Love him! He really looks like he's putitng his waight behind the swing now! I agree that the handle could use some thickening or adding to; maybe you cna ge thold of the axe arm from the bike rnob? He has a pretty massive axe, the handle might fit?
It's when compared to a regul rboy that you can fullly appreciate his size I feel; this is going to be one massive beast! Exhasut, the big shoota, a banner, a scenic base,... will all make him stand out even more from the crowd. For Dark Angel bitz, you could add wings to the top of his armour?

That *is* the biker Nob axe! (back of hammer and lower handle)

I hadn't considered the exhaust until I did the comparison with my Meganob... There will be wingz on his helmet - but this will be carried by one of his Grot wounds markers/bearers. It's possible I can add more (a la the Stormboyz Nobz)

It was an idea - but I already had the Ghazghkull model, and, well, I'm really liking how he is turning out!
Enough babble - more pics!
Morgrim, WIP (counts as Mega-armoured Warboss with Twin linked Shootas)
I've also shortened and thickened the hammer handle - this was before I saw the Dreadknight

Exchangeable, of course. Oh and side pics for those that requested it. Don't say I don't listen!

The Twin Linked Shootas or the Big Shoota? The Big Shoota is "regulation" size but can come across as a bit weedy. Still - I don't want to draw excess attention away from the hammer (and later, shield) - so I don't have a problem with it at the moment. Plus - he rarely uses it anyway...

Both I agree they're both regular size, but regular size bit on a ghaz sized body means the bits look small. Still, since it' s more of a cosmetic addition on a warboss, it doesn't have to be huge, of course. The shield, on the other hand...

You know, I thought so too. But then I thought, why can he take an ammo runt? So I checked - and he does just have a single Big Shoota. I'm sure in 3rd Ed it was twin linked. The model has two barrels. But the rules just say singular. Go figure. BTW - you can always do a second Megaboss

I wouldn't want the twin linked Shootas any bigger. I am considering swapping the Big Shoota for one of the FW ones now (the multiple barrels rotating one). Don't worry - the shield will be suitably proportioned to balance the hammer
Okay - enough with the Dreadknight. I brought it up because I saw its huge hammer. There is no danger of me switching to Grey Knights - I've just put in a large bits order in order to continue with Morgrim. In the meantime, I got started on his retinue...
Very WIP - the beginnings of Meganob - Codename: War Machine
I'm going to build up the Mega-armour on the arms myself. (I think I'll keep the Mega-armour arms for some future Nobz...) You have to imagine (for the moment) that he is sporting wrist mounted Shootas...

Pulling an SB job on this latest megaboy should be interesting. And as for the whole TL thing with Ghazkhull- I don't know of too many BS 3 orks; do you? He's a bad shot and needs the extra bullet output to compensate for his lack of accuracy.

Avoided cleaning up Codename: War Machine and instead started on Codename: Predator. Should be... interesting... Pic(s) tomorrow - but very early days yet. Well yeah... He needs the extra gun to even count as a regular shoota due to his low aiming capabilities...
It would take at least a good 3 or 4 shootas before he got TL

@joshoftheforest, NoBaconz4You: Thanks! And I'll do my best!
@Lord Kaesar II: I think I misunderstood you - I thought we were comparing twin-linked big shoota to big shoota, not big shoota to twin-linked shoota... nevermind...
Right. One sole, lonely pic before next week...
This is Codename: Predator. You will have to imagine him at this point with a shoulder mounted (right side) shoota, underslung shoota (counts as twin-linked) or rokkit (counts as kombi rokkit) or skorcha (counts as kombi skorcha) (left side arm), Predator "Klaws" on both fists, mega-armour on the arms and fists, and dreads - don't forget the dreads! Did I mention he is very early WIP?
I was originally going to do only one "Klaw" - and was having issues thinking where to put the second part of his shoota... Then I had the idea for a lightning "klawz" pose - 2 grotz, one stone! I think the pose will work - but I can't help wondering if I would be worth going the extra mile and trying to do the "classic" twin lightning claw pose - you know - like the Space Hulk Terminator. This is close-ish... but it's not *it*.
Suggestions welcome as always.
With Terminator bitz on the way - the other two are looking like being:
1) thunder hammer, shield, "cyclone missile launcher"-ish - shoulder mounted shootas (one each side), one replaceable with a rokkit.
2) open to suggestion - I had a list somewhere around here.... I think I had the cyclone and thunderhammer/stormshield ones separate before...

Think the pose is close enough to get the idea across considering there'll be an 'underslung' weapon going in there, which might not look so cool in an arms-wide-come-and-get-it stylee.
Have you thought out the scratch-built armour for arms yet?
