Honestly, it is all about distribution, Because you purchased the products and are advertising the GMS and not Games workshop you are avoiding infringing on copyright law, You would not be selling them for mass distribution, just people would pay you for a shirt of the project.

I am a triple business major and excel at Business Law.

And honestly you could find out how many people would be interested and get them a quote, then they would pay and you would have the shirts made and then ship them out, using paypal, your lady would not be out a single penny and honestly you might make a few bucks to help with the hobby which is not a "Profit" Margin.

Just trying to throw some good ideas your way and assure you of the lack of trouble.

So, if this is to promote the GMS, are you suggesting a separate pic of my two GMS squads? Or use this pic with the the GMS marines in with the rest? Good as they are, I don't think two squads of marines would be as visually captivating... but then I guess that's what the model is for.

You could do up a Kickstarter...

Honestly, Ask the people who would buy them, Would those people Prefer just the GMS or the whole army? And even throw a Mention of Dakka Dakka on the Arms and you have a double whammy of both creative nature and an advertisement for our favorite Forum.

I personally bet people would love a nice group shot of the Marines so that they could see theirs in the mix, not to mention maybe more people would do projects like that and build a much bigger closer community.

Just some Idea's but i would ask those who were in it.

I would go with the larger army picture on the back, And I would assume if we intended to use Dakka Dakka we would def ask.

I think the entire army shot would get lost on a T shirt, it could be harder to recognize what it's all about straight away, I would think (and much prefer) the GMS marines in the first pic, either in colour, B&W or digitally adjusted to look slightly 'comic' would be fantastic, and yes i'd be interested in purchasing one as well if you decide to run with the project? but judging from the response I believe it could be worthwhile if the costs work out!

That's just funny... And yes of course you're right. I wouldn't expect the Admin to agree either... as it would look like they were endorsing me over other members. I might be able to purchase the rights to use the logo on the shirt... but then this is getting into flights of fantasy. At the moment I have to budget nearly all my mad money, so dumping significant sums on a few t-shirts is probably not logical.

I suggest we let git concentrate on what he does best. Make and paint awesomeness in model form. If he gets further distracted think of how much longer we would have to wait between updates. That would be Unacceptable!

Honestly it would be great advertising for Dakka that would be free for them and I honestly think they would be happy for it because you are just showing where they were featured,

We already see people are interested and I would be willing to price the stuff for you if ya wanted Git, NTM that if people pre -pay your not out a penny. Yjis is more about getting the projects out there and people feeling proud about their work then it is about money.

Slightly less grumpy update...

Finished lining the shadows which is a very tedious job... but it really does make a big difference and can't be skipped. Also started painting some of the details. I'd have a pic for you by now except that my light tent is still filled with the army, and getting everything safely tucked away can be a bit of a chore.

The army itself has undergone a major re-write after last weekend's tournament trials. It's all still tentative however. Luckily these "major re-writes" only involve changing a few key elements... so the actual amount of new models that need to be added to the painting list are small (one or two). I may not go with the re-write... but I will experiment with it a few times to see if it's viable.

Sorry for not writing up any battle reports. Had a major camera malfunction (though I didn't know it at the time) that completely wiped out all the shots of the first game which was by far the most interesting. While I had thought I'd taken a full set of pics for games 2 and 3... in looking at the shots I apparently did not. So I'm trying to decide if there's enough there to try to piece something together or not (writing up a batrep is a lot of work).

So, depending... I will try and get you guys some pics tonight.

An outline at the minimum would be of interest, especially any lessons learnt - especially where they influence your "major re-writes"
