Its the first 40k/Fantasy site I came across and, without peer as far as I am concerned. At various times I have been directed to view threads on other sites and have always had a timely reminder as to why I choose to post on Dakka, why I enjoy whiling away the hours here and why it feels like home.
Many thanks to you Lego, for donating both your time and money to maintaining Dakka and keeping it running smoothly - the community is indebted to you. All the best with the birthday - I come to dread them with each passing year these days (its usually the advent of more grey hairs!)

Lego actually lives within a pocket of space-time that goes twice as fast as the rest of the world. It's how he can get all the awesome done on time for us.

I love discussing the hobby on here. The people are always friendly and very helpful. And I love browsing the gallery and seeing all the amazing stuff various dakkanauts have modeled and painted.

Dakka's a great site with a great community, and it rarely ceases to keep me interested. Well done, thanks, and have a happy birthday! Here's another cake.
All purity seals should look like that, btw.

I thought I knew what a good 40k community was but then I came upon dakka. I love the higher then normal maturity level in here as well as all aspects of the hobby being covered, not only one particular army.
I get lots of inspiration from the site and have made lots of new friends and I´m so impressed by the mod team with members like Mannahnin, Reds8n and Alpharius and the good work those awesome dudes do that I´m on my way to get me a DCM soon.
Dakka is the first thing that gets on when computer starts and reading interesting topics and threads while munching down my B.fast always makes for a nice start of a day.
Happy B.day dude and thanks to you and the mods for the best hobby site in the universe
I've said it plenty of times, but Dakka is from a technical standpoint one of the best quality discussion sites I've dealt with and I love that it's always improving.
Good job. Only website I've ever felt motivated enough to donate to!
I enjoy Dakka Dakka for it's always cynical view of the gaming industry. Constant love fests aren't productive, so a bit of criticism is good sometimes.
Plus, hey, no one's gotten mad at me for shamelessly shilling for my preferred game.

Working on someting you'll either love or hate. Hopefully to be revealed by November.
Play the games that make you happy.
I compare Dakka Dakka to a woman. Dakka is lovely blonde women with many great perks With gallerys on the right, fluff competitions, every gamer wishes that their wife was a dakka dakka.
By the way i just learned something interesting, this places buttons all make sense
Thank You Legoburner
From whom are unforgiven we bring the mercy of war.
This site makes coming to work in the morning worth while Almost everyone is nice and the there's so much useful information on here, its really helped me improve everything about my hobby; painting, tactic's, being able to ramble pointlessly about fluff that nobody else I game with knows anything about, its all good!
Hope you enjoy what's left of your birthday Lego Thanks for everything!
Dakka's about the only thing that makes work bearable and gets me through the day - inspirational p&m section, informative discussions and an all round good bunch of people... It's helped me out no end as a new player, and improved my painting no end...
Happy birthday Lego... God bless Dakka and all who sail in her...
Damn you Lego your site got me back into the hobby. After getting all my old miniatures back from my folks. I had the intention of flogging them on eBay and making some money. Researching what I had on Google images lead me to the gallery and I stayed. Now instead of making a few quid I am considerably poorer and its your fault.
To Legoburner: As I tell all my friends and family members, "Happy Birthday, Mother fether!" My grandmother really hates that, by the way.
The best part of the site is the gallery section. Thank you very much for providing the bandwidth to host all of the wonderful pictures that people have taken of their miniatures. I don't vote as often as I should, but I enjoy thumbing through there.
I also enjoy the news and rumors section. Sometimes, I just gotta know what is coming soon in my new hobby (40k) or my old hobby (modeling, in general).
The painting and modeling forum is always great when I need some inspiration. There are some very talented artists in this hobby.
While 40k Discussion/Background is hit or miss. I'm relatively new to 40k, so there is a lot that I still learn in these forums.
Keep up the good work.

Have to say that I enjoyed having a bit of a chat with you in Nottingham at the Dakka Warhammer World meet/tournament - you seem a nice chap
In terms of Dakka itself... it is pretty cool with a reasonably friendly membership, excellent gallery integration, article section (just got into making articles ), excellent P&M/PLog sections (also love the new showcase section).
Also like that we can all argue about politics and religion in the OT forum
Congratulations on your ascent into a greater age! May your mind stay as sharp as a faithful blade, and may your cake be plentiful and fulfilling!
Thanks for being the brains behind the boards (and the minecraft server) that keeps the engine of the site well oiled!
May you spawn many offspring of Lego to carry on your great work!
Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.

I still use dakka for >1 hour every day after 11 years of membership.

This is the most comprehensive base of knowledge for all things 40K. Painting, tactics, armies, randomness, fluff arguments, FAQs, up to date news about GW releases...I could go on. It is a nexus of information and hobbycraft, and I enjoy it so thoroughly. This website is one of the reasons I got into 40K. And on the technical aspects, I can say that the site runs smoothly, is easy to navigate, and contains all the good attributes of fine interactive design. I really appreciate how well done and maintained it is. Happy Birthday!
This is by far the best looking, and simplest wargaming forum on the internet. The people here are also great, there's a whole range of them and most are good people.
For making this possible Legoburner; I thank you great one.
I dread the day that I come to work and discover the firewall has finally blocked Dakka. Sometimes I have nightmares about it. This place keeps me sane, seriously.
Thanks for all the hard work, LB. I love the gallery and the DCM gentleman's lounge. You deserve no less than a free re-roll at any in-store GW event. Quite possibly at any GW event!
