Thanks for the kind words. I am going to be too busy for the next week or so to do much of anything with Bigtoof. I have arranged my desk to start on the wood work, though, so I'll be able to get into it right away when the time comes.

I'm also working on a scenario for Bigtoof and the planet I've decided to set it on: 88 Tanstar. Eldar, IG and the =][= are involved, as well as a band of Kroot and the Tyrant Star prophesy! (the orks go without saying, I hope)

Nah, it's just fer kicks. These projects come out of my head compulsively, so I make sure they are at least fun to work on, if not fun to have later, too.

So the grot is my head, and Gutsnik's head is just hanging off my chest.

I've almost got the hand to the same level as the wrist, so I'll throw a pic up on this post when I'm done with the fingers.

The hull of the Dread-Klaw is together. I'm just figuring the final measurements for the wrist joint. I think I'll need a bit more PVC pipe. Then it's time to save up for the PVC sheets. I'll try to find some in town before I buy them online.

Anyhoo- here's a couple pics:

Here's one to give ou an idea of the size of this thing:

I'm gonna rig marionette style controls for the wrist and finger articulation (rods and ropes). After the joint is finished I'll start adding gubbinz, worky bits and hoses attaching to my arm and the like.

What do you think?

and here is the wrist joint. I just need to connect the control bar to the hand, which will happen once the fingers are in place.

The thought did cross my mind... but i'd hate to take one off so I could drink some water.

And drinking with a straw kills all the bad ass points the dread-klaws have... I think.

Well, off to get the last bits of PVC for the fingers to work.

Unless that straw is a rubber hose connected to a camel pack hidden within the costume... Ok, it could be cool!

I gotta do some redesign work on Gutsnik's rail gun shoota. Right now it could pass for the Grav-gun from =][=, but it's supposed to be a Tau rail gun... even though I based it on the pulse carbine. ;P

Ok, I've decided to work up a Wrait Gurad and it's accompanying Warlock as Samurai Jack and the Scotsman. The Warlock will have an Executioner. I'm not sure of his power yet.

This is my hobby until the room is painted and rearranged. This is what it's been while i've been building the Dread-Klaw. That and to use up my cardboard stash is why I started the Dread-Klaw. I've got all the PVC I need to finish now, just waiting for the opportunity.
