What won the conversion contest any ways? That boat thing? I just want to say I actually voted for your stompa at gamesday this past Saturday lol. Amazing!

Thanks all!

@Icelord: Yeah the boat thing won. They ended up giving the guy people's choice and studio favorite. I figured with the ridiculous amount of money he threw at it, he could take home a trophy. Thanks for your vote though!

Now that the contest has come and gone, I'm no longer a slave to the "Must be 60% GW product" rule. I plan to add a fair bit of detail, not the least of which being hydraulics and some armor plating to help bulk out the arms and legs a bit. i want to add a second grot bomb, and a handful more riggers climbing around. But for now, I need a break. The last three weeks before Gamseday were a bit crazy, and I need a break.

Glad you all like it! Not sure when I'll get around to painting it, but eventually it'll see my standard "bloo flame" treatment. Better photos to come sometime this week!

I feel the actual 'head' on your stompa has a bit superfluous teeth. Maybe add some slightly larger tusks on each end and maybe bulk out the jaw? I think for me it'd make the head seem a bit more Orky. That said, that miniature is totally awesome sauce!

Teek, I was just reminded of the plethora of awesome conversions you have done here and I had to speak out.

Next session of modeling I get, I think I'll spend with one eye on your thread.

Keep up the great work!

They might have voted for my boat, not for the cost but for the originality and percentage of GW plastic. I liked your conversion as well as the hovercraft (I voted for the hovercraft) For this year I made the large ork plane.

< thread necro > Arise! < /thread necro >

So it's been almost a decade since I started this Stompa. I've gained another degree, moved states, got a new job... life stuff.

I'll make no bones about it: this GW Renaissance has pulled me back to the table. Duncan videos, a presence at independent events like Adepticon, they're finally doing things right. So I dusted off the tools and got back to work on the big guy.

Goals: Bulk out the arms, Reinforce the Shoulders, Add Worky Bits. Done!

Used some of the leftover stompa bits, most notably the CCW arm 'bicep' is made from the normal Stompa ankles

I even bulked out the Teef - what self respecting Warboss doesn't want MORE TEEF!

Full 360 pics in the gallery.

Feels good to be back. Not sure what's next, though I've sketched out plans for 2 more ridiculous Warphead conversions.

And I've been painting Shadespire...
Aaaaand I have ideas for a Gorkanaut...
Aaaaaannnnnd Buggies, Flyers, more Lootas....
