills are inspiring, but what really sells it for me is your photography. You know how to take a great picture, and the atmosphere you create really adds another level that the model alone could not accomplish.

Absolute pure awesomeness and over-the-top win. You are obviously a profet for Mork an' Gork both.

I've been procrastinating on the storm boyz, mostly just because I can't see myself using them too often. I shifted my focus on to my nob bikers. I don't plan on making a "nob biker list" but I do think they're a better choice than nobz in a battle wagon, mostly because it's hard to slow the bastards down. It's been a while in the making but my bikerboss finally has an entourage. I went with only one power klaw and gave the rest big choppas. The painboy is the actual painboy model with a bit of modification. I gave the the painboy's circular saw to another nob to count as a big choppa. 2 of the bikes are based off of chaos bikes I grabbed off a buddy. I'm happy with how everything turned out, can't wait to see how they do on the battlefield.
