Yeah, it's Warmill's bases that I've been eyeing up, with the nice engraved unit markings on them. I especially like the display bases on page 1 of his thread.

Wowwwwwwww they look great!

They already do a nice range of Necron stuff (in the same Neon green acryllic as the gauss weapons, if you want) which is always being expanded. Also they are really good at designing stuff too so if you set them a challenge with the pain tokens you will see what they can come up with also if you have your own logo or emblem they can C'N'C it on there too

Ok Julie has been to see the Haemonculus today, she's very embarrassed by the whole thing, but her double arm transplant has been a blinding success! yay!

Sky bitch has also been to the Haemonculus's work shop ; she need'd him to look her fat arms and dislocated right shoulder.
To this end she has recieved some new hair, thinner arms and a new shoulder pad.
Plus a first lick of paint.

I had a few friends over for a BBQ... god that was the worst rainy BBQ I've ever seen! but stiff upper lip and all that we had a blast...
I Showed a couple of chicks the hobby and let them loose in the war room, went to attend some other stuff and then when I came back one hellion had got her hair repainted :( and the skybitch was base coated!

But the effort was actually quite good for someone who's never painted a mini before. This is something I'm going to investigate!

Also good new I've received re-enforcements, Scourges, Venoms and Talos.

Venoms. Not bothering with hangers on, as they are wychs and my passengers will be trueborn.
Might set up a trade looking for warrior hangers on/crew.

got basic spray and first layer of inking done yesterday, I'm planning on painting the canopy a solid colour, green, so I don't have to bother with the driver.
With a bit of luck I'll finish these today and It'll start to look like a army!

I love the Lelith/Baron conversion. I have been planning on doing the exact same thing for my fledging DE force, but with the weapon held slightly differently. This plog is very inspiring!

I can't wait to see the venoms done, I am on the fence about how to paint mine.

It's very nice to see some one else with a bit of a hellion addiction. I think you're a full blown nutter though.

So I started the day with the breakfast of champions... a cup of Dakka and Toast!



After that power up I finished up the first of the Venoms.


what do you thnk of the green canopies? It saves so much time and I think Looks ok.



I did't put any chicks hanging on, so i guess this is how I'll mark up a squad embarked?

I think the streakiness on the canopies is a really cool effect. Eldar and Deldar are all about experimenting and trying out paint styles with. What's even better is that it also saves you time. Good stuff, Panic.

Omg.... I am very jealous rigth now. But anyways, the army looks amazing, how many points will it land on? 60+ Helions and vennoms? I sense well above 1800 points

I like the green glass, never been a fan of the see through canopies tbh. It saves time, usually looks cooler and you get more spare bits!

Love the green canopies Panic! Your paint scheme is really cool and lends a comic book kind of feel to the army (appropriate for an army of Green Goblins/Hobgoblins). Keep up the great work. Can't wait to see this army in action against ArbitorIan.

I'm a fan of painted canopies, I did it with my Falcon hulled tanks and intend to do it with my Venoms too. Yours looks great, I think the crazy neon effect can't only really be pulled off by Eldar of either variety hahaha

Clear bases are interesting too...it doesn't look right when you have them sitting on paper for a photo...but when they are on terrain they look fantastic!

The plan/list keeps changing, The army will always have lots of hellions led by the Sky Bitch. the last list I played with had 30 hellions at 1500...

lots of love for the Painted canopies. I also Painted my old CraftWorld Eldar canopies.

But that was because I'd gotten falcons with the canopy missing on ebay and getting spares turned out to be a nightmare.
so I made some out of green stuff, So all the paint had to go on top of the canopies...

this time I played with paint under the plastic.
They're painted blue and green under the plastic and the purple is on the top of the plastic.

The ink was allowed to run into the creases ontop of the clear plastic but water tension kept the ink close to the ridges, and mostly off the main surface.

Its a couple custom mixes.
dark mix = skull white and Hormagaunt Purple...
light mix = Extra skull white and Hormagaunt Purple.

anyway the painting is very quick.
Light mix > ink leviathan purple > Highlight Dark Mix > top Highlights with the Lightmix...
I'm keeping the girls simple so I'm not bothering with painting in eyes etc...

The next two venoms are almost done..

Just the blue high lights and some skin to finish.

The canopies are very well executed, the army is coming along really nicely! I especially enjoy your hellion lord model conversion! Leltih is a great model!

What could look really good is if you had "tinnted plastic" that was green but you saw the driver.Now thatr would be cool!
